Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Tyrell smiled shyly a the two. He had not meant to offend Clancy in the slightest and felt bad if he did but as they walked on, it seemed he hadn't with how chipper he still was. "I don't think she was a waitress. My employer referred to her as a lady and she did seem dressed rather well for a waitress," he clarified. Earlier he had missed the exchange of words concerning himself between the two but it had not bothered him in the slightest. When Agnes fell, the dark haired ander was a bit surprised then concerned. He moved over to help her up but then paused to allow Clancy to do so thinking this was likely better that he does so as he already felt he must be careful with how he acts around the woman they were with.
"I don't think the party will be until later so it means we can get something now and just go there later," suggested the crow and he looked out over the tops of most people's heads in the crowd for a potential place to eat. Spotting a store, he turned his attention back to the two. "Across the street, there's a small cafe sort of shop. Tea would be nice I think."
Amon's eye widened at Nikolai's gift. "Wow...I...Thank you Nikolai," replied Amon as he received the book. "I'm sorry, I really don't know what to say. Thank you. I'll keep good care of it." He opened up his mechanical forearm, and placed the booklet in an empty space, away from the gears. He closed up his arm, and tested out some movements. "That should be safe there for the time being," said Amon. "I'll need to put it in a safe place in my shop later. Thanks again, and take care of that fool of your's. Hope to see you in a bit."
After he watched the two brothers leave, he got up and started making his way through the crowds. "Well, might as well make my way towards Stephen's place, say hi for a bit, then make my way back," he muttered. He knew that if he returned to his shop, he wasn't gonna come out again for a while. Might as well enjoy this party for a little longer.

It was May, and Lodan's Jubilee had started with much excitement, applause and cheering from the crowds. Like every event of that size, the leader of CAEsAL had to make herself present - but today it was not her association opening the show. Today it was the day for a procession of blue, frenetic but stoic paced, as the EIRALs opnened the parade in their finest military attires. Merchents and entertainers were to come behind, representing culture and a more free form of amusement, but for the part that corcerned Edelweiss, there was no need for her to lead any parades; her workers were good workers and could make it so the EIRAL's gait would be followed by the best of their own without needing her to babysit them. Today, it was a day for her to relax and have fun, be just a face in the crowd without executing any shady task, no disguises and no pretenses - Not today. No need for being anything besides herself, and no need for the excuses that restricted her public wardrobe to almost only unisex suits. She was still wearing gloves, boots, pants and a jacket like usual, but the gloves had a thin lacey trim on the edges, and the pants were tight fit light fabric that just served as an 'just in case' layer hidden under her dress from since below her knees, and the white jacket framed her waist better and did nothing to hide the skirt. A simple but elegant, and still comfortable attire; yes, she liked it all thank you very much. Let the EIRALs have the spotlight for today, the shade would be her friend, and she had parties to attend and eat for free.
Her first thought was, of course, looking for anyone in the crowd she might know first, and maybe meet someone new. Everyone was in the streets today, it was a nice opportunity to meet friends. Probably not that drunk lad that passed by her, though; he seemed about to vomit on the first girl available. But she could swear there was a familiar face a bit ahead...

Large crowds meant people who wanted to be entertained and what better than a magician to do just that. Addison dressed himself in motley attire today and did his face with paint to play the role of a jester. Despite the sinister man beneath skin, Addison did love the act of dressing as others and donning a new identity no matter the situation to bring smiles to others' faces--even if he didn't care if someone dropped dead in front of him.
After the parade had passed and people began to trickle off to find other means of entertainment, the funner side of CAEsAL took to the streets as Addison was not the only one. Dressed in his unusual attire, he and several others meant to appear as something from a circus going about providing entertainment where ever people would stop to watch. The most common trick he loved to show off that earned him awed looks from kids was the ability to breath fire. Although he was an andersweltler capable of wielding magic and could perform this had he been skilled enough, magic was not required. A simple drink of a flammable liquid and a lighter was really all it was. While he was tasked to perform meaningless little magic tricks, others in the group he moved around with exploited attention in other ways by creating balloons of animals for the youngest of crowds, contorting their bodies in ways that others would have believed to be impossible, and etc. One could see on Addison's face that he was enjoying himself as he knelt down beside a little girl and boy, drawing a coin from behind the boy's ear to give it to him, and to conjure a flower that he then presented to the little girl.
As the others continued on catching the attention of the crowd, Addison took a moment to stand back and relax, removing his jester's hat to relieve his overheating head. Down the street he spotted a familiar head of orange though he couldn't quite place it. With a relaxed, neutral expression, he continued to eye the woman as she drew closer and then his brows shot up in surprise. Was... was that Edel? She looked so different! But it wasn't like he was one to judge. The magician took a glance at the group he had been with before moving to intercept Edel. Like with the girl previously, he produced a rose seemingly from nowhere but she'd probably know better that it had come from his sleeve. "Good day, Madame, you look very lovely if I should be so kind," he said as he offered her the rose and placed his hat back on his head.
He looked amazing? The comment caught him totally off guard. He was expecting...well didn't really know what he'd been expecting, but it certainly wasn't that. His brain went into overdrive even as his pulse increased and his face began turning the shade of a ripe tomato. Was it getting hotter out? Embarasement was the first thing that hit him, but he was a military man. He knew how to maintain his composure. Never let them see your doubt, never let them see your true emotions. The words of an old instructor who had been killed in the war.
Still, as the heat faded from his cheeks, he was left with a pleasent smile that seemed to form almost naturaly. Too bad it was in such sharp contrast to the frown he'd become so acustomed to. "And you look beautiful, but then you always do. More so when we first met." he said as his thoughts got ahead of his mouth. She had seemed freer when they had first met, and now, with all the silks and other finery, she seemed weighed down. The uniform worked for him, because that's who he was, but was this outfit she now found herself in the real her? What had she been doing that whole time her father had been looking for her?
Now he just needed to figure out what to say next. There was so much he wanted to tell her, or make her understand, but all of that seemed to get scrunched up into a ball inside of him.

Agnes grabbed Clancy's hand and stood up. "Thank you. Aaaaand okay, we can go to that party, if you say it's good..." She said, but she noticed that Tyrell also wanted to help her. When she heard Tyrell's idea she got happy. "Tea? Of course every day every time!" She clapped her hands. Her favourite drink was tea especially earl grey. She felt a little bit better about Tyrell. "But if it isn't a matter for you, Clancy..." But she has already went to the door of the shop. She looked at the ground because she noticed she acted weird and unpleasant so she just laughed nervously. It's okay she thought I just like these things too much. It isn't weird... I hope..

Oh so that was who it was, Edel thought when she could finally recognize the man in jester clothes as being Addison. Well no wonders on why she had taken a while to notice who he was, he had already proven beforehand that he had a real talent for wearing costumes no matter the kind - and the thought still amused her up to this day.
She chuckled a little when he offered her a rose, but accepted it; yes she knew where it came from, but it was still a nice gesture nonetheless. "And you make a dashing jester yourself, as well. Enjoying the day so far?"

"Why thank you," he replied with a small grin and a cock of his head causing the bells of his hat to tinkle just the slightest. Addison then moved aside to allow her to continue to walk and gestured her forward so they both could continue to walk. "There's a few of us--well now them, there," he pointed to their fellow co-workers now retreating further into the crowd. Among them were Emily, who was a gifted contortionist; Quincy, he specialized with greater illusions acted on people; Adams, another contortionist; Andrew, who made the small balloon animals; and Cynthia, who delved into most everything."As for how I am enjoying the day? Well, it makes for quite easy pay. What of yourself, how has it been treating you thus far? Have you perhaps already taken part of the food, drinks, tours of manors...?" The magician was actually quite curious as he looked to her then added on. "How come you are walking all alone anyhow?"

Surprise registered on her face, and then she shook it off, finally coming to her senses. His remark made her quirk a little smile. "I don't know commander, should I be insulted that I am less beautiful today than I was a few months ago?" She wasn't insulted, and she didn't mind if it were true. He knew a few ugly truths in her life that would have tainted the way he looked at her now. If he knew a few more... well, he wouldn't bother looking at all, which is why she had to be careful he never learned the rest of her secrets. "I actually came to ask a favor of you, but, its kind of private. Can we go somewhere and talk?" She bit her lip and waited to see if he would humor her, and knowing even if he did, chances of her getting her way were slim to none once he knew what she was after.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
"Ya never 'eard'a Lady Cockfoster? Ol' Baron Cockfoster's girly? Ya know who the Baron is, don'tcha? Everyone in the cities' at least 'eard'a 'im. Well, couple months back 'is girly was missin' an' 'e was puttin' up flyers with rewards an' everythin'. 'round tha' time, I found 'er out in the woods lookin' fer one'a 'er friends. Some stuff 'appened an' I got em back ta the city. Soon after tha', I was abducted an' Bosk tried ta pass me off as the girly to 'er daddy. Didn' work too well, but 'ey, guess 'e gets points fer tryin'." After completely ignoring her statement to not answer her question Danny tugged the woman through the crowd as he wove his way between people, never once actually touching them.
"So, Maeve, whatcha wanna do? We could go an' see some'a the nobley 'ouses. I know a couple folks'd say 'ey to us, mebbe let us get a lil further in than most folks." Danny grinned at the woman. "S'prised? I'm friends with some nobley types! Oh! Or I could take'ya ta one'a my favorite lookout spots, if ya wanna get away from the crowds. Or, if ya wan', I could even introduce ya ta the Big Boss'a the army! We met a couple times, but I don' think we're friends. Acquaintances mebbe?" Danny nodded his head as he found a clearing to await her reply.
Man, if she kept hanging around this kid she'd know everything about everyone within the day. "You do sure seem quite acquainted for someone who can't seem to figure out which gender to dress for," She teased quietly. She didn't think anyone besides Danny could hear her as low as she was speaking. "Anyone of these fancy pants you trying to evade by dressing yourself that way? Or are the slacks an item of necessity for climbing those trees out in the woods?" She looked around where they had stopped to stand. Finally some elbow room, but it wasn't elbow room she was really needing. Her belly grumbled.
"How bout we find one of them nobley houses you mentioned and swipe a crumb or two to eat." She turned the itinerary back over to Danny's apparently very well connected hands.

"They're kinda required." Danny nodded once before he again grabbed Maeve's hand and began weaving his way through the crowd. "Le's stop by the Leland's place then. Charles Leland's a new noble ta the city. 'E used ta be a big war 'hero before moving' 'ere an' using' 'is money ta establish 'imself as a member a the nobility. 'e's big an' jovial, loves talkin' 'bout 'imself. 'Is son's a lil more tolerable. Stephen Leland. Wisp of'a kid compared ta 'is dad, but the kid's smart. 'e's egotistical, elitist, an' a snob, but 'e flusters easy. If 'e gives ya any trouble, lemme 'andle it. If ya wanna get on the kid's good side, talk disdainfully 'bout the common rabble an' ask 'I'm 'bout 'is books. If ya can carry on the conversation, even better, but 'e'll enjoy jus' talkin' 'bout books." Danny squeezed his way into the Leland's property and started looking around. "Oh, don' ask Stephen 'bout 'is eye." Danny began wandering the property hunting for the younger Leland. "I'll get Stevie ta get us somethin' special for jus' you an' me."
Skye was obviously flustered by her first comment as he stammered to back out of his mistep in words. It wasn't like him to be flustered by anyone, but perhaps that was only when bullets were flying and steel was clanging against steel. "Oh, no...that's not what I meant. I just...you seemed happier before, like...I don't know...like you weren't putting on a mask with all this finery....if that makes sense." he shook his head, thinking he'd just dug a deeper hole, and was about to excuse himself when she asked if they could go somewhere private to discuss a favor.
If it was a simple favor, he would, of course, grant her whatever she wished. Perhaps that would steer her away from that William fellow and help build on some sembelence of friendship. Or perhaps more...if that was what he actually wanted. Could he want something more? If anything fate seemed to throw a wrench into things whenever they were together, or whenever he tried to help. She was a noblewoman whose father had told him to stay away. He was already tempting the man's wrath just by being here right now.
"Yes, of course, wherever you'd like to go." He said, despite his thoughts. His brain may have been telling him to run, but he wasn't listening to his brain right now. He offered her an arm as his subordinates looked on from the back, whispering to each other.

Charles was in the main living room, boisterously greeting all his guest. The main living room was very large, holding many chairs and sofa's for the guests to rest on along with tables to place their drinks and food on. A grand piano which was pouring pleasant music from the corner of the room. In the dinning room the 10 foot table was covered with foods of all sorts: desserts, small horderves, fruit and vegetable plates, larger more filling entrées- there was a whole section dedicated to Charles's favorite food, leeks- and there was a whole separate table dedicated to drinks of all kinds. Charles enjoyed going all out for parties and their head chief loved nothing more than to show off his skills in the kitchen.
Stephen was guarding his library with a watchful eye. The room was one of the larger areas of the house; A simple wooden desk was situated in the middle of the wide space that was surrounded by book cases lined against the wall along with a few chairs placed around the room. There were few ornamental items in this room, unlike the rest of the extravagant house. Everything was neatly in place and clean except for two books on the desk. The desk chair was presently being occupied by the grumpy patrician. Very few people where in this room, for good reason too. Those who dared to enter the one eyed noble's "lair" were welcomed with a ice cold stare from a disdain filled grey-blue eye.
Amon mulled his way through the crowd, doing his best to avoid contact with any Anders on his way to Stephen's place. Along the way, he thought he saw Clancy enter a shop with a girl and a guy in tow. Just as he past the shop, he felt a slight surge along his arm. Looking around, he finally spotted Caitlin chatting with the somewhat flustered leader of the Army. "...Caitlin...? Haven't seen her since the Baron's Masquerade...and her subsequent 'kidnapping'..." thought Amon, as he continued making his way through the crowd, avoiding the young Baroness and her blushing company.
When he finally got to Stephen's place, it was plenty crowded. "Yeesh...quite the party happening..." muttered Amon. Pushing his way through the crowd, he was having second thoughts, when an idea occurred to him; an idea he hated, but the benefits of which outweighed the cons. "Alright, let's see if I can locate Charles in this mess..." thought Amon, when he heard a booming laughter not too far away. "That was fast," he thought with a smile. (Hope I'm not god-modding wanting to visit Charles, Stephen ;^; )

"After all preparations I usually consider the Jubilee of every year to be a day off for me, and it's been quite pleasant so far. Hmm, and it looks like Andrew has learned a few new tricks with the balloons." The redhead commented in a light tone, pausing to watch the others for a second once Addison had mentioned them. "Well, for better or for worse, my job comes with pants on and decent dating offers are not frequent when half of Lodan's population thinks I'm a guy," She explained frankly when he asked why she was walking all alone, but didn't seem to be particularly bothered by that fact. It was just one of those things that were part of her life and of herself, and so normal to her it would be silly to mind it; it never stopped her from making friends either. Truth to be told, since she was small she came to all Lodan's Jubilees along her parents and the habit remained as one of those rare, blessed occasions where she still had a comely amount of contact with her mother; but good ol' Rose had managed to get a cold that morning, so Edelweiss came on her own anyway. "but talking of now, I'm not exactly walking alone anymore, right?" asked with a chuckle as she gestured to him while he kept walking beside her.
Another face the redhead would be happy to see was Caitlin's, and she still had the clear memory of every party offered by the pirate friend was a blast (literally in case of the last one Edel had witnessed). But as far as news gone around from the newpapers and people's talks she knew Cait should be passing through a hard time, and Edelweiss' sensible side forbade her from inviting herself into the Cockfoster's mansion without meeting Cait in person first and talking to her to know how she was faring. But that didn't mean there wasn't anywhere Edel wasn't feeling fond of going to right then. "As for the parties, that's something I've been looking forward. Hard to choose a single place, though... since you're currently accompanying me, how about we pay a visit to a certain friend and his ornamental eyepatch?" And check if Stephen would make any funny surprised faces alike to Addison's for seeing her in a skirt. And she was also rather curious about the reaction to having someone waltzing into a noble manor in jester clothes. Oh yes, Lodan's Jubilee is and will forever be her favorite holiday.
