Event last till Midnight, May 31st and is worth event EMP points
This May marks the passage of a very special anniversary; that of a fortuitous settlement becoming a declared municipal in its own efficacious right! It is the passing of Lodan's 300th Jubilee since it was established in 1589. Every year on this special occasion the haves and have-nots matter little! It is a time for community cookouts, elaborate parties, fireworks, and estate balls vying for attention in the Central Square. It is a banquet of decadence, a chance for Lodan to flaunt it's prestige in celebration of the power and ingenuity that made it the capital of the nation. For that reason, it is often overcrowded with tourist, just as eager as the citizens to participate in the gala.
Everything kicks off with street parades lead by the EIRALs in their Full Dress uniforms, showcasing the greatness of their military power in droves. Noble houses of the gentry open their common rooms for entertaining, which usually includes: the drawing room, music room, dining room and breakfast room, the library or study (depending on your hosts generosity or willingness to risk theft for the sake of boasting his collection), the gallery (where ancient family portraits are often hung), the billiard room (if one exists), and the conservatory. Public lawns and gardens opposite of the iconic gears fountain are laid out for promenading; so anyone may ride or walk through the parklands to view picturesque follys or dine alfresco, take tea in good weather, paint or play gentlemanly sports.
There is no shortage of places to be, people to see, or things to do. Despite the fanciful practice, everyone is invited to partake no matter what their walk of life.
And I'm glad you're here to witness it, because the street parades are just about to start!
