Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Ikuze sat against a wall, plucking at random strings on her guitar as she waited. The thief had been asked by Caitlin to handle a new recruit whilst she dealt with some match-making nonsense her father the Baron was putting her through. Suffice to say, she was feeling a touch nervous about this job. This was the Pirate Queen herself, leader of the Brotherhood of Rogues, giving her the responsibility to deal with a new recruit and test them... Then of course there was all these bloody murders going on recently as well to consider. Lodan was getting very uncertain for Anders, and even the half-bloods were starting to feel the pinch.
The blue haired girl took a slow breath as she tried to calm her nerves. All she had to do was see how this new recruit handled a job or two, and then let the Queen know. The question though was... what was she going to get him to do? The thief didn't know nearly enough about the ships, sky or sea, to use them for the test... guess she'd figure it out as soon as she met the recruit and got them talking. She could only hope her message had reached them to know where to meet up at.

He wasn't new to the atmosphere he knew what it was like to live on the ocean, sea wind in his face all the time. But to be a part of something bigger, to have access to endless others, it was a seduction and he wanted it for his life. He answered the call and he came.
Ikuze looked up as one of the pirates gave the arranged signal, a parrots caw, that the recruit was coming... or at least someone that resembled him at least. "Remind me again why I had One-Eye Eric as the lookout?" the thief muttered to herself before sighing and standing up, shouldering her guitar as she made her way towards him. As she got closer she decided to begin his test immediately with some practical applications of her own. First and foremost... was he a thief, pirate, brigand, or something else? First check, pick his pockets.
The blue haired girl "accidentally" bumped into the man, her nimble fingers trying to make quick work of his pockets contents before she put whatever her stolen goods were, if she managed to get anything at all from the man, behind her back before she looked at him "properly".
"I am so sorry about that!" she quickly apologised, making her cheeks blush from supposed embarrassment. "My head was elsewhere." said the blue haired thief before she peered at him. "Your name ain't Willbert is it?" asked Ikuze.

He was surprised when a blue haired girl bumped into him. "Oh, that is okay," he replied. "And yes, my name is Jackson Willbert! I got a message from Miss Caitlin Cockfoster to meet her for...hey!" he exclaimed, checking his pockets. Where'd the letter go...and the rest of his stuff while he was at it!
Ikuze gave a disappointed sigh as she revealed in her hands the entire contents of his pockets. "Well, that answers that. You ain't no thief. Least not a street one anyway." she said, offering him his things back. "The Boss is a little occupied right now, so she's got me down here to test you." explained the blue haired girl, all blush having vanished from her cheeks as she sized the older man up. "First note, don't ever use the bosses name out in public alright? Reputations and all that. Second, why don't you tell me about yourself eh? Boss has told me a few things already, but I'd like to hear it from the horses mouth." said the thief, gauging how this one would deal with being told what to do by a girl half his age.

Jackson couldn't hope but be a little embarrassed. "Oh well, uh, sorry," he said as he retrieved his stuff. "Well, I've lived in Lodan my whole life. Worked at the docks here with my parents before taking up the business myself, so I know my ropework," he said with a wink.
"If that's you tryin' to flirt with me, two points. First, you're twice my age, so no chance." said the thief with a frown. "Second, I'm already taken." Ikuze informed him before she thought about what he'd said. "Alrighty, so you worked the docks... gonna guess then you know you're way around ships then? Sea or sky?" asked the thief, making this trial up for this man as she went along.
