Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Alice looked at Viktor and the expression on her face went from solemnly agreeing with Stephen, to one of mounting discomfort the more Viktor talked. She wasn't exactly sure she felt safe around him... Alice inched further from Viktor before looking at Stephen and nodding. "Oh it is. He was really high up in the Huntsmen out in the country. He was a part of the Exarch's own squad, but requested a transfer to Lodan's EIRAL so he could come with me."
Alice nodded her head to Stephen as she spoke before replying to Viktor. "We had festivals back in Bimbury. Those were always so much fun to go to. Kalum'd go meet up with Nate and Gwen, and I'd tag along 'cause Cathy and Eric would always show up around those three. So there were the six of us at the festivals, and one time this circus act came for one of them, and the clown's absolutely terrified Eric! The boy was trying to hide behind me... that was a little while ago. I think he was maybe fourteen then? Yeah, because I turned sixteen that August, so Eric was fourteen. Really though, a fourteen year old boy hiding behind a girl's silly!" Alice nodded as she rambled on.

"Did I go too far?" He'd asked Stephen that but upon looking at Alice he could confirm that he likely did go to far. "Why was he scared by a clown, Alice? I don't get that. Lots o' folk seem to get scared by them. Aren't they supposed to be funny or somethin' or other? Was there a murderer runnin' round in the country or something that looked like a clown? Dressed like a clown? I mean, they do look sort o' creepy so I can't blame the poor kid. Funny to think about him hiding behind you though." Viktor cast a look to Stephen and smirked. "Bet Stephen's afraid o' clowns too."

"The fact that you even have to ask that proves that you already have," he replied to Viktor with a disapproving tsk. The noble turned his attention back to Alice but only half listened; she was sweet and all but he really did not care to hear her life story having just met her. Before he could say anything in response Viktor cut in to throw another jab at him. "Still better, and worse, Viktor," he quoted from Hamlet in response to Viktor's antics. Shaking his head with a sigh, he brushed some nonexistent dirt off of his shoulder, "And I will honestly admit that I have only ever been afraid of one particular clown in my life - and for good reason too." The distinct memory of Addison dressing up as a clown flickered in his head. That man was quite the terrifying fellow and the clown suit only seemed to make it worse. "As for other clowns, no I do not have any negative feelings towards them"
"Now, are we just going to stand about in this... " he waved his hand dismissively, "- establishment or are your words of showing Miss Alice around Lodan nothing more than empty promises?" With a smirk he turned to Alice and went on, " I for one am a man of my word so if you wish to leave now I have some free time to show you around. Though, If your interest truly lies in exploring just the sewer system then I must regrettably decline my involvement." The was no change he was tromping through the sewers with his good shoes and the though of these two being his only company did not seem all that appealing.

Alice looked between the two before answering Viktor first. "I don't know why he'd be scared of clowns... but he was always kind of easily spooked." Alice shrugged her shoulders before turning to look at Stephen. "Who or what was the clown you were scared of? And why were you scared of him?" Alice rested her elbows on her knees and her chin in the palm of her hands. Traveling around Lodan? That sounded nice... just one problem though.
"I can't even explore the city yet... I still have to finish taking my supplies home before I lose them. Speaking of..." Alice stood up quickly and walked over to where she'd been working on NK-5. She gathered up her tools before putting them away with the rest of her stuff over by Viktor's doorway. She turned back to the other two and went back to her seat.

Viktor rolled his eyes at Stephen then moved his mouth in an exaggerated matter and eyes crossed as if to mock the noble. "Ever thought about removing that pole out of your--"
"Viktor, there is something in the cupboard I do not recognize." There was a slight pause as Viktor's interests were piqued. "I think it is moving," continued NK-5 and the red head only shrugged before answering, "Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. It's probably moldy food from before we left town."
"...I am not well versed in all that is normal in human living conditions, but I do not believe that is normal." Viktor slapped a hand onto his face then dragged it down before sighing exasperatedly. "Oi, just leave it be for now, Nikolai. We're going places." And with that the mechanic was out of his chair and putting things away around his shop.
"So, first stop? We take Alice home to put away her tools then we go where ever it is you want--er, or really where ever Sunshine here decides," he gestured to Stephen.
