Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Prepare For Trouble, And Make it Double [CAEsAL & MI trial]
Eryn watched from next to Edelweiss as they talked , it all sounded exciting with the new people having to do one thing and by the sound of it the other groups new people doing another thing, however Lone didnt seem to be with the other group, maybe she was late , or didnt know this was not happening?, Eryn didnt know as she looked at the new people who seemed like everyone else she had met before, one had a hat and looked creepy , then there was what looked like a mime or a actor which Eryn again had a bad feeling about mimes. she then looked at the new people with the other group , 2 of them looked like twins and the last looked like he dressed well. if she had the chance she would say hallo but she had to keep close to Mama Edelweiss for tonight and hopefully if the group make it through the the hide and seek game without problem.

Triune emerged from the secret passage then briskly but quietly moved over near Edel. This was the first time he had ever been late and probably the worst time for his tardiness to happen. He wore his usual dark, hooded clothing but with a slight changes: he had abandoned his eye patch in exchange for goggles- a suggestion Edelweiss had made when talking about this trial.
Once next to Edel's side he paused to regain his breath before speaking. "I apologize for my tardiness. I had some... business to attend to," though the lighting was dark, if one looked closely at the noble they would see a light dusting of pink on his face. He prayed that Edel would not notice for she might ask questions about it and he was not sure he would be willing nor able to answer them; his reason was certainly not something for young ears to hear.

The hood did its job and the illumination was far too dim for her to notice her 2IC was blushing like a fair maiden, but that didn't mean Edelweiss would miss the undertones in his voice. And as subtle as his pink cheeks was the little mirthful glint in her eyes, delating a smile hidden by her attire. 'Business', huh? She didn't know whether to be amused or not at his given reason for being late, but she'd keep any questions she might ask for after this mission is finished. And he was 6 years too young to try keeping that kind of stuff from her.
She gave Triune a nod once he approached, then turned her attention to the other CAEsAL members present. They were still looming around, which was normal for a trial night beforre the ones trialed started to move, but they had extra company this time and it didn't seem to be making the ones from MI comfortable at all. Well then. Edelweiss raised her palms in a single clap motion, then made a quick gesture towards nowhere specific. 'Disperse'. The bulk of hooded assassins spreaded around, retaking their spots and routes through the shadows of the room, either out of sight in the very building to observe or leaving through individual paths, so the only ones remaining in front of their new allies were herself, Triune, China, Asnas and the two being trialed. "Sorry, it was getting a little cramped." She shrugged. "Us who remained will be assisting you directly. The others will just observe and help with transport." Mainly observe if the newbies would screw up or not and deal with them if they do. "Ready to start when you are."

Danny watched both the two trial assassins and her own fledglings. Arrogant lot. Impulsive, too. The assassins dispersed and Edel spoke. Very well.
Danny turned to her own little posse and spoke. "You have thirty minutes to distract the guards, get inside, and ship what we came for out. If the targets to be killed aren't dead when you get in, find a way around them. You are not, under any circumstances, to kill. We are trying to bleed the city, not its people. If you are late on the time table, consider yourselves failed."
Danny looked at Edel's two assassin recruits. "You two. Even if you aren't mine, get my people into trouble, in danger, and I don't care who's protection you have. You'll just be supplies for my work."
"I can give you that." Basil said in response to Inie with a slight chuckle, but found his gaze wandering towards the apparently-late assassin, a man with goggles. The leader of the other group spoke, and his attention was ripped away once more. With matter of fact, arrogant tones they spoke, and Basil felt a slight disdain his gut for the character. He grinned in his direction anyway. "Of course! I know that we will be very careful not to bring any harm to your fragile guild members!" Basil said, a song wavering within his sentences. With that, he turned towards the man with the goggles. "Hello sir! I have no idea who you are, but I'm sure we're glad you joined us anyway!"

Stephen watched the events unfold silently as he mentally went through all that he had to do for tonight. One of the new recruits approached him; Immediately, he felt the need to shoo the person away but his conversation with Edelweiss not to long again popped into mind. Right, he had to gain their respect and sending this recruit away would do nothing to help him. "You may call me Triune. I am the second in command of CAEsAL. I wish you luck in this upcoming trial. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Edel or myself," he nodded pleasantly at the fellow, looking chill but trying so very hard to be courteous.

Asnas rolled his eyes behind the mask and dipped his hand into the pocket of his leather jerkin to withdraw his pocket watch. Its mechanics were broken obviously because he was an ander but that did not stop him from peering at the clock where the time stood still. How munch longer did they have to dally, he wondered before lifting his gaze to look at the two assassin's on trial--he could really care less for the other group that accompanied them since he cared so little for his own as it were. Regardless, the man stayed silent. Despite the lack of his top hat, he still carried his cane and now tapped it against the floor in a rhythmic motion to occupy himself.
things where getting better as Papa Stephen came along, she wanted to hug him but this was a mission so she would have to hug him later. then Eryn noticed that everyone behind them except the new people had disappeared with a wave of Mama Edelweiss hand , Eryn through this was cool and wanted to try it herself , so she tried by raising her hand and doing the same motion Edel did. nothing happened but it still seemed fun as she went back to listen to everyone talking.

“Right. Let’s get this show on the road.” Lasair beckoned the recruits towards the door before pushing it open and gesturing to another warehouse across the way. “That’s your target. Good luck.” He stepped back then, allowing the very silent Jayce to go first, followed by the others.
Inie overheard the two speak. So that ones the second in command she thought. She wasn't one to get nervous but she'd prefer living. A series of situations played out in her head, how she'd handle them, and how they could fail. Her arms were folded closely together as she sauntered closer to the exit, over to the one with the cane. "So are you here to steal things, or kill us if we don't deliver? If you're here for the latter I only ask you avoid the face, i'd hate to be an ugly corpse."

"Eyes won't need to kill you if you fail. You'll already be dead." Edelweiss said, glancing at Abel with a sharp gaze before turning away to do her part in the events that would follow. Well, lets get this started.
It had already mentioned while they were making their way through the tunnel that this trial had a simple pass-or-fail grade to assassins, and what happened in each case. Pass, get to join the club; fail, get a not exactly nice death from the hands of the ones in charge of 'supervising'. Danny wouldn't need to waste energy of dealing with A and B if they cause trouble - CAEsAL could prune failures off of their ranks on their own, just as Edelweiss is sure MI can do for their own members as well.

The two turned and watched as the large group left the room as the leader of them waved their hand. "Wow..." They said in sync as they both turned to look at the person. Both were surprised at how such a simple wave of the hand could cause such a large group to basically vanish. The two then turned their attention to the Lasair as he spoke to the others.
"Finally." Leo said quietly to his brother as he shoved his hands in his pocket and looked over towards the door, "It's about time we get out of here."
"It hasn't even been that long..." Emelo said as he looked in front of the two of them, "Why can't you just be patent?"
"That ain't me." Leo said matter-o-factly as he noticed the group began to walk off, "Let's go then." He added as he turned to his brother.
The two stayed behind Lasair and next to one another the whole time, watching as they were lead down a hallway. The two knew what they had to do but were both incredibly interested to see how this night would turn out.

Danny sneered beneath her mask at the two new assassins. She didn't like them already. Too flippant. Too cocky. They were going to make a mistake. Get someone caught, or killed. If not now, then in the very near future. All she could hope was that the two new assassins themselves were the only casualties. Danny practically melted into the shadows of the building she was sheltering next to. A handy little talent she'd picked up hiding in the woods. Her gaze was turned on the warehouse, and she spoke aloud.
"Fox, find a different location to observe from. I want to know everything that happens." Her eyes flicked over to Edel, and her shadow. Goggles and a cowl did a decent job of hiding his features in darkness, but one of the benefits of being a cat was that the dark couldn't hide anything from her...

With hushed whispers, Basil shuffled over to Inie. "So..." He mused "What skills do you have? Anything that could directly deal their deaths? I can only summon weak skeletons, but they might do well for a distraction if you are able to do the killing of at least one of them. Maybe while the one is distracted, I can summon a weapon to get him as well? I don't know. I'm not so good at this planning thing. Haven't really been part of this assassin business before. What do you think?"
Inie didn't wait for a response from the man with a cane as her attention was pulled to the other initiate. She turned on her heel, leaning in to respond. "I like to play with knives." She said, her grin visible under her hood. "I don't really have any on me but I've already taken care of that, soooo that sounds just dandy." She stopped a moment to think before finishing. "You wouldn't happen to have a way to signal me if we get split up would you? A fancy spell of some sort, maybe a spooky ghost?"
