Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Wern was taken aback by Viktor’s offer. He had not expected the other to be so willing to help, especially since the endeavor itself was going to be an issue. Perhaps that was the point. “Oh, um. Yes. I would greatly appreciate it. If I get the place of course.” He looked toward Amon, who shrugged. “If that's what you want, then you can have it.” Wern stiffened. As Amon took out keys and filled out forms Wern’s mouth dried, his heart, pressing against his stomach. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he tried to calm his nerves, but even though the other had already agreed, Wern did not believe, was afraid to believe it, until the other handed him the key. “Thank you.” The man took the object, rolling it in has hands, the metal, smooth under the roughness of course fingertips. “Um, I won’t let you down.” Clasping the key tightly, he tucked it into his pocket, the reality of the situation numbing him ever so slightly. “I’ll get straight to work then.” Glancing at Viktor, he smiled at the man. “Well, now that I do have the place- I would love the help, but if you are too busy I don’t want to inconvenience you.”

Viktor waited as the transaction between Amon and Wern were completed and then he offered the other a nod and a grin. "I don't mind helpin' at all, mate. What are guildies and friends for? Besides, Nikolai could use the work too. He's getting rusty."
"I assure you my metal parts are kept to utmost care, Viktor. Despite that it is your job to tend to me, I refuse to fall to neglect or else father would be disappointed," retorted the clockwork soldier. The mechanic cringed at the words. "Hey, I do take care of you."
Wern laughed at the two’s interaction. “Alright then. I look forward to your help. Besides, I think Goya will appreciate the company.” Tilting his head toward the clockwork solider, he smiled once more. “Well, I think I should start heading out now. I’m going to check out the place before I make any plans about fixing it up, but when I do have a plan, I’ll call on you then.” He thanked the group for their time and headed toward the door, where he paused for a moment to take a deep breath. Letting the sigh out, he opened the door to that city of steel and clockwork.
What is important to me is the experience of making. I leave all my work outside and often return to watch it decay.- Andy Goldsworthy
