Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(note this goes along side Eryn's thread) it was snowy morning as Rava looked out to the dock from the salty dog.
the snow that fell from the sky reminded her past of how her trial was done in the snow. she went over to the fire place and place another peace of wood into it to keep it rawing and alive. hopefully today she would get some customers coming in to get away from the cold.
Dice was in his bed chewing on a bone Rava got him , she had also covered him with a blanket to keep him warm.
Rava sat down at the bar as she started to write a book , her own journal that she started some time ago . recording what thing since the salty dog's opening as well as her plans to expand the Dog's cellar to become more rooms for her 'Projects', to make the back yard into a small Bath house and the upper floors into more a better home and other things that would make this place better then before.

Although longer coats had become somewhat taboo as of late due to the events of a few months ago, Iacomus adjusted the collar of his own and tugged at the soft cloth of the scarf he had wrapped around his neck and shielded his chin. The tips of his fingers were left uncovered, but the rest of his hands were shrouded by fingerless black gloves, and he wore on his feet larger boots with heavier soles. He didn't much mind the cold as much as some others did, but he thought me may as well be prepared as winter seemed to arrive. Steadily, fluffy clumps of white floated down from the overcast skies outside his window and accumulated on the brick streets of the shopping district, and he spun his hat once around his finger and set it on his head of curly dark hair. With that, he opened the door and stepped outside, then proceeded to walk through the season's first snow.
What he had needed to go out for was some more storage jars and a new pen, both of which he had, for some strange reason, trouble finding. The organ vender traveled to the outskirts of the merchants to district to retrieve what he needed, which was quite a surprise to him, but he thought, despite the cold, that as long as he was out there... "Maybe I could visit a resteraunt or a pub." He said to himself with a chuckle as he walked again. "I have been cooped up in my shop for the longest time. People seem not to be too fond of me as of late. A shame, really." His yellow eyes glanced up at the sky, as the snow continued to fall, and his smirk grew wider as he laughed to quietly to himself. A pub... Maybe he could go to that newer one, the "Salty Dog." With that, he went on his way.
"Hello Miss Rava!" Iacomus said as he entered the resteraunt with a grin, the tail of his scarf flying after him. "How are you this chilly day?"
and then customers started to come, Rava turned from her set to see a familiar face as well as the smell of blood again, it was that man from before when he came in on the 1st day that the salty dog opened. she got up "oh~ welcome back" quickly going behind the bar to sever the customer " am well , just a snowy day just rare to see , Its means winter is coming fast, am surprised that it been over a year" she said as she got a glass out , "so what can i get you today? "
Dice had notice the person coming however the bone he got and the nice and warm in his bed what reason is there to move? so he kept eating

"Whatever you recommend. And maybe a pleasant chat, hm? The snow was a surprise to me as well, I must admit." Iacomus said as he sat down at the counter, glancing once at Dice before resting his chin on his folded fingers and smiling at Rava. He knew he had met her the day the Salty Dog had opened, but something about her seemed even more familiar, but he could not place his finger on it...
Rava nodded as she severed up a bottle of beer "the good old classic , nothing beats it" she said as she offer it to the customer " a chat sounds nice , what ya want to chat about, i mean i do have some stories and i know a few things here and there but am not like" she leaned on the bar for a bit as she looked at the gentleman "but not funny business , trust me i already been through alot of 'funny business' " making sure that she was clear.

"Funny business?" Iacomus said, his smile remaining but his eyebrows moving upwards a little. "Whatever do you mean, Miss Rava?" Did she suspect him of something, or did she just say that to everybody? He grasped the bottle of beer as he spoke again in an attempt to move the subject away a little. "What are these stories you speak about? I am quite interested to hear them!"
"oh well , they are long , and mostly from my teenage years when i used to live with my 'Family ' , it complicated since we where all spread about and was always travailing , since i was born on the islands of Ca a'lla but grow up travailing until a year ago ...that when i came here" she said as she starts to clean glasses , she didn't trust this guy , he kept of giving of the smell of blood , of dead , even if he looked clean, Rava's years of being a bandit who took like every day could not mistake the faint smell of the fallen. she choose her stories carefully "i been to places that are amazing , the the south lands and some cities too "

"Splendid! You must have some very interesting stories to tell." He ran his finger around the rim of the container his beer was in and leaned his cheek on his knuckles as he rested his elbow on the counter. "So, are you a seafarer, or do you take to the skies?" He had to be careful, he could seen in her eye that she was weary of him.
"sea goer mainly, i only took to the sky once and that was a year ago " she said as she put another glass away on the shelf and got another one from the drying board. "most of them where camping in thew wildness , learning how to hunt beasts , making leather , cooking camp foods like dry jerky and cured meats as well as learning the lands. you think i would be still out there doing all that stuff" Rava put another glass away " and the cities, well they where all different , most of the time we would only stop over for a few days in one to do some stuff but other then that it was always on the road."

"It does sound fun to travel" Iacomus said with his eyes half closed. "Although, maybe not in the same sense as you do. I've never been a big fan of the wilderness." He took a sip of his drink, wondering what sort of a traveler she was. Of course he'd never say it out loud, but he wondered if she was simply an adventurer, or if she was some sort of rogue or criminal. She did look the type, with her eye patch and choice in attire. But, of course, who was he to judge?
Rava noticed that he was looking her up and down , she though that he was trying to figure her out but she did not want to jump to conclusion and continued to entertain the customer "well you get used to the outdoors after you learn the way of the land, just city life is just the same but not having to sleep outside if your lucky, to think about everywhere is a forest, you could think of lodan as a metal and brick forest and the houses and statues are trees and rocks and how the cycle of nature is always present.i mean you got the humans and Anders.w.w.weltler, " she continue as she put away another glass as she struggled with the word " which correct me if am right dont like each other? mostly, which i dont hold anything against any race since they are all people. and also you got assorts of groups that have there own things , and then you got that bloody queen and that army which if i may say are not good at what they do. " remembering her own experience with them "i mean this place is ok , its not as bad as where i come from but its not the nice flower in the bush. por lo tanto es lo que es!" she finished with her natural tongue as she finished putting the last glass away and sat down on the seat behind the bar and continued to write in her book. "humanos, demonios, ángeles o lo que sea, que son todas las personas , a person is a person regardless of what you are"

"My my, if you were not the owner of this pub you'd make a splendid writer! Forests of brick and metal... very poetic." He took another sip and waited as the woman continued. It was obvious she was not from Lodan originally due to the way she spoke and the way she talked of her travels, but even so, she seemed to have some interesting opinions on the dispute between humans and the anderswelter. The organ-vender smiled and slowly sipped at his drink as she spoke, listening to every word, nodding every so often, even though many of her claims he did not agree with. He was taken slightly aback, however, when she started to speak in a different language, one in which he was not very well versed, but he thought he got the gist of it. What a strange person this woman was. He had to admit that he enjoyed her company.
Rava then turned to him, the one thing that was bugging her as he looked at her and listening "ok , may i ask you something , what do you do for a living? , " wanting to make sure he was not what she think she was.

"Oh, well-" He closed his eyes and smiled as innocently as he could (which, truly, was not very much,) and set his drink down on the counter. "I own a small shop down in the merchant's district. It's a good job. I enjoy it very much." his eyes opened part way as he looked back at Rava, examining the expression on her face. He knew she suspected him of something, so of course he would be hesitant to tell her the true nature of his occupation. At the same time, he was somewhat suspicious of her as well, so they were in the same boat in that respect.
Rava looks over, she didnt need to read his smile fully to tell he had something dirty little secrets, she pulled out a cloth and wiped the side down as she accumulate of what he is. the smell of blood , the small frame , the way he looked and the clothes he wore "que todos tenemos algo que ocultar" she said she she sits down again as she decided to give him some advice" pardon me to give you this advice , but i recommend that you look into smoke washing , it helps get things that you don't want on them and leave then fresh if you use Tea leafs"
(yep , she just gave him the trick to not smelling like blood she knows)
