Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
OPEN TO ALL "Hah...it's finally quieted down again..." Amon sighed. The festival was over, and the final clean-up arrangements were wrapping up. Rather successful overall. Plus, they got not just one, but two new members into Mingo's.
He was about to turn in when he felt an odd sensation run through his arm, signalling the approach of someone magical in nature. "Odd...there arn't that many people I don't recognize, and I'm nowhere near Keefe's shop..." he thought to himself.

Edgar cleared his throat as he stood a few feet behind the eye-patched man. He was told this was whom he needed to see about getting a new shop in the merchant’s district, a thing that would profit both of his businesses. “Are you Amon?” Edgar asked after the man turned around.

"Ah, yes I am," he replied, realizing the source of his twitching arm. He did a quick survey of the man; aside from a rather intense expression, the only thing that stood out about him was that he was completely dressed in black. "...What is up with this color...?" he thought, being reminded of two other Mingo's members.
"Can I help you?"
(sorry for the delay)

“Ah, yes. My name is Edgar, Edgar Anapello. I was wondering if you could help me in getting a new shop within the Merchants District.” Edgar was very formal as he spoke to the man, doing his best not to look at the mechanical arm, which surely sensed his magical abilities. Edgar had tried contacting the guild leader ahead of time, but wasn’t sure if any of his messages made it to the man. So seeing him in person seemed to be the best idea.

"...Were you the guy that was trying to get in touch with me...?" Amon asked, suddenly reminded of the letters he had gotten. "Sorry about that, it was pretty busy around here, what with the festival and all. But yeah, I can help you get set up; did you have a place in mind?"
"Also, what type of business were you planning?"

“Yes, those messages from me. I noticed a recently vacated building up the street a ways, would it be possible for me to use that one? I plan to run a barber shop.” He paused, looking around to see if anyone was nearby and took a half step closer to the man. “As well as another sort of business. But I’m not sure how involved with that you’d want to be.” He knew that being honest with this man was his best chance for success, however what he couldn’t say is whether or not he’d be accepting of Edgar’s other business.
Amon felt his heart drop. On one hand, Mingo's was in need of personnel, compared to the other guilds; on the other hand, he already has his hands full with one shady business, and he really didn't need another.
"...Okay, come into my shop for a bit," he said with a sigh, leading the way. He had already sent the twins to the back for a number of errands, but they should've felt Edgar's presence...hopefully that'll be enough to keep them in the back a little longer. He made his way to the back counter and prepared himself for the worst.
"Okay, what is this...other business...?"

Following Amon into his shop Edgar took a deep breath and prepared for the worst. “I work in the art of deception, helping Anderswelters hide their heritage from the rest of the world.” It didn’t sound so bad, really. It wasn’t like he was selling bodies or anything. It just happened to be an illegal business. But it was business that still received clients.

Amon blinked. "...That's it?" he replied, expecting something worse. "I mean, I can imagine it working on most of the population, but against the technologically savvy, good luck," he said as he wave his mechanical arm.
"Well, so long as nothing...extreme happens, and you take careful precautions on who you do business with, I'd be willing to let it slide. Besides, if someone were to call you out on that, you could always say your side business is in make-up or something..." he said thoughtfully. He always had a soft spot for Anderswelters anyways, plus with EIRAL's current change in command, it was a great way to be a little passive aggressive to his new...business partners. In any event, this should be far easier to manage compared to a certain other person.
"Just try not to get caught, okay?"

“Whether or not my clients encounter the tech savvy is on their shoulders. I just hide the traits from the eyes,” he smiled slightly as Amon waved his mechanical arm. No amount of deceit could fool that thing.
“Thank you, and I will be as careful as always.” He would have held out his hand to shake on the deal, but realized that might not be the best of ideas.
