Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

OPEN TO Rava Now that Skye had set the date for their first sparring match she knew that Rava had been released from prison and as such she expected first and foremost the girl would come looking for her. "well here I am," She muttered out loud, hands on hips and her feet planted on the pier right in front of her flag ship in the sky. She needed to have a talk with that girl, before things got any more difficult for their guild. There would be consequences, there already had been - she thought - remembering the payment she owed the commander for this favor of releasing her "cousin" from jail...
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
(ok , just by going from what happen from what happen she still in not a good state as her legs are not fully healed yet as well as her ego due to being arrested.)
from out a near by area Rava limped out into view, knowing that there was now no way to avoid this moment , stood there dressed in what was left since her armor and equipment where taken away from her when she was released, as well as her current state her legs where bandaged up, she felt she was not gonna live for much longer if Cait had anything to say about it , being arrested was worst then death to herself and at this point in her life as she limped over to Cait she wished she was .

When Caitlin finally saw Rava lurking she lowered her brows and pressed her lips in a scowl. "Ah the prodigal "cousin" returns... Today would be a good day to set the record straight. I'd come over hear where we can do that in private Rava," She gestured with her eyes that the girl should meet her on the pier. Then she realized what might be making her so afraid. "I promise not to throw you off the pier if that's what you're worried about." She made no guarantees that she wouldn't throw her off of her ship though, if the need arose. For now the girl was safe from immediate danger, Caitlin was already indebt to the commander for this, she didn't want to make that in vain.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Rava didn't feel safe at this point at all as she limped over to Caitlin , being back-stabbed before she was expecting something different this time around "if your gonna kill me , just do it now ..... i already failed at trying to steal something forbidden and should already be dead" she know it was the end and knowing most time in her bandit years when your rescue someone who is like you you out to make sure they never talk again.

Caitlin stared at Rava hard for a moment. then she frowned. "I'm not going to kill you Rava, getting you out of jail was too expensive and since it'll be my blood that pays the price I'm not throwing it away by ending your life. If thats what I wanted, I would have left you there to rot. But," she held up a finger and paused. When she knew she had the other woman's full attention she pointed at her and said, "You WILL have to work off this debt you owe me. The first step toward doing that is getting a legitimate job. Something the authorities can track and know that you're using your newly bought freedom "wisely" do you understand?" Rava was still bound to the brotherhood and she would reimburse them somehow in the future, but first priority was getting her off the radar that she got herself on.
"Once I'm confident they're through watching youre every move you can get back to rogue business. And when you do.... until I know I can trust you again, you'll need to run any plans you have by me before doing them."
Rava was shocked, this was the 100% 1st time that someone did that to her, with a sigh she asked weakly " how much do i need to pay? , also if it a job that out in the open ill be more in trouble with them bounty hunters which is something i not liking " Remembering that she is one of the most wanted people in the outer lands ".....also am not trained in any other things other then the bandit stuff which makes it kinda hard too for me to be in a normal job" which was followed by a line of Spanish "y yo no estoy siendo una prostituta...."
in her life this felt like more that more sand had fallen on her , she felt that now she was tangled up in too much , at this point she felt like crying , braking down , so much that this one proud soul had fallen so hard meany time she was nearly ready to be cracked open like an egg, Caitlin could see it in her eyes clearly. how a young woman who had been tempered through out the years by fighting , stealing , being near death has been broken down bit by bit, over the half past year. and right now she was trying her best to hold back her tears which where nearly ready to brake again. a rare sight which had only happened once before. but the question was what would Caitlin do ?
(and now a small poem which this post got me in the mood for making)
(the downfall of Rava)
a woman stolen of her womanhood a mother striped of her motherhood a leader removed of her leaderhood and stranded left of death.
a woman lefted with sadness and sorrow . a mother lefted with broken and needing . a leader lefted with only emptiness to prove and lost from thefts .
a woman who gone alone. a mother who search for longing. a leader became a thief and ended up in the clink.
now this woman is here and ashamed . now this mother is here and ready to tear. now this leader is here dishonored herself. for now she is fallen from grace for she was once a bandit queen.

(nice poem!)
Caitlin starred blandly at the girl, forcing herself not to give in to her empathy when she noticed the salty tears in Rava's eyes. "What I paid with was blood, not gold, so you cannot pay me back in kind. What I need you to do is follow orders," she cringed on the inside at the word. She hated it, but right now that was just the way it had to be, she gave an order and she needed Rava to follow it. "and my order was to lay low, get a legitimate job, and play nice nice for the authorities till they're off your tail. If you're worried about bandits finding you, then I suggest you don't do so good of a job as to become any sort of renowned prodigy. Surely you know of someone who could use an assistant? In the Theater district perhaps, or maybe the merchants district? You're human right? You could visit Mingo's shops and see if any of their merchanics are hiring."
(Mulven would hire her as an assistant, but it would be incredibly low pay since he's not really that special in the M.M. guild)
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. (well its ok but its not an outcome of laying low and becoming an assistant unless you have something planed , since she still a Rouge at heart and she may brake that order later on due to reasons of being possibly found by Bounty hunters, also she will still unable to gain any new skills until she reach a outcome that allows her to gain skills again as its a cost of laying low to be realistic) Rava stuttered , she didn't want to endanger someone else for her sake of getting a job , and with Caitlin suggesting that she know someone she was implying that she would ask her knight in shining back armor, a risky move which the though of turned her white with fear "but .. but i ... i...... " shacking she did not want to even dream to have her knight become bait for her to try and rescue him and end up with it all going south. she could just disappear but she was not one to disappear and stay in view of others, "is there... a way just for me to go away for a month or so .... to get off the radar instead.. then come back later... ?" she ask shaken

"No," Caitlin said sternly. "That would only be more suspicious. Look, Rava, this isn't going to be for very long, its a temporary cover-up for your real job with the BoR's. You are still one of us, we only bother rescuing our own people and we rescued you didn't we? I just need you to do something plain and simple, be a waitress at a diner if thats your only option just don't give the army any other reason to come snooping around the truth got it?"

(ok you know this will bite Caitlin back later on, call it a forshadowing of something to come , actions have Equal and Opposite Reactions , mahahaha *starts to plan the drama* )
Rava went silent ..... she had no other chosie , the most she could do was work as a waitress , atlest , that way everyone of impotent to her like her knight would be safe " yes....ok .... but if something happens to me , if you hear my clock tower ring ... you will know i need help ... got it .... "these where only strong words she had left ... as she teared up finally and broke out into tears , Caitlin finally broke in Rava's , she was now shattered as a mirror , a mirror now Caitlin may have to fix later on.

Oh dear, here we go. Caitlin didn't know what to do. Part of her wanted to hug the poor girl knowing that she'd already been through so much, but the other part of her didn't want to get too close, she needed her people to be strong and not dependent on her - in case anything ever happened and she was no longer around to lead them. Dismissing her trepidation she carefully approached the tearful Rava and wrapped her arm around the girl, her crutches and all.
"Don't cry, just think of it as a way to pass the time until you're back on your feet. Soon as you've healed up you can get back to your real job and doing what you love, I promise," Caitlin said to soothe her.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. as Caitlin hugged Rava all the inner pain , all the poor girl has been through as her tears run slowly faded as the kindness of a friend , no the kindness of someone who was more then just a friend, family who was once lost, a reminder of her once alive father, she spoke softly in tears "ok ... ... sister , i owe you my life ..... you saved my life so many times , when others wanted me dead, when money was offered for my death ......... you turn them down and away, .. even when i was not a part of the group.... i don't know if i will ever be able to repay but with only my life .. thank you"
that was the day she made her life oath to Caitlin as now she was now she owe her too much for saving her life.
as again history repeated itself from grandfather to her.
(pirate root has been unlocked as a result of Caitlin kindness her earned her Rava's full life oath, )

"You're welcome," Caitlin answered her. "Now get down from this tower before you fall. It can't be easy balancing your arms on those crutches with two broken legs that are no help at all. I hope you get better soon, and make sure to see one of our medics, I'd recommend Isaac down at the sea port. He can walk you through some physical therapy and get you back on your feet faster." That's pretty much it for this thread. I would send Isaac a note and ask him to do a physical therapy thread with you.
