"Sir!" the man at the gate saluted and Skye returned his salute in a crisp fashion. He didn't bother with words, there were none needed.
He did enjoy her little show, however, "I believe I said you looked beautiful when I picked you up, though perhaps ravashing is a better word." he added a bit of flourish to the more stylish word and gave her a brief spin to give her a once over. "Though, I'm sure you know as well as I do, that layers do not make for good manuverability in a sword fight."
By that point they had reached the old barracks. They were slightly smaller and more ornate then their more modern barracks, but they had reached a point where they were no longer livable. Still it made a good building for some of thier more specialized training. Fighting through a building was a necessity in urban warfare. Skye held the door open so they could pass into the large entry hall. This building had never been designed with a reception area, instead it was a wide open in the center, with most of the rooms branching off. By the door there was also a large staircase thet went up to the second level where a catwalk ran around the interior. Perhaps it had been designed for guards to do their rounds without setting foot on the main floor, but the place had been empty since Skye had taken command. Along the length of the entry hall, there were slits in the floor, though their purpose was yet to be determined.
"Welcome to the training center," he gestured with his free hand, "you're the first outsider in some time that's been allowed in here. I read that it was once used for state dinners, but it has long since fallen out of style. A mixture of poor construction and termites have sealed it's fate, but we've found a use for it."
