Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

At Viktor's eyebrow-wiggly suggestion to Amon that he should have some dates with some random new girl, Edelweiss just stood behind the ginger mechanic with a soft smile on her lips and a shiver-indulcing steely look in her eyes as she silently mouthed just two words: "Absolutely. No." Don't you dare follow this stupid idea of this smiling dork, Amon, she'll be keeping an eye on you till she haas to leave for the day.
A moment later Viktor then turned to look at her and finally comfirmed being, well, himself. So having that as a distraction her expression got lighter again and went back to being that casual friendly smile she usually had on. "No, we never met, but I heard of you. Redhead mechanic in dock-styled clothes, specialized in vehicles, took my 2IC on a deadly bike ride and almost dropped him, and caused me to have a laughing fit for 5 minutes straight when I heard the knews." She counted on her fingers, having quite a large grin by the time she finished, and reached out a hand for a handshake. "I'm Edel, from the Theater District. Nice to meet you."

Heard of him? What? Oh and from Stephen! Wait, wait, wait, Edelweiss? Second in command? The nervous expression he wore faded so that his mouth fell open slowly and his brows gathered over the bridge of his nose. As he did so, a gleam in his mouth would reveal he recently had his tongue pierced. "Wait," he exclaimed and flung his arms about him then brought his hands close to his chest as he held both index fingers out. "The Edelweiss of the Theatre district? That tw-... Stephen is your second in command? Is this real? ...I guess that makes sense," he mused to himself as he nodded and shrugged his shoulders, gaze falling to the ground for a brief moment.
"Whoa, first of all, he insulted me and was very rude first... and then asked me to take that ride on my bike. I was very careful," he nodded and folded his arms over his chest. "Did not let him fall--besides, don't think he could have with how tightly he was holding on. Glad you found it funny though," he grinned. "Oh, uh, do I need a license to play my violin on the streets of the Theatre District?"

Not laughing or at least chuckling when Viktor reacted with such disbelief was really, really hard for Edelweiss. It just was simply so funny, but it would probably be rude to laugh at him so she restrained her own reaction to an amused smile while she replied to his questions in order. "Yes. Yes. Yes. Glad it does." Yes she's the Edelweiss of the Theatre District, yes Stephen is her second-in-command, yes this was real, and she's glad it makes sense for him.
"I imagined that much, don't worry." She responded making a calming gesture with her hand when he stated that Stephen had insulted him first. And also if Stephen had truly fallen down he would have broken something... both in himself and on Viktor. "Stephen is like a territorial fluffy cat. He's wary of strangers and grumpy 24/7, but warms up to people eventually. And no, you don't need a license to play on the street."

One of Viktor's hands went to rest on his hips while he puffed out his chest and cocked his head to the side. "Well," he began, ego more inflated than a hot air balloon. "If I do say so myself, I think Stephen has already warmed up to me." Though the red head did have to deflate, his shoulders slumping a little as he laugh at the description. "Grumpy Cat, huh? I can see that--you know this one time I saw this cat and it looked kind of like him... angry eyes and everything. Wait, wait, why would he tell you 'bout me?" That was the real question racing through his mind. Why would the eye patched noble do such a thing?

"If it was a grey cat wearing a little bell on a string, it might have been my actual cat. She likes to wander around sometimes, and looks suspiciously alike to him." Edelweiss shrugged. "To be fair, I heard of you a couple times from different people before Stephen talked of you. News travel fast in my District. But mainly, he had mistook you for being Mingos' 2IC rather than Gabriel; you do have this active, dauntless look most Seconds get."

Both of the ginger's brows shot up at her words. Had he heard that correctly? Unsure of what to say, he lowered his gaze for a moment and passed his tongue over the lip ring he wore, pushing it back and forth. He had been mistaken for a second in command? And the reason was due to his behavior? "Wait, who else talked to you about me?" That was something itching at the back of his head. Maybe he was paranoid? Just a little. "And, I am flattered that I was confused for such," Viktor continued and laughed a touch nervously before casting a quick glance at Amon, "But... I don't think I would ever be cut out for that. Can you do me a favor, Edelweiss? Would you mind telling Stephen that I have to back up his order one more time? Being gone for a year means I have to double check everything to make sure the cycle is safe for him to ride." Talking about being second in command was an odd feeling for him. It was something he wanted more than anything but alas, dreams were just that and so mentioning the bike was his attempt at changing the subject.

Welcome to the paranoid club, Viktor, where all who enter never leave. Like in a blackhole.
"Sorry, I don't remember. Too many workers and a bit of a too busy time." She told sincerely. "But alright, I'll tell Stephen when I see him next time."

It took quite the willpower and some internal screaming to not punch Viktor in the throat...with his metal arm. That, coupled with his jealousy senses tingling from Edel somehow knowing Viktor would have caused him further discomfort from not being able to throat-punch Viktor, were it not for Andro's sudden question.
"...Uh..." Amon replied, doing a quick but subtle glance at Edel. The small pauses from the Twins didn't help either.
"...Well..." he started, rubbing the back of his head, remembering his gift to Edel. "...It depends: do you know what she likes? If not, I know it's a bit cliche, but it really is the thought that counts..."
And maybe he'll think of getting a gift somewhere else...
Andronikos stood dead pan, and shifted his weight once again. "What would you get for... For your... Friend... Who happens to be a girl... Hypothetically..."
"...That's right...my girlfriend is the leader of the Assassins..." Amon thought upon seeing Edel's icy message. Not that he would to begin with, but it was a nice reminder of what could potentially happen if he were stupid enough to break her heart. With a sigh, he made a mental note to somehow deliver a metaphorical throat-punch to Viktor for getting him in trouble.
And then Andro asked another question.
"OH FOR THE LOVE OF-" he mentally screamed. "...I would get her something that I think she would enjoy...maybe something tied to her interests..." Truth be told, he made Edel's gearbox on a whim, based on how cautious she was around the Twins and his arm...it just happened to be a perfect match.
"So what does she hypothetically like? I mean, my place won't be your best bet for anything non-mechanical...or not relating to toys or robots. So what is it? Cute things, like bears? Cool things, like the soldiers or robots? If she's a music fan, I can whip up a custom music box for you if you like..."

"Great!" Amon responded cheerfully. He took out a notepad and wrote down a few reminders. "I can have it done in the next three days. Anything else I can help you with?"

"Thanks, miss! Ah, hey, Amon, I'll talk to ya later, alright?" He hadn't even waited for an answer but waved energetically before bursting out of the toy shop doors and crossing the street toward his shop.

And then the two other customers in Amon's shop suddenly left as if shooed away by forces of a higher plane of existence. Ok. "So..." Edelweiss turned to look at Amon again, arms crossed and a face that showed clearly her indecision between laughing or pouting. "They're all gone, may we stop pretending to not know each other please?"

He waited for a few moments, writing some notes and waiting until the other two were well out of earshot...and then...
"I missed you my honeybunny!" he exclaimed rushing around the counter and wrapping her in a big hug, lifting her up a few inches off the ground.
The Twins looked up in unison.
"Awww...that's sweet," cooed Abby.
"...Honeybunny...?" asked Abe.
"Shut up," Amon replied, still smiling and hugging Edel.
