Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to Ratna Campbell and Medivha . Takes place before the Battle of Castamere With Vieka officially a part of the guild now, and her recounting of the events from a certain night being confirmed as truth, Lasair decided that it was time to address a certain pointy hat wearing girl and see what she had to say for herself. See if she would pay for the crimes she committed against the guild. She hadn’t been to the HQ in quite some time, so the first step was to find her. Lasair remembered where her house was, sitting somewhere in the peasants’ hovel, and walked there briskly. Vieka was with him, a little extra fire power in case the girl decided to try and put up a fight. The past needed to be accounted for, and members of the guild needed to follow the rules.
Finding her house fairly easily, he went up to the door and knocked, standing back and waiting afterwards with a sour taste in his mouth. If she wasn’t home, he’d wait until she was. He needed to find her and that was that.

(also thread happens after skin of silk )
it had been another as Aracely was reading a book as Ratna was still recovering from the new addiction to her arm , the silk sketched skin felt soft a time and numb but it didn't hurt from touching any more however the she could feel thread that had been stitched to her arm to bind it , a feeling that she was still getting used to.
as the door went, Aracely got up "I got this dear , you stay there." she said was a smile as she moved towards the door and answered it "hello , can I help? she said before recognizing Lasair from her Girls description "oh ...its you , Ratna told me about you, a young man like you trying to kill himself in Drink, Shame on you , and the words you said broke her heart before that other person Set her arm alight " Aracely said sternly before scanning the other person , and not identifying them "so ... out with it , you came to See Ratna? since you better have a good reason to do so. since the my poor little girl had only come out of shock."
Lassair may have had his own reasons for taking the grouchy doctor along with him, but as far as she was concerned she was only here for one reason: To pick his brains about magic. She'd been drilling him all day and thankfully the male had been more than happy to fill her in, and when he turned and stated he had a matter to attend to, Vieka didn't think twice before following along too. It probably should have occurred to her that perhaps he was bored of her asking so many questions; as it was however, the thought hadn't even crossed her mind.
"I guess that explains why high level magic gets exhausted so quick, but still allows you to draw on lower levels. it Draws on the concentration of your magical aura huh? I'll have to find the books that explain that." And possibly draw some diagrams for her own books. The knowledge sounded vaguely familiar but only just, so she could only presume her mother probably covered it at some point during her young age. "If higher level magic has such a higher concentration, that would also explain why it affects me more...." She mused quietly, stuffing her hands back into her pockets and looking upwards.
It only just occurred to her where they had come to. The hovel again?? She'd seen more than enough of this dratted place to last her a life time, but she supposed the blame fell to her for insisting on continuing her questions. It seemed to be a slightly nicer area, or at least, an area not ravaged by EIRaL or mortar or her own fire. All the same, it still reeked like a dung heap and made the winged ander immediately want to take to the roof tops. When he knocked on a door, Vieka finally stopped bombarding the poor sod with questions. She didn't exactly wait patiently though, folding her arms and rocking on her heels slightly. Hopefully whatever business her red haired companion had would be concluded quickly.
When an Older woman answered the door then proceeded to start spewing words, the winged ander could only sigh to herself. It was one of those types of people, which meant the likelihood of this being a short encounter was slim to none. And what's this about Lassair drinking himself to death? The man could put it away when he was in a bad mood but that tended to be rare and in-between if past experiences where anything to say about. It was about this point in time where Vieka just outright zoned out and stopped listening to the elder, instead compiling her next list of questions in her head.

“I’ll find you the book; it was just added to the library rather recently actually. Remind me when we have another free moment together,” he said to Vieka as the door to the place opened. Her fascination in magic was so refreshing for the MI leader; he had felt like he was the only one interested in the subject for quite some time. But now he had someone to talk to about it! Share thoughts and theories, as well as share the excitement of learning something new. It was great.
But he couldn’t dwell on that now, he had business to attend to. Turning to the open door, he remembered Ratna mentioning something about her mother returning, and he assumed this was she. “Hello miss,” he said in a polite tone. “Yes I’m here to see Ratna. Actually, I’d like her to come with me. Could you ask her to come speak with me, please?” He stood with his hands behind his back, waiting patiently for her answer.

Aracely raised an eye brow while holding a stern look , she felt something was wrong. "OK.. but we are gonna do this by my rules, as I don't trust you after your outburst and Her arm being burned But you are still liked by Ratna so i do ask if you want to talk , I ask you to stay on the Manner ground. I maybe old But I was the old Witch of Lodan and I know what MI can do , so do we have an understanding?" Aracely asked as she wanted to protect her little girl.
"I'm sorry, mother or whoever you are to this 'Ratna' or what's her name, I'm reasonably sure you know what she gets up to and what she's apart of. Regardless, you should let this girl make her own decisions, and face her own consequences. You are in no right nor position to be giving out orders." Vieka narrowed her eyes behind her mask, distaste at the woman's audacity dripping from her every word. 'Witch' held a familiar ring to it that immediately irritated the doctor, but more than anything, she should know better than to give orders to a guild leader. She did not consider Lassair necessarily her leader, but she respected his position if nothing else, something this woman clearly did not.
"You have been requested to get your daughter. Do it or don't, I don't particularly care. What you won't do is throw around demands in a situation that in reality has nothing to do with you." Her piece said, Vieka stuffed her hands into her pockets and looked away, practically giving off a distinct aura of 'There goes my good mood'.

He opened his mouth to reply to her mother, only to have Vie jump in for him. Well, that was helpful, she was more direct than he was, especially when he wanted to be polite. Despite her saying everything that needed to be said, he still felt the need to at least speak up and agree with her.
“She’s correct. We’re not here to take orders from you. We’re here to get Ratna. So please bring her or else we’ll go find her.”

Aracely not didnt like this at all now "alright alright but if you do anything to her , I will find you " she said with eyes that could carry a threat before she went in.
inside Aracely started to tell Ratna about the new guess in whispers as she got up and got dressed into her normal attire except her right glove where her silken arm , making sure she had all the things she would need at lest if she got in trouble , the one thing she left was her own Grime, her book of knowledge , her one valuable thing. ready to face the music she step out " am Here Lasair what do yo.... " suddenly her eyes locked onto the woman "YOU!" she shouted as she step back Pointing her silken finger at her as she gritter her teeth. did lasair lead the one person she really hated to her own home. this had become more and more bad for Ratna.
She'd been staring up at the sky distractedly when the new arrival came, continuing her mental pile of questions to bombard Lassair with later. Ratna's screaming however, quickly startled her out of said mindless daze. She took a moment to scan over her appearance, from her outfit to her hair to her eyes, and the strange arm which was giving off a feint shimmer in the sunlight. ".... Do i know you?" She asked bluntly, raising a brow beneath her mask. Nothing about this girl seemed familiar to her, yet the screeching and the pointing would indicated that apparently, she certainly knew the doctor. Oh geez, she wasn't one of those people she kicked out of her clinic was she? Or maybe Vie gave her a rude comment when asked for directions or something of a similar ilk...?

Ah, so Ratna remembered Vieka. That was good. It wasn’t as good that Vieka didn’t return the memory, however. He took a step forward to stand in between the two of them, so that Ratna couldn’t get to Vie.
“Ahem. Ratna, I’m glad to see you’re doing well. I know you have things to say, but please wait a bit longer. I’d like you to come with us to the HQ. We can take care of everything there.” One thing at a time. First he needed to find Ratna, now he needed her to come to the HQ. Then things could progress forward.
Ratna was suddenly confused "W WAIT , what in all names is going on ," the poor witch was more confused , the person who was the harmer was sanding right there and yet she had no memory of burning and fire and words , yet Ratna remembered it all too well.
'Good question' the brunette couldn't help but think as she cringed from the volume of the other. "We are standing right in front of you- stop yelling!" Vieka snapped, frowning. Why on earth Lassair would allow someone so annoying into his guild was beyond her- saying that, he did say he only recently took over. Perhaps he wasn't the one to let her in at all. Sighing irritably, she turned and began walking towards the manor gates, back in favour of the forest towards headquarters. She wasn't 100% on the direction to get there regularly yet, but she certainly could get to the forest on her own. "Catch up with me once you've talked some volume control into your little protégée." The doctor huffed, not intending on waiting just so she could be screamed at.

Vieka walked away, that was good. But Ratna was yelling. That was bad. He sighed, knowing that this was only the beginning. “Ratna, I’ll explain everything at the HQ. We’re going to talk about what happened that night. I’ll take care of it, but you need to come with us. This is your chance to address her, she's not going to run away.” He hoped she would come with quietly. Vieka was right there, walking towards the forest. Ratna only needed to follow, to come with, and she could talk to the one who burned her arm.
Ratna sighed and had to follow , only looking back at her mum who watched carefully from the window worried for her little girl.
Ratna now was more confused . what had happened with everything , for her heading to the HQ , the one place she didnt want to go back as she had already read every book in the place , reason why she was a bit crazy. but surely she didnt want to go but she had to.
She was already quite a ways ahead with no signs of stopping, however she was still within sight. The two could easily catch up if they picked up the pace.
