Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

This was probably the first time Edelweiss entered the Skills Merchant shop to find it... empty. Of customers, that is. Did she arrive too early? Thankfully, the merchant was already up to attend at the counter, so she figured this was a good thing; not having to wait in a row for her turn was going to spare some precious time. "Good morning," She greeted simply. "I'd like to purchase Thrown Weapons IV; Sword Fight III; Toxins IV; Telekinesis II; and Aeromancy I, II and III please."

Walking into the skills merchant, Lasair approached the counter with a flat face. "Gating II and III please." He set the money on the counter, picked out an appointment from the book, and then turned to leave. 51 - 16 - 24 = 11 EMP remaining.
Door. Open. Strange. Never been. But instructed. Wobbled forward. In shoes. Sava said, wear shoes. Strange. Towered over counter. Placed purse, plus note. Pressed note forward. “Want fish.”
On the note, in fine cursive, were the words: The girl doesn’t make sense. And don’t try to make her. Just give her: Necromancy II (16) Necromancy III (24) Health I (8) Total: 16+24+8= 48 55-48=7
The door to the shop opened with a slight ring of the bell— quite tacky in taste since the door must have been clearly visible from the countertop, but, no matter. Sauntering toward the merchant, Sayvahn flourished his hand, dropping the disposable coin purse with a smirk. “Hello, dearie. Mind teaching an old cat some new tricks?” Sayvahn purred, handing the other a list. On it, it read in fine cursive:
Hush Hush tricks:
Pyromancy II (16) Health I (8) Telekinesis I (8) Telekinesis II (16) Gating I (8) Gating II (16)
Vieka walked in, face covered by an oversized hood rather than her typical mask and dropped a note and a small purse of EPM, as per her typical nature.
Gating
II
16 EPM
Sword Fighting
V
40 EPM
Total: 56 EPM
0 EPM left.

Eryn walked into the shop with a small bag of EMP and placed on the counter ."hello again , could you please show a new skill as well as improve one for me please?" Eryn ask

She was exhausted. She was always exhausted these days. She walked in the door, it chimed, she walked to the counter and dropped her elbows on the surface.
"Health V. Gating I." she said, wasting no time she pushed the coin toward the merchant. He opened his book and offered her a date to train. With all that settled, she marched back out.
---- Health V - 40EMP Gating I - 8 EMP TOTAL: 48 EMP Amount left: 0 EMP
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Basil wandered into the shop. He had never been before, but he thought it important that, if he were to continue as an assassin, (and he figured that that would probably be the best choice as he assumed that any other would mean his demise,) he would need more than just the weak magic he had now. "I'll learn uh... Necromancy II!," He said, placing the money on the counter. "Just tell me when to come for the lesson, yeah?" He grinned, as he began his way out. "Thanks Mr. Merchant guy!" And with that he left.

Edelweiss ended up coming across some unexpected extra EMP by the end of the day, and figured it was as good as any a time to purchase something else at the Merchant's place again. Just one skill this time:
"Health V, please and thank you. Schedule me for as soon as possible."
46 - 40 = 6 6 EMP remaining

A hooded figure tentatively made its way into the store. It had waited until there was nobody around, and that it came as close to closing time as possible. Once it was sure that no one would be around, it made its move. The figure slowly shuffled to the counter-top, putting down a hefty bag of money and passing a note to the skills merchant.
"Ha ha...what's with today and people passing me notes?" the skills merchant laughed as he read the note.
It read:
Requesting Medical II, III, IV, and V for my female Doll and a review over Augment I for myself. I will meet with you at your most deserted hour. - A.
The skills merchant looked at the figure with an inquisitive look. The figure merely stood still, only moving a bandaged finger to its mouth as if to say "keep it a secret."
With a nod, the skills merchant checked the contents of the bag to verify the right amount before turning back to the figure. "It can be arranged," he said.
The figure made a small bow, and without making another sound, exited the store, making sure that no one would see or follow it.
