Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Pyre was strolling through the merchant district, he was in need of supplies to keep his establishment clean the man may look grubby himself, but then again, he is some sort of filth magnet one step outside and he looks like he is a patron of the place not the owner.
Pyre walked up to the shop that he would normally purchase his usual cleaning products from, however on this occasion they was shut, he peered through the window and tapped on the glass. “So the day is going to be like this” Pyre walked off in a huff.

Edgar had gone out to pick up some supplies for his front business. A couple new blades, ingredients to mix shaving cream, and a new bottle of ammonia for the occasion cleaning that he did. He had all the items stacked in a basket, the ammonia being on top, as he walked back towards his shop, when he noticed a man tapping on the window of closed shop. Walking up to him, Edgar raised an eyebrow and asked, “Are you lost? Doesn’t look like this was the place you were looking for.”

Pyre turned and looked at the man giving him a quick scan, he noticed the bottle of ammonia resting on the top of his basket. “On the contrary this is the place I am looking, however for whatever reason they appear to be shut.” Pyre paused looked at the bottle again pondering if he should ask the man for help. Well he did offer screw it and I need the cleaning products he thought.
Pyre sighed aloud “OK since you was kind enough to ask I will spill my quandary, I need some cleaning products I have an important guest coming over to mine and well ... it is a tad grubby.” He paused to catch his breath “And as luck may have it I can see you have a bottle of what seems to be ammonia right there so you could be a huge help to me.”
He looked at the man with pleading eyes. "Please?"

Edgar’s first reaction was to glance over at his own cleaning supplies, as if to make sure they were actually there. So this man wanted what he had? That was always a good thing, from a business point of view. The fact that he was in a hurry was even better.
Nodding to the man, Edgar quickly formed a plan in his mind. “I’ll make you a deal. I won’t give you this bottle, the stuff in expensive, but I’ll accompany you and help you clean this place of yours. When we finish, I’ll keep what remains of the bottle, and after a short conversation, I’ll be on my way.” It was very simple in the feline Ander’s mind. I help you clean, you promote my business. Although he hadn’t announced that second part, that would be a apart of the conversation.
Holding out a hand, one covered in a black leather glove, to the presently nameless man, he waited for an answer. “Deal?” he asked, slightly raising an eyebrow.

Pyre watched the man’s response how he checked the basket and then spoke from the man’s initial reaction coupled with the body language he was giving off as he responded to his question.
After a brief thought Pyre deemed him trust worthy enough, “Okay sure I can’t see the harm in a bit of help I can always get my own supplies later down the line as well.” Pyre paused and tapped his foot waggled his finger “Only thing I don’t quite get, is what you get out of this.” Pyre looked at the man curiously awaiting a response.

So the man was smarter than he looked. To answer this, Edgar merely smiled a tiny bit, shrugging his shoulders. “I’ll cover it in the conversation afterwards. It’s nothing serious I promise.” He would explain now, except that he wasn’t sure if the strange man was trustworthy enough. If he proved to be, then he’d get the information about Edgar’s illegal business. If not, then the conversation would more be a pitch on behalf of Mingo’s, asking him to direct people to the guild.
Either would be beneficial, the feline would just prefer to have the business directed on him instead of Mingo’s as a whole.

Pyre scratched his head and shrugged, “Yeah, why not I mean worst thing that could happen, I get the whole bottle to keep.”
He chuckled to himself, kind of sounded like murder, but he thought nothing of it. “Okay, my business is on the outskirts of the sea port it's a small tavern actually quite a nice place if I say so myself, although the local traffic tends not to be.” Pyre gestured his arms in its direction.

“Taverns tend to attract all sorts of attention,” Edgar said plainly as he began walking.
He regarded the man with a sideways glance, actually taking in his appearance. He had rather large hair, a pair of goggles on his head (that seemed to be quite the popular trend these days), and walked with a confident air. Overall he seemed like a nice man, asked a question before accepting the deal (always a good sign) and was willing to work with a stranger. The feline ander waited to see what else the man would say as they continued to walk.

Pyre laughed at the rather blunt response “Aye that they do, albeit not all the attention is bad.” Well not bad for him the odd thief or crook tends to be of use few drinks and they sing better than any performer figuratively speaking. “So, what do you do to earn money?” he asked more out of manners than anything. “Oh and I have a few trinkets on the sides they like to collect dust... actually probably best not to clean them at all.”
After the walk they arrived at the tavern the sign outside was illegible, Pyre unlocked the door and walked inside holding the door open. The tavern was set out with two booths on the right hand side and some tables and chairs on the left. On the far left side there was a set of stair leading up to three rooms all visible from and inside balcony. Finally, front and centre from the door was a bar lined with stools. . “Welcome to the Dragons Hollow...” Pyre cut of his speech to quickly jump over the bar and close a door leading out back.

The feline ander raised an eyebrow as the man laughed. The new acquaintance was good spirited; made sense given that he ran a tavern. “I run a small barber shop,” he answered plainly when asked about his work. It was his cover business after all. Don’t touch the trinkets, got it.
When they arrived at the shop, Edgar looked around with a curious eye. Not too clean, not too cluttered, your average tavern. And he left the back door open. As he rushed to close it, Edgar chuckled a little, setting his basket down and taking out the bottle of ammonia. “So whatcha want cleaned first?” he asked, rolling up his sleeves. The black gloves stayed on, however.

Pyre looked around and stroked his chin “hmm well it’s the tables bar and banisters that need the good old shine put on them mainly.” He grabbed some old rags from under the bar and threw one over to his partner in shine. “Suppose the tables first, oh where are my manners anything I can get you? I mean we are at a bar after all!”
Pyre pulled out a bowl of nuts and two glasses. “what’s your poison?”

Edgar caught the rag with ease, poured some of the cleaning liquid onto it and then got to work on the nearest table. The dirt and grime began coming off with ease.
“Scotch on the rocks,” he answered when it came to the drink. He wasn’t a big drinker but a one glass here or there didn’t hurt. “How long have you had this place?” was the next question.
"Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets." -Paul Tournier
Pyre nodded and pulled out a cork from the top of a large bottle, he then took a glass of water pouring it over his fingers a froze it into tiny cubes under the counter he picked them up placing them equally in each glass. He poured the whisky from within the large bottle into the glass.
Pyre re-bunged the bottle and swapped it over for a bottle of cola, Pyre sniffed it “Mmm, this smells good though the stuff sure is addictive though probably one of the ingredients.” He poured half the bottle into the other glass “But hey if it is as good for you as they say it can't be anything too bad.”
Pyre walked the drink over to the man hard at work cleaning “one scotch as ordered.”
Magic, hm? So this man was an Ander and wasn’t afraid to show it. That was good news; very good news indeed. Moving on to the next table he sipped the drink, enjoying the chill the newly frozen ice gave. “It’s not that bad; you should try it some time,” he said in response to the addictive comment.
And it seemed that his previous question was lost to the art of making a drink. Would be best to just ask again as if nothing happened. “How long have you been working here?”
"Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets." -Paul Tournier
Pyre laughed aloud the notion of him having a drink was near insane, “I wouldn't want to drink my most expensive stock.” That and he never has had a good experience with alcohol. Pyre proceeded to rub down the bar with an old cloth.
The question arose again how long had he been working here, he sighed “Well working here as long as I can recall to be honest this place is family owned I suppose.”
He tried to change the topic quickly “So what's your story?”
