Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to Lasair, Edel, and Anyone at one of the MI Lessons
The city was different. Of course it would be during a war. Which was, coincidentally, why Danny was back. She wanted nothing to do with the politics and machinations of the city and its guilds, but home was home and she couldn't just leave well enough alone. So she was back a lot sooner than expected, but her memory didn't seem the least bit affected. Danny still drifted through the woods with the familiarity of a lover's touch.
She neared her old haunt, the headquarters of M.I. 'Wonder how they're doing...' she thought to herself before turning away and wandering back into the woods. Maybe she'd watch the recruitment location, unless that had changed.

They seemed to be having fun, as usual, though that prior encounter with a shadow beast in one of the previous magic lessons had yet to be forgotten (and hopefully wouldn't be) and Edelweiss had been a lot more careful since then about keeping the children and teens within the cleared space used for the lessons strictly speaking. No one should be at the clearing's borders anymore, and definitely not stray out of sight. Even if it's during day hours.
So the soft sound of steps approaching was detached enough from the rest of the forest sounds and easy for the redhead leader to notice. Did Lasair and Tyrell arrive finally? It seemed like her group had came quite earlier than them this time, even though they weren't late.

Children laughing in the forest? That was either a really good sign, or it was bait. Either way, Danny made her way towards the sound. Who'd be out in the forest? It wasn't MI... they knew what lived out here. EIRAL and BoR didn't do much with the woods either, and both MIngo's and Caecausal were solidly city based. So who...?
Danny wandered into a clearining containing a gaggle of giggling girls and boys. And one slightly taller red head that looked far too familiar for comfort. Ooops... that's what they were doing out here.
Danny tittered nervously and raised one of her hands. "Hi there Gingersnap. What brings you to this neck of the woods?"

Gingersnap. Ok, this one was new. She'd heard ginger stick, ginger bun, and even gingerbread before but gingersnap... Edelweiss turned around to look at who had spoken, as it obviously was neither Lasair nor Tyrell nor any of the kids, and would have been slightly annoyed at that greeting if it wasn't for the face she found being what it was.
"...Danny?" But Danny should be-- She thought--- She was already--- She wasn't? No, she wasn't. Danny standing there with a raised hand (and not being all pale and rotting like the undead ought to do) proved she was very alive. And when the redhead leader found herself she had already darted to the blond shorter newcomer, lifted her up in a squeezing hug and was twirling in place like a hyperactive toddler holding a favorite teddy bear. "I thought you were dead! Where were you even-- No it doesn'tmatter.Howhaveyoubeen?~"

Uh-oh. She'd made her mistakes. Danny tried to backpedal as she saw her life flashing before her eyes. Wow... kinda short. Too late. No escape! Danny was plucked up bodily and spun around and around. How the hell was she so strong? Danny wheezed out with the little air she could get. "No. No. Not dead yet." She let out a puff of air and gasped in some more as she was being spun. "I was... oof... out. Aw-ack!" Danny kicked her feet a little as she struggled to get a smidge more comfortable with her position as bear. "I've been good. You?"

After the disaster that had been the first training session Tyrell attended, he made sure to be extra cautious with the surroundings of the forest before making his rounds toward the meeting place where Edel, the children, and hopefully Lasair would greet him. However, as the deaf ander drew closer, a spot of brown caught his attention. Thick raven brows gathered over the bridge of his nose before suddenly relaxing. In the moment he recognized the figure his heart stopped in excitement. Landing less than ceremoniously, Tyrell intruded on the reunion of Edel and Danny, moving to scoop both women up in a giant bear hug. "Danny!"

Tyrell arrived, and soon he was hugging her while she, in turn, hugged Danny. Which by default meant they both were hugging Danny, but made both girls share the role of human teddybears. It was considerably hard to breathe now. Tyrell is sure like a living corset. But maybe the redhead is just tasting some of her own medicine now.
"I've been as -oof- always--- kind of tight here..." She stated with a chuckle. Hello Tyrell. Yes do join her in squishing the squishable Danny.

No. No no no no no! The already ensnared Danny struggled to try and escape. Dodge. Something. But no... it was too late. She felt her ribs being crushed as she kicked her legs and squirmed her arms feebly. Being the center of the hug, Danny was already seeing spots.
"Good to -huff- see you -puff- Ty." Danny still had the sense to try and crane her head around so the giant could read her lips. Great... she was back but before she could do anything she was going to be murdered in a bear hug.

A hug threesome was not what Lasair expected to see when he arrived at the forest clearing, slightly delayed because he wanted to make one more check of the area for shadow beasts. It took him a moment to figure out who was at the center of all the hugging, and it left him mildly speechless. Only mildly though. He walked up to the group and set a hand on Tyrell’s shoulder, motioning for him to let the others go.
“Welcome back, Danny,” was all he said to the previous guild leader. A slight smile came to his face, but only for a moment before it turned back into a flat line. His eyes didn’t linger on the masculine female though, as they turned to look up and survey all the children present. The group seemed smaller than last time.

The touch to his shoulder had Tyrell looking to Lasair but only briefly before his attention returned back to Danny's face. Although he understood what Lasair had wanted him to do, there had been hesitance in his movements. At first his hold on both Edel and Danny only loosened before he finally put the ginger haired woman down. "Danny, where did you go? I was very worried something happened to you and, and, and I don't know." The words came stumbling over one another but had been softly from the giant ander, and his brows contorted as they drew together, the corner of his lips tugging down in a small grimace. Tyrell vanished frequently. That was something he did--but not Danny. But she was here now and that was what mattered.

Tyrell's question was a good one. If Danny wasn't dead, and wasn't injured, then where was she all this time? Asking the same thing a second time wouldn't clear any doubts though, so while waiting for a response (and letting go of Danny as well) Edelweiss turned her attention to Lasair.
"Hi Las. I hope you don't mind the reduced audience today..." Though the face he was pulling probably indicated that he did. "The infirmaries at my guild are a tad too busy lately, so the ones who had a foot in the Health branch are helping there today."
