Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

He nodded, happy that she came with and turned to follow after Vieka. He didn’t bother to pick up the pace, Vie could probably use the space.
Once at the edge of the forest, the masked lady waited for them, and with her back in the group now, Lasair led the way. He knew the path without thinking, as if the forest bent around him and brought him to the building no matter which way he went. It felt like a short walk for him, and they arrived at the building in no time. He kept silent during the walk, and hoped the others did too. If not, he would turn and tell them to hold off on the chatting.
At the building, he walked up and hefted the door open, waiting for them to walk in.
Ratna stepped in to the building , she was worried since it felt that was not that easy last time she ended up to the HQ , last time she remembered nearly walking into the woods but if it was not for Lasair she could have been lost. how did that happen she wondered in her head.
Vieka had spent the walk in her own silence, walking beside Lassair rather than trailing behind him as she mulled over her thoughts. She paid close attention to where they were going in her own right, eyes scanning the surrounding area and the local fauna and flora and marking it in her head. Lead by someone who actually knew where he was going, the path was surprising more direct than the several days it took her to find it on her own. Saying that, he'd probably been travelling to the place regularly and knew the quickest rout there now. It would still take her several travels to be able to memorise how to get here easily, but this route was certainly the one to remember if coming from the city.
Striding past Lassair and nodding her head in gratitude, she waited by the wall of masks for him to meet up before continuing on their way. She had a sneaking suspicion that whatever all this nonsense was about, it probably involved her as well, though Vieka wasn't particularly sure why. Probably something she did in the past no doubt, but she rarely remember things if they hold no interest to her for long.

Once the two had gone inside, he pulled the door closed and continued leading them forward. He walked towards the library, but then turned and walked into a grand meeting room. There was a stage at the front and rows of tables and chairs all facing it. The door entered them next to the stage.
In the room sat all the current MI members, all chatting amongst themselves quietly. They quickly grew quiet as Lasair entered. He motioned for Vieka and Ratna to step on stage with him and whether they did or didn’t, he turned to address the crowd gathered. “Thank you all for coming. There are some things that need to be addressed, things that you all need to witness.”
Pointing at Ratna, he continued. “This member of Magicae Incolentium has broken some rules, not just one. She abused the sacred art of magic by using it on a fellow guild mate, on myself. And she used the magic foolishly, casting it in public while in a room full of humans. If it weren’t for the actions of Vieka, out newest member, Ratna could have gotten her and I in a lot of trouble. And while Vieka’s actions were harsh, it was not her intent to scar the girl.” He wouldn’t make her apologize, merely announce that the action had occurred.
He turned to Ratna now. “Do you deny casting the magic?”
"W WAIT WHAT?" Ratia said as thing changed suddenly , from a promised quiet chat to a court of people judging her "WAIT YOU WHERE KILLING YOURSELF ON HUMAN ALCOHOL AND NOT LISTENING , I HAD TO DO SOMETHING YOU WHERE NOT LISTENING AT ALL, SAYING YOU DONT HAVE ANYONE. " she said as she defended herself as her tears started to come out as her worries came , now she know she was in trouble
Despite him gesturing for her to go up on the stage, Vieka instead lingered by the stairs leading up to it, a frown of clear distaste scrawled across her face. Lassair had said nothing about a guild meeting and she sure as hell had no idea that his errand would lead to this. To say she was not amused was putting it lightly. All the same, it finally occurred to her what this was all about.
It was the yelling about drink that finally tipped her off, and it came with slow realisation that that was probably the girl she disarmed- no, it was that girl, Lassair just confirmed it. Folding her arms, she watched the display with a sense of detachment and morbid curiosity. She didn't appreciate being put in the lime light, especially with no warning, but she couldn't help but feel like something interesting was about to happen. She really needed to correct him on the whole 'new member' thing though.

Lasair remained quiet as the girl yelled, allowing her to shout all she wanted. It seemed that Vie would rather remain off stage, that was alright, so long as the gathered members could see her. He spoke to both Ratna and the guild members when he answered. “I was drunk. I wasn’t dying. Just drinking more than I should. That isn’t an excuse to use magic on me. And to use it in public too. That wasn’t right.”
He looked at her, waiting for her answer. She needed to know that what she did was wrong. The punishment would mean nothing if she didn’t know what her actions meant.
Ratna look like she could brake again as she tried to fight her way out of the sinking sand she was in " NO BUT THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE EXCUSE TO DRINK YOUSELF TO DEATH, YOU COULD HAVE KILLS YOUSELF IN YOUR STATE YOU WHERE IN OR BEEN KILLED BY OTHERS OR THE LAW IF THEY FOUND YOU IN YOUR STATE, YOU DONT LISTEN TO REASON AND YOUR WHERE NOT THE LASAIR I...I... THAT I SAW AS AN EQUAL" she stop shouting as let it echo as she spoke softly "a great man like you should not destroy himself... not like that .... all i did was try ... and tried i did ...... and here we are .....this is the price of trying to care for someone you like .....then do what you want to do ........... i used magic ......... all just to try and save you ..... as the drink of man.... can kill a man ...... something i did not want to happen to you...." as Ratna tears fell she covered her face with her hat , waiting for judgement

Calling a very strong type of magic to his body, he readied a spell before continuing. “There was a better way to do that than using magic,” he said simply. “And now you will be made into an example. Those who break the rules repeatedly as she has, will be met with a similar fate.”
He directed his eyes at Ratna and sent the magic at her. Toxins, the highest rank, delivered visually and with an Augment implemented to quicken the effect. In less than a minute, Ratna’s organs would begin shutting down. She would probably fall over in pain, vomit, and overall feel like she was dying. Lasair kept his eyes on her, but all the other members would probably look away. This wasn’t a nice scene, but they needed to know. They needed to see.
This isn’t a secret clubhouse where they could come to play. This was an organization, a business. And breaking the rules wouldn’t be a small slap on the wrist. It would be something far, far worse.
it was like the worst felling as suddenly she felt herself fall , catching herself , she started to release black from her mouth and eyes , she felt her heart speed up as if it was out of control and her head , she could feel herself , leaving .... leaving.. "L...L...LAS...AIR.....Y....YOu..................b....as........" as a minute passed as she continue to vomit and shake in pain , as she fought to keep live.

He saw the pain on her face and knew the message was delivered. Jumping over to her, he readied the other side of Toxin magic, the kind that could heal. Casting Rank IV now by touching her shoulder, he again applied the Augment to undo the pain he cause just as quickly as it happened.
Ratna should feel the pain disappear instantly, only the memory of it remaining now as her body healed itself. His face was stone as the event transpired.
as he touched her the pain went away , but Ratna continued to Vomit blood and all what she had in her belly , what ever happened she still didn't feel good , the other way she felt even worse, as her body throbed from the memory of the pain , and her mind really didnt like Lasair now , she tried to speak but could not , drained of stamina from what happened.
Vieka never had a chance to react to what happened to Ratna. As soon as Lassair had started channelling his magic she all but keeled over, her hand darting out to grip the podium for support while nausea and dizziness hit her like a truck. What the hell was he thinking channelling such high magic around her?! It was like nothing she'd ever felt, nothing she'd ever tasted. It feathered across her skin and danced upon her tongue in it's potency, tempting and purring twisted words to her that only she could hear.
To save face, she moved away from the stand in favour of a dark corner, but by the time Lassair had actually cast his spells the brunette was more than aware of how she needed to get out of there. Gods, she came here to get better, not get worse! And yet here she was, getting drunk off the thick taste of magic, suddenly all to aware that she was in a room filled to the brim with anders and high ranking spells going off almost in tandem. Her back hurt- It itched and burned between her shoulder blades like spews of molten magma were trying to burst it's way out of her body with her wings- and her mouth felt so dry- so awfully dry. Magic, magic would quench this unshakable thirst...
Cringing, Vieka straightened and with the last of her crumbling will, bid herself to slink out of the annoucment hall with as much dignity and self control that she could muster. She needed a place to calm down- to think straight. Then she needed to talk to Lassair, and tell him the whole reason of why she had come to MI.

Lasair noticed Vie exit the room out of the corner of his eye, but didn’t pay her any mind. She probably didn’t like the display, or had her own reasons. Either way, he had to finish the announcements. Gesturing to Ratna, who was crumpled on the floor, he spoke out loudly and clearing to the group gathered.
“This may look bad, but the Royal Army of Lodan would do much worse if they captured any one of you. They would beat you for information on us, our guild. They would torture you to the brink of death, hurt you in ways unimaginable. It wouldn’t be a few seconds of intense pain, but a few days, weeks even, nonstop until you told them what they wanted to know.
The rules we have are not there to irritate or pester you. They are there to protect you—not just you—they’re there to protect the whole guild. These people that sit around and beside you, they’re your brothers and sisters, comrades in a battle you all struggle with. We need to protect each other. And if you go out flaunting your magic and calling attention to yourself, you put all of Magicae Incolentium at risk.
We are Anderswelters. The city is not kind to us, but we are kind to one another. We protect our own, aiding them and teaching them while learning from one another. The Royal Army seeks to eradicate our species, but we won’t let that happen. We will stand together and fight back. We will survive and we will do it together.”
With the lengthy speech finished, he turned to Ratna and the filth she sat in, mentally sighing as he realized he had not one but two messes to clean up. The literal one on the floor, and the task of getting the girl back home in one piece. Maybe one of the members would offer to help, but if not, he’d get started on it now. The members would realize soon enough that they were dismissed.
things where spinning and Ratna was weak to the bone , her hearing had started ringing and her skin was crawling with pins and needles as she felt cold as the eyes where on here , as everyone was watching. she didn't like what happened , she didn't like all of this , this was not right as she picked her self up and stumped , tripping and felling as she dropped her stuff , as one person came close she would just push them away as best as her coat fell off her back and her hat was whipped away from her head by the wind as she reached the door. she had only one thing , she didn't want to be there as she tried to run as far as she could go , in to the wood , not knowing her way , she ran and stumbled and tripped and got back up , all the while her condition became worse and worse.
soon or later ..she didn't know how long she had been running she found herself lost in the endless woods of endless trees , as her body finally had to stop , she fell to her knees before all the way on her front , gasping for air Ratna started to ask her self in her own craziness and sadness "why?.......why?.....I.....I.........I...... Tried .........I...... Did.... what ...... I....felt .............Why?........" her eyes started to become heavier as her voice became whispers as her mind only repeated the last few minutes of what happened , over and over , an unforgettable pain , then running away only to end up at the end of the line, punished , at the bottom of her life. it was like a nightmare which would never stop. 1st her arm was destroyed..... now her own self was shattered to peaces like a mirror of her own soul..... because she just want to protect and save someone she cared about .... but now she felt betrayed and stabbed in the back...... as everyone else watched on........ all of them without thinking of stopping it.... was it because she was an outcast of a sort? a witch who never showed her face at their HQ and never been apart of everything they did their?...
soon her whispers become silent thoughts as her mind became tired as her mind kept repeating everything as it flashed before her eyes . at if a demon from hell was forcing her to relive every second of the event before her mind stopped with the last thoughts being "Why....... Why..... Lasair .......why............" before everything went to darkness
(comic of what happened after she passed out )
the darkness brought dreams of emptiness, a void that seem infinite with only endless emptiness around as she lay in nothingness , as a song of men sang in the deep distance of the sea echoed and the void began to swell as what to her seem to be death standing near her , looking watching before waking away...... an acted of mercy?..... or want not her time?.... as she tried to reach out before the darkness returned.
(Ratna and her madness of her mind everyone )
