Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
"I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible! And when I leave, you will finally understand why storms are named after people!" - Taryn, Nerf This
There are lots of symbolism here that I don't feel like explaining at the moment, but there are two things I will explain:
1) The faces in the back elude to two upcoming characters. 2) I know that this isn't exactly symmetrical, but I didn't feel like tweaking anymore after an hour or so.

Not sure I got the card 'style' right, but here is Clairee, description below kinda shows why
Temperance is described on the website Amon linked us to as follows: Portrayed as a woman with angel wings mixing up the water of two cups, one blue, the other red, the Temperance Arcana is a symbol of synthesis, prudence, harmony, and the merging of opposites.
Gameplay-wise, the Personas of the Temperance Arcana are often well-rounded Personas. Personas of the Temperance Arcana are mythological figures associated with balance and moderation. The Temperance Arcana is primarily home to mythological beasts rather than human figures.
Characters of the Temperance Arcana are often struggling to find a balance in their lives and in their hobbies.

Chose Hunger for Maeve, because she's so consumed Hunger/Lust for the life she wasn't allowed to be a part of when her mommy dumped her to start over with Clairee's dad.
On the one hand, the grass is always greener on the other side, On the other hand, fire rage passion and power consume her.
the guide Amon linked with the blank meme says the following about Hunger:
"The Hunger/Lust Arcana is not found in standard tarot decks. The Lust Arcana is the Thoth tarot equivalent of the Strength Arcana, numbered XI.
Hunger symbolizes the danger of losing control, of being consumed by power. The card also implies strength, but strength which comes through Dominance. It is not true power, but the pure bliss of abusing power."
I did this a while ago, forgot to upload. Tried to keep with some of the symbolism/whatnot off the original card. Kinda failed. I made Jak 'The Magician', for obvious reasons.

(I must admit that I kind of b.s.ed this one because I've been rather busy and haven't beena ble to just sit down and draw, but I really wanted to do this meme so here it is. )
"The Judgment Arcana, in tarot, is associated with realizing one's calling, gaining a deep understanding of life, and a feeling of acceptance and absolution.
In gameplay, the Judgement Arcana is commonly associated with a balance of Light and Darkness. Figures of the Judgment Arcana are usually related to Judgment Day myths, or are gods tied directly to the judgment of humankind. "
Iacomus, who was previously thinking about becoming a doctor, figured later that that was not really the type of occupation he wanted, and found his true calling. He is a nice person if you meet or talk to him, but he also gets the things he sells in rather unkind ways. He has a mixture of good and bad intentions.
I tried getting some of the symbols in the tarot card into Iacomus'. It tried to make it as if he is the person at the top of the official cards, and the person at the bottom of his (that he has either killed or simply found and taken the organs from) is like the people looking up in the official one. There is some other stuff too, but I've written so much already I don't think I will write any more.

Okay so I did this meme for each of my characters. I'm not so great at art and hopefully these will prove that to people and sorry I don't have a program that let's me work with transparency and layers, that's why these don't look the nicest. Oh and I have a thing for symbolism. Lotsssss of symbolism.
So I've been fighting with this for about half an hour and I can't get the images to attach, so I'm just going to post links and try and figure it out another day. Okay? okay.
Lasair Tarot It's hard to tell, but he's supposed to be splitting in half. The Lovers arcana represents being torn between two paths, as well as, well, lovers. I felt like it fit Lasair in both cases. And colors are fun :B
Max Tarot This one should be really obvious for anyone who knows Max. She's supposed to be that weird figure in the cage that's stuck to the clock. What's so special about 4 o'clock? It's a secret to everybody.
Edgar Tarot That smiling thing above him was supposed to be behind him, as a sort of shadow being cast by the magic fire. But my art skills didn't let that happen. Oh well I still like it. The Magician arcana represents hidden power and stuff, stuff that fits Edgar here. And who needs eyes anyway?
Gladys Tarot I had the most trouble with this one, can you tell? She's supposed to be holding the book up to her face. And then I just sorta didn't draw her body. The Priestess arcana represents untapped potential and womanhood stuff, and is usually represented with an open book.
If someone could help me turn these into images, it'd be much appreciated. Until then, the links will have to do.
On a more serious note, Vieka's entire character design was based of a phoenix, a god of death and rebirth. Inheriting her mothers power, it would have been the easy route to follow her destructive nature and destroy all in her path, but Vieka desires change, and took to healing instead. so despite being a little weary about taking the death tarot, i decided it fit too well not to use. besides, she runs around with a plague mask, y'know?
i also learned i cant digitally paint at all. sorry for making your eyes bleed.

XX - Judgement
The XX card represents Judgement Day for one and all. The seeds sown in The High Priestess are now ready for harvest. The Outcome of this Harvest and whether it is welcome or not depends upon what was sewn and where. It also depends on how it was tended and nurtured during the time of its incubation and growth. The harvest referred to in the Judgement card is the final outcome of the sum total of The Fool’s journey through the tarot. The Fool’s Journey is also a metaphor for our journey through life or a particular situation. It is the outcome of all our experiences, beliefs, attitudes and behaviour on our spiritual quest.
The figures depicted in the Judgement Card stand naked, reminding that when Judgement arrives it will no longer be possible to hide behind a facade, lies or pretence. All deeds, both good and bad will be exposed and laid bare before the higher powers and our higher self. Nothing can be hidden on judgement day.
"All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." - John Dalberg-Acton
Portrayed as a young woman holding up a terrifying beast, The Strength Tarot card represents strength, determination, and power in a manner similar to the Chariot. However, the differences between the two Tarot cards are obvious. Where the Chariot represents outer strength and will, the Strength card represents inner strength and the power of the human spirit to overcome any obstacle. The meaning of the Strength Tarot card is about knowing that you can endure life’s obstacles by drawing upon your inner strength and confidence.
(also this card was also inspired by Edelweiss card , as Eryn uses her strength to face the monster, she is Judged if she is doing right or wrong for using her strength. for every action that is done, can be judged.)
skills:
Telekinesis I & II, Aeromancy I, Cryomancy I, Pyromancy I, Gating I, Health I, Kinetics I-III, Toxins I, KF I-III, SF I & II, UC I, TW I
So, this is Sayvahn, or I guess, both Edelweiss' and Sayvahn's tarot card? >flops about< #don't judge me I tried
The Judgement Arcana, in tarot, is associated with realizing one's calling, gaining a deep understanding of life, and a feeling of acceptance and absolution.
In gameplay, the Judgement Arcana is commonly associated with a balance of Light and Darkness. Figures of the Judgment Arcana are usually related to Judgment Day myths, or are gods tied directly to the judgment of humankind. Personas of the Judgement Arcana are well-aware, quite intelligent and view the world with infinite possibilities. Most powerful when combining their intuition with their smarts, their thought process is among the most vast and realistic. Although the traditional British spelling of "judgement" is considered less common than the American spelling of "judgment" today, "Judgement" (capitalized as a proper name) is exclusively applied while referencing to the tarot arcana.
