Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(Takes place concurrently to Keefe's trial; will consolidate with said thread when this is done) The Great Fall Feast was in full swing, but the only thing that Amon was concerned with was the new member coming in. He had gotten a letter from the owner of a pretty well known mining company outside of Lodan, asking the Mingo's leader to take one of his sons under his tutelage. Which was more that perfect, considering that Amon was ready to ramp up production for the next stage of his project. And so there he was, leaning next to the gateway to the district, staring absently at his pocket watch.
"He should be arriving soon..." he muttered, closing the watch and putting it in his bag.

as a wagon made it way into Lodan, a huge figure on the back of it only covered in a large throw over watched as the gate behind the wagon closed. the fellow who was driving the wagon looked back to him and said "ah here we are , Lodan city! this is your stop sir the city of gear and marvel of the new world * with a smile as the huge figure took off the cover to reveal a Giant of a man as he stepped off the wagon.
(just to set the theme ou<)
Jo'e had never seen the likes of this city before , he was so used to the mounters and the mines that this was a different to him to see a lot of metal which looked ok-ish and bricks, there was alot of them too "Ai this es.. i never tough aboot it but its look nice, despite the augements i have aboot them metal things being made with better metal" he said as he picked up his sack of belonging from the wagon as he started to ponder where to go now , he know he had to find someone that was gonna teach him alot of things. he though about how his father is at home and if the mine was ok and how his friends and familly where as he watched the wagon set off again deeper into the city. he didnt know know where to go or what to do so he started to ask around how to find the Mingo's Merchanics to the local people that where around.

"...you have got to be kidding me..." thought Amon, "The letter said that the guy was tall, but he never mentioned he'd be a barking giant!"
With a sigh, he pushed himself off of the wall he was leaning on and approached the new recruit.
"Excuse me, Jo'e Deeprock I presume?"

it was then when Jo'e heard a voice from behind him , he promptly turned to see a small man with an eye patch and what looked to be a crain claw for an arm "yes I be Jo'e, Jo'e Deeprock at your sevice. I guessing that you would the Guild leader that my Papa sent me to?" he as he bent down a bit to speak to the fellow
"Yeah, the name's Amon," he replied. "So, I know your family runs a well known mining company, but what sort of shop do you wish to run at Mingo's?" he asked.
"Also, how proficient are you with mining without machines?"

Jo'e was a bit surprised when he was asked what shop he would run , the fact never crossed his mind before since he had been a miner all his life , so instead he choose the answer the 2ed question since he felt a bit offended being compared to a machine "well the mine back at home never used machines, ai they may get the job done but they are not as fast as me or as effect, while machines brake down i can keep mining, ask my father aboot that , he tell ya he won a race against one of them fiangled drilling machine" he said as he put his hand on the head of his pickaxe on his belt "sir you cant get any better miner then a Deeprock at ya side"
"Well that's good to know," Amon replied with a slight grin. "I have a project I'll need your help with later on. But you didn't answer my other question: what sort of shop do you wish to run?"

"Errrrr" Jo'e didnt know how to answer that question very very very well since he didn't know what shop he could run "w well , i dont know , my skills of mining for metals and then making them into ingots of high quality are my specialty as well as a tad bit of blacksmithing, i dont know the 1st thing about running a business but i can run a team of miners and i know how to build a forge. so there is that " he hoped that that he did not end up being a shop keeper of clothes or something silly.

"Why, Hello Amon! How splendid to see you out today!" An all too familiar voice rang as the dark-haired man walked up with his typical swagger. "And greetings to you too, sir." Iacomus said as he turned towards Jo'e, an amused grin on his face, as he looked the man over. "I am Iacomus Lerwick, but you can call me whatever you like!" He stood straight as he held out his hand "Whomever might you be?" He turned his head back to look at Amon and raised his eyebrows as he whispered "is this, by any chance, a new member?"
"A blacksmith, huh..." Amon muttered, just moments before being shaken loose from his thoughts.
"Oh, hey Iaco, this is Jo'e Deeprock, our newest member. Jo'e, this is Iacomus Lerwick, Mingo's...residential doctor," said Amon as he introduced the two, giving Iaco a quick look. Bailing the man out during the aftermath of the string of murders was, for lack of better words, a pain in the bum, and had hoped that he learned a valuable lesson and was behaving himself...hoped.
"As for your shop Jo'e, a blacksmith would work just fine, especially in light of...recent events...kinda surprised Clancy hasn't gotten more customers actually," he added thoughtfully. "Ah well, usually I would have you choose your shop and you can begin moving in immediately, but with the festival happening, it may be difficult to actually pick your desired storefront. For now, you can drop your stuff off at one of the inns in the district. Tell them Amon will foot the bill. In the meantime, explore the district and enjoy the festival. I'll set up your paperwork, and as soon as the festival ends, get you work-ways. If you need anything else, I'll be in the toy store just down the street," he said, pointing towards his shop.
"Unfortunately, I have other matters to attend to. Please to meet you and welcome to Mingo's," he said with a wave as he made his way back to his shop.
(Sorry Iaco, couldn't resist! ) (Well, at this point, I'd call your trial over Jo'e. If you want, you can continue RP'ing here with Iaco, you guys can move the RP over to Keefe's trial, and/or start doing your own thing.)

it was then when everything got a bit more confusing when a small pasty guy came over , he looked very white and and looked like he was compensating with that top hat of his , however it was cleared up that the guy was a doctor which explained alot why he was small , sure he could save lives by cutting up and sowing up people but it was not a honest days works like the mines are "nice to meet ya Doc" Jo'e said as he looked as the tiny frame of a man , before his new boss gave him instructions and then left. "well that was wee bit fast" he said to himself as he held onto this things "am guessing you want to me walk with ya? ah?" he asked the doctor, making sure that the fellow wanted him to come with him.

Ah! So his speculations were correct! He looked up at the towering man and wondered what sort of shop this giant might want to start. With his typical suspicious smile, he chuckled a little as Amon left. "Have a splendid day, Amon!" He called after. "Now, dear Mr. Deeprock." He said as he turned around to face him. "Come! Allow me to show you to the inn!" With flair, Iacomus spun back around, and began to strut in the direction he would lead the new comer.

"well lead the way" Jo'e said to the little doctor as he slug his bag over his shoulder, "tell me Doc , what Lodan's Main "features" , is there a goood old pub or clubs that a Man like me can wee down??" he hoped that the "services" in the city was good that he didn't have to find his own.

"Well, I'm sure you could find something in the theater district! There are wonderful pubs in that direction, I must say, most notably, however, is the gentleman's club. I can show you there if you would like." Iacomus replied with a chuckle and a wink, as he led the towering man towards the inn.
