Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Edelweiss felt drained as she walked inside the Merchant's shop. She had far too many things in her mind, and going on in her life, to care about frolicking among the shelves and looking around the wares like she usually did in her usual visits to the place. JUst walk to the couter and request what she came there for.
"Gating II and III, and Necromancy I please."
70 - 16 - 24 - 8 = 22 EMP remaining

Body bent, Sayvahn entered the store, not bothering to remove his hat. He was not a wanted man, as per say, but everytime the feline saw a blur of movement, his body tensed, as if aching, as if sensing what was to come. Even blue, the color of EIRAL, had sent new shivers down his spine when before they had only evoked glances. Stepping toward the merchant, he placed a pouch onto the table, his savings, slowly dwindling since the blond had closed the barber shop.
“Please–Teach me.” The barber spoke, pushing the pouch closer to the merchant, along with a list:
Kinetics, I-II, Geomancy, I and lastly, Deceit, I 8+16+8+8= 40 42-40= 2
Gladys walked in, chin held high as she marched in her guard uniform. She set the money on the counter and asked in a clear voice, "Steam Armor, rank two please. I'll be free after patrolling on Tuesday." She then turned to leave, a small smile one her face at the thought of learning something new. 16 - 16 = 0 EMP remaining

Lasair strode into the skills merchant as his usual calm self. He needed to debate on what he wanted to buy for a few moments, but then he settled on his order. “Gating IV and Deceit II please. I'll take the first time slot you're free.” He did long to get the last rank of Gating, but not yet. There was ever more magic he needed to learn, after all. 66 – (32 + 16) = 18 EMP remaining

Another day, another visit. The redhead approached the counter and greeted the merchant with a nod and quick 'good evening' before taking some EMP out of her wallet and placing it in front of him. "Pyromancy I and II, Toxins V, and CW I and II, please and thank you."
Stumbling in, a larger man rushed through the doors, coughing slightly as soot lingered on his clothes and face, except for the area around his eyes where goggles used to be. "Oh my goodness, I'm sorry I'm late!" He coughed, dropping a bag full of coins in front of the merchant. "I, um, am having some money problems with the bank, but well, I know I have enough money to pay for SR IV." Wern stuttered, shuffling the purse closer to the merchant just as a fairly skinny older woman rushed into the door frame. "Wern, come back! I swear it wont' blow up this time. Also I think Goya is still on fire" The woman called, and the mechanic winced. "T-thank you for your time. And sorry, again, that I'm so late but, um, duty calls." And with that, the temporary guild leader was gone, running out while muttering an "Oh dear" over and over.
total 39 SR IV= 32 39-32= 7 EMP (but not all of my points were tallied so I still have some leftover)
Once more, the hooded figure made its way into the store at its most deserted time. Shuffling forward, it once again placed a bag of money on the counter-top and passed the Skills Merchant a note.
It read:
Requesting Steam Robotics IV and V, Fortify I, Augment V, and Gadgets I for myself. Once more, I will meet with you at your most deserted hour.
- A.
The skills merchant glanced at the figure, and with a sigh, began to verify the right amount of money. "When are you going to stop playing this charade?" he asked as he made a note in his planner.
Though he could not see the figure's face, he felt as if the figure was smiling. Then, in a metallic, but vaguely familiar voice, he heard it say a single word before slipping out of the shop:
"I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible! And when I leave, you will finally understand why storms are named after people!" - Taryn, Nerf This

Stephen walked in with a tired, worn look. Rubbing his tired eye, he put his money on the counter and pointed to Firearms I, II, and III. Once the trade was made, he adjusted his muddy coat and left without a word.

Jovena rushed in!
"Am I too late?!" She asked in a huff. Seemed the door was still open and the merchant still doing business behind the counter. She straightened up and tried not to look as frantic as she felt ten seconds ago.
She calmly walked to the counter and offered up her money. "UC II, please."
Clairee was a bit quieter. Maybe the magic users were always the quieter ones? It was still considered pretty taboo to be an ander after all. Despite that they had bigger problems to worry about nowadays.
"Cryomancy IV," She whispered to the merchant when he had a moment to spare.
At the sound of the bell quietly ringing, The merchant sighed. He was just about to pack up shop for the month too. He glanced up, about to shoo the person away before he stopped short, his eyes widened warily. They were shrouded in an aura of danger, dressed in short black coat made of what seemed to be raven feather, and a hood drawn over their face, mostly bare legs with swirling markings dancing up their lengths and a lack of shoes. The merchant knew it was best to keep his mouth shut. Watching her as she prowled over to the counter, her was about to ask her what she needed when she held up a note, a curve of a smile visible on her lips, the only thing he could really see clearly. Waving it almost mockingly, she then placed it on the table and slid it over to him, and after picking it up and reading it, he gave her a wary nod. The action received him a large bag of coin, and he didn't want to think where the money might have come from.
The list was very simple, it held no message, but merely a neat table filled with what he presumed was skills she wanted.
