Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Caitlin was ready to burst with exasperation at the end of all the shouting. Without looking at Ikuze to acknowledge her questions or her concerns, she approached the bars and wrapped her fingers slowly around them as she leaned her face in very closely to look directly into Axis eyes. With a flat, quietly commanding tone... the sort that Generals, kings, and occasionally parents will use to let you know you are standing on thin ice and an inch away from death; she stared directly at Axis, making eye contact without blinking and spoke with tightly reigned words.
"You WILL calm yourself, and you WILL answer the rest of ours questions without making any fuss. Or you WILL be thrown off this ship, 8,000 feet down into the sea. Am I understood?" She laced the command word with her Hypnosis power for a more gratifying result.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
ok so this next bit was dice rolled for and , so here a twist that ya may like Suddenly as Catlin started to use hypnosis, something happened on each of her Empathized words "Will" knocked Axis back with some kind of magic force , as each one got stronger until the last on sent Axis flying back onto the ground , she managed to sit up shaking as they learned something new about Ca a'lla's people , that as magic as they are, Magic heavy effected them Back to the point that a simple spell had the same force as a slap to them.
shacking it seemed that the hypnosis also had effect as instead of anger she was shaking with fear that was now uncovered, she didn't understand what had happened then "w w what .....h..h..how.... that....that...w...w..was magic....!....!..h...h..how!?" she said as she tried to sake off the spell , she cant stay like this or else to herself she would be useless to anyone who needed her.
i hope this is cool , just to give back some greater power over Axis for now
Ikuze blinked at the effect that Caitlin's magic was having on Axis. "Whoa... what the hell?" she asked before considering her own plans for when they arrived and the situation called for her to use her own Hypnosis to distract the enemy before her eyes widened. "Wait... magic, does that to you? Seriously? Does it work like that with the Bandits as well? ...Baroness, I think we may have a nice advantage here if just basic stuff does this." said the thief with a gesture to the fallen girl. She then giggled a little. "I could literally knock them off their feet." giggled the blue haired thief as she lovingly petted her guitar that was strapped to her back.

"That is interesting," Caitlin agreed. She looked from one girl to the other then smiled. Finally something was happening in their favor. "Alright Axis, answer Ikuze question and we'll leave and let you rest for the night. Dawn comes early and we could all use a little shut eye." She waited to see what the child would say about the rest of the Ca 'allan's before she and Ikuze would leave, shutting the heavy door behind them and securing it.
(after Rava's answer we're going to leave the brig and head back to our cabins. Ikuze will be bunking in the general quarters with Rava, Cait in the captains quarters. After Flos posts his arrival, we'll all rendezvous at "dawn" on the bridge.)
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Axis tried to fight whatever spell was cast on her but to not effect it seemed that this simple yet new magic had got the better of her as she shacked violently with fear "T T The swarm ..... its an old Demono Magic ..... a blood magic that has a needed set.... of presets... the blood of dead kin....the death of a mother or father at or before Birth ....... and the Ruins to harness that power , this powers are hard to get ............ but once gotten it makes One Man , Able.... to be come 1000000 men! , a swarm of minds and bodies... its the true way of becoming un_killable .... n now think .. someone with that power .. c could ruin and rule the world.... j just like the old b b bandit king wanted .....but he plan was ruin...as well as his chance at becoming immortal too" Axis starts to get up. "not all bandits ... are born under the ca a'lla skies..." she was starting to fight back the fear , as its hold on was slowly starting to brake. " y you think that you Can! DO any thing but YOU CANT HOLD ME!!" *as starts to shout as her rage returned even angry as ever as she started to bash on the bar, trying to braked them , trying to get out
"Well, that didn't last long. Gotta remember that for later." mused Ikuze as she considered what had been said before blinking and then groaning. "One of the presets, for this swarm thing, is that the kids parents had to be dead before or straight after it's born? And you didn't think that the whole curse thing forcing them to fight forever was a bad idea given that any one of those bandits could be the father?" asked the thief, not really expecting the girl to answer with anything coherent.
She left the brig and grumbled to herself before looking at Caitlin. "This Ca'alla place just gets weirder and weirder with every new bit of info. I don't know about you milady, but I'm starting to feel like one of those reluctant hero characters you hear about in fairy-tales."

The next morning Caitlin's mood sunk far lower than it was before. Her reinforcements weren't there yet, and her men were never late when she needed them. That meant something had gone wrong. Rather than wait around for excuses (surely her messenger would be back at some point with a message but messages didn't mean extra hands so why wait?)
Rather than count on the second ships arrival she altered their preexisting plans to meet their needs. Juniper joined her at four in the am to go over their strategies before inviting the other players up at breakfast. Once the plan was sound, she sent a few cabin boys to find and bring Rava and Ikuze (and Junipers hand picked pirate crew) to her cabin. Once everyone arrived, they would get the show on the road at last.
To say that she'd had a rough night was an understatement. The hammock that she'd been provided with was, in her opinion, truly an instrument of torture and interrogation so foul that she'd as soon as be on the rack than that infernal thing. So it was when the cabin boy came to her room and found her sleeping on the floor of the ship in the nude... he found himself with a very large lump growing from his forehead when he woke her up. "Ah'd just gone tae sleep!! Wha' the bloody 'ell do ye want?!" she roared, her eyes bloodshot with bags under them from the little sleep she'd accrued in the night. "Owww! Baroness wan-" he began before blinking as the thief girl was already on the move, getting dressed as she ran down the corridors... before she turned around and looked at the cabin boy. "Well? Where?" she asked, struggling with her shoe for the moment. "Her cabin. Follow me." he replied, leading the way.
When Ikuze arrived, she slumped herself down into the nearest chair she could find, groaning as if she'd just sprinted a full marathon around Lodan... twice. "I am never, never, ever, going on a trip again... not without a proper bed," said the thief as she stared at the ceiling, "and not that... that... torture machine!"
(ok am back , sorry about the long wait with things , uni had drained me so much i could not do anything for a while then as i recovered, ok for this am gonna set up the land of Ca a'lla as well as a map and its extra bits and rules "as part of practice for my duty as a Host of my 1st Oct ") Rava awoke from a nightmare of her running away from a huge black dragon with red eyes , she breathed heavy as she could start to feel that they where approaching the Lands of Ca a'lla , suddenly a man came into her bunk and told her to get up and meet the others on deck, she got up slowly still feeling her wound from that night before but this was not gonna stop her from doing this mission.
as she followed the man she was blinded by the sun , however the wind was cold , Rava known that Ca a'lla was in it winter sleep as she looked in its direction where the wind was coming from as she followed the man to the pirate queen.
(sorry for a short post , the next one will be bigger. )

Caitlin raised a brow at Ikuze mutterings about the hammocks that crew slept in, then she laughed quietly to herself. "I'm afraid there wouldn't be enough room for everyone to keep a proper bed on-board. You want a bed that doesn't swing from the ceiling? Advance through the ranks to first mate, or captain - on any ship but this one of course - and then you'll have a bed that rests on the deck. Otherwise, its a hammock strung above your personal trunk of belongings. Space savers and all. Have some tea."
She pushed a teapot across the table and nodded toward one of the place-settings. It may be an ungodly hour for beginning their work, but they'd be more productive with a bit of hot liquid in their bellies. Juniper was already drinking his like a dainty old lady. Caitlin worked hard not to notice how very not ruthless he looked at the table. When Rava joined them the Queen of Rogues pushed a teacup in her direction.
"Sit and drink, we leave very soon, and then you two will be on your own. Reinforcements have, unfortunately, been delayed and we cannot afford to wait on them."
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. "Captain of a boat? Eh, think I'll pass... waaaay too much work. Think I'll just take the floor instead." said the thief before taking a tentative sip of the tea after sniffing the liquid. She pulled a mild face before taking another sip. "Could get used to this." shrugged Ikuze as she slowly finished the strange drink. "So, we're going in solo... alrighty. Well, with what we learned from the angry cross-dresser down below, should be entertaining at least if we get found."
Post by Caitlin Cockfoster on May 28, 2014 3:56:55 GMT
"The goal is NOT to get found, you're job is to be sneaky, get in get out and get away with whatever is of most value that can be lifted, clearly I don't expect you to bring back some real-state but as long as its something they'll miss, then it'll be worth the effort of coming all this way." Once they finished all their drinks there was a ruckus on deck and Caitlin ushered them all from the table to the source of the noise. Up in the early morning sunrise was just shy of 100 pirates, armed to the teeth and restless in their boots. Caitlin walked them through the crowd to the double doors at the end of the deck. In the aft of the ship were a half dozen manual mini airships and in-between them on the deck were hinged bay doors that overhung the rest of the ships haul.
"Juniper will be escorting you to the ground, then he'll be bringing the life boat back up to the IRONDREAD. The airship will stay out of reach of their munitions, so you guys will be given an approximate amount of time before the recovery team (lead by Juniper again) comes back to pick you up. Don't be more than an hour in there." She turned to face the two girls and spoke very seriously. "Ikuze its up to you to make sure everything stays on schedule. I don't owe anything to Rava yet, but I'm honor-bound to come back and get you myself if you dont come back. I won't be a very happy mistress if that's the case." With that said, she gave them both a long hard look before passing them off to Juniper.
"No time to waste, I suggest you three get grounded now. I'll cut the rest loose to wreak havoc and distract the Ca'allan's soon enough. Good luck!"

(that schedule maybe broken by Rava a bit , Ca'alla has got a lot of things in store for them) as the ship starts to head its towards the Islands of Ca'alla suddenly the air gets colder as it starts to snow as they got close , the crew on board the ship also started to feel something else in the air. pure but very weak magic as the islands themselves came into full view something was wrong , the Islands where smoking , each city and some of the forests where on fire , from above it was remains of Green Bandits attack on the islands.
however one island was untouched as fleets of gallons waving the green stag beetle flag where leaving it ,heading north using the south winds to push them north faster. In the very far front was a flag ship, larger then all the other ship and heavy armored and armed to the teeth with cannons all around, nothing that was ever seen before. on the ship a man wearing a mask that made him look like a horned beetle stood there as he watched as the the ship where leaving , a young Bandit came up to him "shaman why are we leaving , this is our home , the codex is still in the fortress!" he said showing concern , the man in the mask spoke in a deep voice " what bothers you? we got nothing to worry , we are only moving ahead to move the New king , as you seen the Ca'allans did not like the fact that the new king had been born and look what happened. " gesturing to the islands " as good as our 1st main home is this is no longer safe for our new king to grow in , that's why i ordered the Bandits leaders to follow us to the Grand fort in the north , hidden but safe as we start to rebuild our own kingdom, dont worry about the codex, the Inventor needs his time to finish his repairs on the arms of the swarm, Grander and his men will then return to us the the codex and the Arms for the king , leaving the vault keeper as normal, there is no need to worry young one" the young bandit bows and then leaves as the masked man turns and feels something in the air " well looks like she does not know when she is not wanted home.....very well let see if she can earn her freedom" the man turn to the helm " all ships full speed , lets us leave here and onwards to our new age of Bandits " he shouts as the ships open to full sails as they start to speed away carrying the most important cargo away.
back on the ship Rava who was looking from the side the hole time at the islands , even when going down , she felt the guilt that now wash over as Ca'alla now burned and where filled with bandits , what Axis said before now made scene of it being her fault. if she didnt have her son this would not be happening , how the bandits had changed was out of honor she once know , this was not the ones she used to work with , the ones she remembers had there own code of how much they would do, she may have blood on her hands for killing 1000s but this was worse then that , Ca'alla was her home for so meany years and the fact that her farther and grandpas before her had held up a oath never to harm Ca'alla as it would be ruining the memory of her great great great great grandpa. this was too much but she had to do this mission one way or the other. death will be coming for her today. if not the pirates, or the bandits it would be the Ca'allans.
with much as could she could only nod , she had earned nothing from the pirate yet , not even a rescue , so if would be safe to say if all things turned south that the blue haired pirate would be safe and saved , making her perfect to get what they steal off the island. and that way at lest this was a guaranteed way to complete her mission if death would come to her today. feeling her stitching in her belly that only held the meal from last night and her wound that was tended to by these pirate as well as the clothing she had on now, this was her only things she needed, with her trusty dagger she was ready to possibly face death.
she mutter to herself in her own words and language "¿por qué hacen esto? ..... esto no es correcto....la muerte no estaba destinado a ser aquí " words that would remain with here for the day to come.
"Wasn't planning on getting found Baroness... just saying. This job's giving me all sorts of weird feelings..." admitted the thief before following them on to the deck. "Sooner we're done, sooner stuff can make sense again." She gave a mock salute to Caitlin before looking at Juniper and Rava. Ikuze regarded her guitar for a moment before nodding to herself. "In and out. So then, let's shake it all about." quipped the azure headed girl with a smirk before making a mock gasp at Caitlin's words. "Didn't think we were in that kinda relationship Baroness... Although that would explain the torturous night." mused Ikuze before she bounded behind Juniper, and more importantly out of Caitlin's reach.
She made for one of the mini-airships along with Juniper, waited for Rava to get in, and then let the big man handle the controls and getting them down to the ground. "Alright, so we're nabbing this dagger pair, and if we can get him, your kid as well Rava? Just wanted to clear up what we're after before we touch ground. Once we do, we move."

Caitlin left the haul as they descended and she headed back to the motley crew waiting on deck. She went silently to the stock and pulled out a handful of weaponry - the non-mechanical sort - and strapped it on. It had been a while since her last full fledged battle, since the war at least, and she could feel the blood zinging in her veins. There was a real fear that came with rushing head long into a battle, it was stronger than the trepidation of a fight. It was more random, more risky, more at the mercy of fate. She checked mer main blade that was attached at her hip since they left home. The blade sang as it was pulled from the sheath. It was sharp enough to sever a limb with the right application of strength. Years ago she would have shuddered at the thought. Now she merely frowned. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but chances were slim based on the descriptions she'd gathered from Rava and her nemesis in the brig... which reminded her... she had to unload that particular piece of cargo before they turned back for home... and she had to do it a fair distance away from Rava's tribe or she'd be feeding the welp to the sharks. That wouldn't be very humane of her.
On a heavy sigh she gave a hand gesture to her men and women, holding up all ten fingers and asking them to wait that many minutes. Then she trekked back into the bowels of the ship to retrieve their little stowaway.
Just. Safe. --Caitlin
