* Comical1 Caitlin: Birds were chirping. Must be just after dawn. Children laughed as they chased each other around the fountain in the square. Lodan was busy today, Merchants making their way through the streets to open shop, patrons of the arts preparing for a glorious day of splendor and sailors coming in from the docks, chipper and lively, pleased to have the day off. Saturdays, even in Lodan, were a blessing in just about every man or womans eyes.
<Yelsah> Seinna had managed to convince Mingo to leave the comforts of their home to venture out She'd had a warm but light shawl designed just for her feathered companion. It even matched hers which he'd seem happy about. So the two of them were strolling about looking like quite the pair. She stopped at the fountain while the brightly colored bird hopped up to the ledge for whatever reason. It was a nice early morning walk for the most part and she was glad for the moment of reprieve from her otherwise hectic life.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: Oh yes, the blessing of Saturdays… not. Acantha awoke slowly to the noise of children playing and promptly was tempted to bury her face under her pillow to get back to sleep. "………BLOODY frakin' thin WALLS." A second of silence. "NOT making it better, shut it", was the court answer of her neighbor. Yes, the walls were absolutely fantastic. Groaning, as going back under definitely wasn't an option anymore, she got up and decided to start the day a little earlier than normal. A quick wash later, she at least felt alive for one. Not wanting to put on her corset just yet, she dressed in a simple dress and left the house, pretending she had enough money for a simple breakfast at a nearby café.
* Comical1 Caitlin: "And YOU can jump in the River and Drown in it!!!" An angry blonde with a sharp, aristrocratic walk shouted back over her shoulder as she stormed up the cobble-stoned walked into the center of town. The appearance of a well-bred lady did not mix at all well with the sailors mouth screaming out insults and such. Hanging from her hips was a thin English Sword swinging wildly with each stomp of her boots. The man behind her just laughed at her anger, making the situation seem less serious than her anger would have viewers believe. "UMPH!" she grunted when she ran smack into another patron wearing a simpler dress.

<feliceMemoria> Acantha:: The morning air washed over her in a cold wave, effectively destroying every bit of leftover sleepiness. She pulled her white shawl closer over her body, cursing her lack of a proper mantle. If only that bastard from last Wednesday could have kept it in his pants long enough for her to store her old jacket in a safe distance. Never again, that one. Lost in her thoughts and in a particularly cranky mood, she didn't notice the blond-haired young woman until she ran straight into, if not over her. "WHAT the-" Acantha stumbled, barely keeping on her heels. Then turned around to the offending person with a downright murderous expression. "The HELL is your problem, cleaver?" Somewhere, in the back of her mind, she thought she might recognize the woman from somewhere, but seriously? Higher brain functions were only accessible after 10, period.
<Yelsah> Sienna joined Mingo on the fountian ledge looking quite relaxed. But judging from some unhappy folks not everyone was. Two women had just run into each other. And my the one was rather rude. She stayed seated though as Mingo ruffled his feathers in warning. So long as the loud mouthed woman stayed from his perch, he wouldn't be forced to poke her eyes out.
* Comical1 Caitlin: The devil??... Cait narrowed her eyes first in confusion then in heated rage. She was already angry at her first mate for the way he'd let go their latest suspect in what he thought was an innocent misunderstanding, when Cait had known better. She didn't mind so much because it was him, and she trusted his instincts, but if the rest of her crew heard the queen of rogues had let a pirate undermind her authority then things could get prickly. Her hand went reflexively for the hilt of her sword and she had it drawn out by the time the last word left the other womans lips. "I'd mind that tounge of yours, wench, unless you'd like for me to cut it out of your throat," Smelling trouble, her companion who'd been laughing before came jogging up in a hurry, ready to diffuse the situation if he had to.
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: As he strolled past the shops lining the town square, he bit of the end of a liquorice stick he'd only just purchased and glanced nervously over at the loud, angry women by the fountain.
<Yelsah> Sienna Watched in mild interest as the women bickered. Another woman walked by, dropping some coins as she passed. She waved shyly at her and then in turn waved at the young licorice eating man. Some people could deal with mornings and some couldn't it seemed. With a light chuckle she reached into a small paper bag and pulled out two mini lemon tarts One for her, the other for Mingo who happily gobbled up his favorite treat.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: A smirk tugged on her lips, oh, that one had it coming. "Not inclined, darling… but oh, thanks for the very friendly offer!", her voice turned too-sweet and biting, eyes narrowed as she took in the woman's stance. It looked stable enough, most likely hard to break. Then a man joined them, by all appearances at the very least an acquaintance of the woman, and while Acantha may be in an aggressive mood, she knew to pick her battles. "So you'd rather threaten an unarmed one, that how it is?" She tapped the metal with one of her bright red fingernails, sending a wicked look towards its owner.
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief walks into the store, pulling a small reciept out of the top of her boot and hands it to the clerk. "More liquer... and a few citrus, but boy, do they love their liquer." The clerck smiled, "As long as they keep paying me for it." Adeslief tilted her head a bit towards the sound of a woman cursing loudly. And turned to the clerk, "probably some ruffians..." and then realizes she knows one of the voices... "oh crap!"
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: Thinking he recognized the lady who waved, and one of the angry fighting women, he slowly came a little closer, keeping an eye on those lemon tarts.
<Comical1> Caitlin: Cait mentally sized her opponent up. They were pretty well matched in size; Cait was only about an inch or so shorter, and a few pounds lighter from the looks of things, but the girl was right... Cait was armed and she was not. That gave her a distinct advantage, one that she couldn't honorably cash in on... especially not in front of her fathers house. She glanced passed the other woman's shoulder while she was busy assessing Caits companion. On the other side of the courtyard was the Baron's townhome with a perfect view of the grand fountain. No... she definitely couldn't strike someone down in polite society. She sheathed her sword. "Consider yourself lucky. Lucky that I don't strike you down where you stand, unarmed and unequal to the task." Cait tilted her chin back and glared down. Usually, she wasn't this snobbish, as it only made her feel closer to her father (which she hated) but sometimes it couldn't be helped.
<Yelsah> Mingo ruffled his feathers and clacked his beak at Jak as he edged closer. Sienna ignored the bird in favor of the young man an waved again and smile. "Care for a tart? They're the best in Lodan. I'm good friends with the baker since I helped him open up his own cafe." She added holding the bag out to him. "She was fairly used to loud argumentive women for the most part. They seemed to be every where so letting them have it out seemed perfectly normal.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha's smirk became slightly impish, seems she's got a proud one there; proud, but at least with enough common sense to listen and think despite it. Maybe even from a noble family; that would explain why she had seemed faintly familiar. "Feel lucky yerself, coulda been a person with long grudges, specially after you ran me over and then put a bloody sword in my face instead a apologizing." She drew her shawl closer again. This had been fun for a moment, but now the cold was seeping back in and she was in a desperate need of some hot drink. "Now, if the madame would excuse me?", she scrawled in a mock posh tone. "I need a frakin drink."
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief (Elyn) Shoves the paper at the clerk. "I'll be right back!" and rushes toward the fountain to see a totally defused fight and thinks... oh, well I better get back to that clerk.
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: Smiles broadly at Sienna. "I'd love a tart."
<Comical1> Caitlin: "Amen to that, sister," Cait grumbled under her breath. Just as she turned toward the local shops lining the square parallel to the town homes on the other side of the fountain, she spotted the fleeing back of someone familiar. Cait reached over and put a hand on her first mates shoulder. "And I think I know where we can get one, for free," she said, referring to the drinking comments. "OYE! Elyn," she shouted at her ships supply manager.
<Yelsah> "Um I think we've met once before but I'm no good with names." Sienna Smiled and handed over a few tarts. Mingo wasn't happy but abided by the woman quietly, watching Jak with his beady blue eyes. That was one less tart he would have now. Stupid useless featherless creature.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: Her eyebrows went up, well, she wasn't one to ever refuse something for free; don't look a gift horse in the mouth and all. "Now that'd change things, what, forgive n forget?" Her posture relaxed by a fraction, fight-or-flight instinct still intact, but less on guard. Ah, and the girl the woman next to her had called? Her reaction was priceless, freezing up for a second before turning back around, a perfect deer in the headlights moment. A chuckle spilled from her throat, maybe this could still work out.
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief (Elyn) quickly regained her composure, "Oh, hello Caitlin! How are you?"
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: Hurriedly shoves the tarts in his pockets and then holds out his hand to Sienna, glancing nervously at Mingo. "Jak. But I don't think I remember who your...er, friend is."
<Comical1> Caitlin: She gave a sideways glance at her new acquaintance and nodded slighly. Then to Elyn she asked: "Any chance you've picked up that shipment of ale?"
<Yelsah> "Oh this is Mingo. Or Sir Mingo as he prefers to be called by everyone else." Sienna explained laughing as the bird clacked his beak in annoyance. "He's um..... nto very friendly and seems to hate guys even more." She added.
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief (Elyn) "I was just handing the order to the clerk but I... heard a fight and thought I should go check it out, but there is no fight." Not... really lying...
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: Ale, yes, that could definitely work, even though some sort of more high percentage alcohol would've been nice. But boy, that girl mentally cracked her up. "Nah, no fighting goin' on around here, maybe ya should just… you know, go and get that ale. Ta keep the peace n all, sweetheart."
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: Smirks slightly and make a playful mock-bow at Mingo, and suddenly realising the back of his skull is vulnerable to an angry bird beak, quikly straightens and backs up.
<Comical1> Cait's First Mate: "Here, let me help," he offered Elyn a hand as he moved forward, holding the shop door open for her. "It would seem our Baroness would like to have a taste testing before we haul the goods back to the docks." Caitlin: She smiled at her two shipmates before turning to the other woman. Whiskey and Ale always had a way of lifting her spirits, even now after their confrontation it helped to wash her irritation away. "I don't believe we've been properly introduced," She said to the other woman. "My name is Caitlin Cockfoster, Baron Cockfoster's daughter." She held her hand out for a shake. She was much more than the baron's daughter, but she didn't go around making herself a target by admitting she was the queen of rogues.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: She inclined her head in acknowledgement, then smiled at the confirmation of her suspicion. "Fancy meeting you then, miss Cockfoster." And if she had fun with her name, she surely wasn't the first one. Plus, it was so fitting with her own occupation. "Acantha Ashdown's mine. Daughter to nobody important, as well as a dollymop", deadpan, even if still amused, voice, and a firm handshake. If Caitlin had wanted to pull away at that admission, well, Acantha sure wasn't letting her.
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief (Elyn) "I'm back! And Caitlin would like to test the stores." Adeslief leaned onto a nearby wall.
<Yelsah> Sienna Laughed and stood up grabbing Mingo just in time to keep him from pecking Jak. "Well, I have to head back home. Take care." She said smiling tucking the flamingo under her arm and strode off looking funny as always.
<Law-of-Murph> Jak: Waves at Mingo and Sienna.
<Comical1> Caitlin: She grinned a big, ravenous smile at the woman shaking her hand. "What a bold profession," she replied politely. If the bluntness of her words were meant to shock the baroness she'd be sorely disappointed. Truth was, Cait's father was terribly embarrassed at his daughters roguish personality and lack of ladylikeness... though he'd never admit it out of his own gentlemanly honor. She led Acantha into the liquor store after her pirate pals. "Grab a brew, we're taste testing them before they go to the docs. Standard procedure," she winked, sicne this was far from the truth, "before allowing the sailors to journey out to sea. wouldn't want to stock up anything bitter for the boys, would we?"

<feliceMemoria> Acantha: Oh, Caitlin's grin was infecting, now that wasn't the reaction of a noblewoman, but one she could definitely get behind. She followed her into the store, taking in the looks and smells and letting her grin widen. "Not sure they could take on all that anyway, eh?" First reading the labels, then choosing one at random, she ended up with a dark brew. She sat down on one of the barstools with the grace of someone who has frequented bars for a long time and raised her glass to the other woman. "Cheers, missus."
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief (Elyn) picks up a glass and eyes the barrels for a while before smiling and tapping a mix of a red and pale pink ale. "Cheers!"
<LunieLu> Elowyss grumbled to herself, she had spent the best part of the night in Magicae Incolentium's new hideaway, a dusty and freezing cold cellar and she was not in the best mood because of it. Deciding that she would head back to her pharmacy for a couple of hours, Ella finally made her way back to the surface of Lodan; shielding her eyes from the bright rays of sunlight after spending so many hours in a dimly lit room.
<Comical1> Caitlin: As for herself, she picked a lighter draft, the color of honey in sunlight and fill it till the froth overflowed the glass. "Cheers!" she toasted, before swigging a big gulp.
<feliceMemoria> Acantha: She took a couple of swigs before noticing the wooden clock on the wall, happily ticking away. Now, wasn't there somethi- "…bollocks." She frowned, looking between the pint and her host. "'fraid I forgot that moron of my mother wanted to meet up today; n got one a my regulars in the afternoon." A small impish smile. "I'll keep yer present for now though." Meaning the pint, which wasn't going anywhere apart from her own mouth. She cheekily stroked her forefinger down over Cait's right cheekbone before heading for the door.
<Comical1> Caitlin: She shied away from Acantha's touch. Not that she was repulsed persay, it just wasn't a welcome gesture. They might be drinking together, but that didn't make them familiars. Cait crossed her arms and nodded to the woman. "A gift it is," she replied, then turned to the store clerk. "The ales are good, you have my concent to package and ship them to the fleet." By fleet, she meant her band of rogues, not the inactive militia sailors that sat on the docks looking all sorts of lost in life. Without saying much more she left her first mate to assist the ships supply manager with the transport of goods.
<Moenettewashere> Adeslief woke up later that night with a hangover and areciept for the ale and citrus stores in her hair and crept through the alleys back home.
<Yelsah> Seinna had managed to convince Mingo to leave the comforts of their home to venture out She'd had a warm but light shawl designed just for her feathered companion. She frowned, looking between the pint and her host.
