Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to all. This is the daytime half of Edgar's first day of opening shop. For the nighttime half, see the thread "Open for Business (Night Thread)" After sweeping the last bit of dust out through the doorway of his new shop, Edgar stood outside and looked over the place. Not too upscale, not too shabby, somewhere in the middle, which was exactly how he wanted it. He pulled out a cloth and polished the striped barbershop pole that hung by the door before stepping back inside. He flipped over the sign that read CLOSED so that it now read as OPEN and took a seat near a counter. Edgar didn’t expect very many visitors today, if he received any at all. No, what he was expecting was to receive visitors this evening. He had told a small handful of clients about his move to a more secure location and hoped that the word had spread. When the sign in front was flipped back to Closed, then the business in back could really begin. But for now, he was a simple barber.

(ok , throwing Eryn in here, lets see what happens to the little mouse of Lodan in a barber shop)
Eryn was out doing some shopping for Edelweiss and jasper and pearl , it seemed fun going into shops and looking for matching items on the list , she could not ready but she could match the letters with the items title and normally she could always ask the shop keepers who where always happy to help , it was at the moment as soon as she came out of a shop she saw a new shop she had never saw before , it had a odd red and white thing that span around , it had pictures of people with nice hair , she looked inside and saw the chair looked odd and their was mirrors and all sorts inside, she decided to go in and find out what the place was, if it was like the dressing room in the theater then she was in for some fun "h hello" she said as she entered the shop.
Hearing the door open, Edgar looked up from the counter, seeing a read-haired child walk in. She must be lost. He scoffed, finding it humorous that his first customer was so small. He hefted himself up and walked over to the girl, on the off chance that she did want her wild hair trimmed, he would treat her kindly. “Hello. Ya here for a haircut or are ya lost?” He looked down at the girl, speaking clearly.

Eryn the noticed the man who came over , he looked very different then other shop keepers as he said something about a Hair cut "hello , w what a hair cut , sorry im not fully familliar with everything yet , am Eryn , Amon is my friend and he said i could adventure round this part of town any time , but whats a hair cut , it sounds fun to get a hair cut ? " Eryn asked as she took off googlies with the low light in the shop for her eyes.
(ill let ya cut her hair , could be a part of her update ))

Keefe had finally gotten enough art to fill his shop and decided to give himself the day off, not only because he wanted one, but because he needed it. He needed to go out and stock up one food and needed some new clothing. After exploring the town and getting all that he needed to get he made his way back home. Once he got there he began to put everything away, the food, his new clothing, and of course his new hat. He did love his hats. He looked at it for a moment before putting it on and looking in the mirror, upon doing so he noticed something that made him a bit upset. His hair had grown out, and was much longer than he wanted. Thinking back he hadn't gotten a hair cut since he got here, and that was a few months ago.
Heading back out the door Keefe began to search the merchants district for a barber. Walking around Keefe found the place he was looking for, and it was signaled with the iconic white and red striped pillar that hung outside the door. "Hello." Keefe said as he walked in and looked around some, there was another man and a small girl standing in the shop. "Oh..." he thought to himself "Maybe I should come back... But I can wait too, that might not be so bad."

Edgar nodded to the girl, understanding her unusual speech. So she knew Amon? That was interesting. “Okay, come this way,” He led her to one of the chairs and as she sat in it, someone else entered the shop. He turned towards the new guest, assuming he was here for a haircut as well. “Ya can have a seat and I’ll be with ya in a moment. I work quick.” He pointed to the chair next to the one the girl sat in as he spoke.
With the young girl in the seat, Edgar walked to the counter and picked up his tools. He came up behind the girl then and began combing her hair gently. “I’ll just trim a little off,” he said to both himself and the girl. It had been quite some time since he cut hair, but time hadn't taken away his skills. As he trimmed, he glanced over at the other customer, hoping he didn't mind the wait. Once he was finished with the girl’s hair, he held a mirror up to her. If she liked it, he could move on to his next guest. He did hate to keep people waiting.

"Oh. Ok!" Keefe said with a smile as he walked over to the chair next to the girl and the barber, both seeming to be nice people. After taking a seat Keefe couldn't help but look around some, all the barber chairs and mirrors, it reminded him slightly of a place back in his home town, just with less pictures. That place had too many pictures if you asked any of the costumers, any costumer except Keefe, in his mind you could never have too many pictures. He continued too look around as the man trimmed the girls hair. Keefe couldn't help but get a little excited, he always did love getting his hair cut, and he defiantly didn't mind the wait. Good things come to those who wait! ...Most of the time.
Eryn smiled as her as the fellow started to work in her hair , this seem all so exciting as she watched her hair turn from what it was to a nice short look "~waaaaaa~" Eryn said with amazement, this was fun .

Edgar smiled when he saw the girl react to her new appearance. Although his smile was more of a twitch at the corner of his mouth, he was happy to see that she liked it. “On the house,” he said simply and moved on from her, allowing her to leave if she chose. He had another customer to tend to after all.
“Welcome to Anapello’s barber shop. How much am I taking off?” he asked the blond guy, already starting to comb through his hair.

"An inch or so, please." Keefe said as the man began to comb through his hair. Though Keefe normally had longer hair, this was just too long for his liking. Looking over his shoulder some he noticed the small girl was still there, "Your hair looks very nice, this man did a good job." He said with a light and kind smile, "Now lets hope he can do the same for me, ya!" Keefe chuckled some as he turned back around. Keefe had a soft spot for children, and he couldn't help but try to befriend them whenever he was around. Keefe loved the joy and wonder they brought to the world. "Anyway, have you just moved here, or am I a blind shop owner that never noticed you before?" Keefe asked a yet another smile came on his face.

“Moved in a couple days ago,” he said plainly. Edgar continued to comb through the boy’s hair for a few more moments before actually beginning to cut. About an inch the boy had said, so about an inch is what he was taking off.

"Ah so you are new then! Well welcome to the neighbor hood, hope you enjoy it around here!" Keefe said with a friendly smile as he looked straight head and didn't move a muscle. Keefe wanted to talk more but for some reason this man didn't seem like the type to enjoy a conversation, odd but Keefe understood not everyone liked to talk. So instead Keefe sat still and waited to see what the man would say, if he said anything at all.

“Thanks for the welcome,” Edgar commented between snips. Unlike some other barbers, he could hold a conversation while working on the hair. “You have a shop here?” he asked after a few moments, a bit curious about the kid seeing as he implied he was a part of the neighborhood.

"Oh ya I do own a shop around here, just down the street actually." Keefe said with a smile, happy the man could hold a conversation while working. Keefe knew it was hard to hold a conversation while working especially for him, he could hold a short conversation while working but if a detailed one was to come he would have to stop what he was working on, he didn't like stopping his work though. "It's a small art shop." Keefe said proud of his little place and all the art that was held within walls.

“Art, eh? What’s that like?” he continued, about halfway done with the haircut. He could have been finished by now, if he was in a hurry, but curiosity got the better of him and he wanted to learn more about the boy. Hopefully the slowness would be attributed to his talking and not his actual skills.
