Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Eh, seems like more'n more people're getting' stupid out in the woods. I actually ended up savin' Lady Cockfoster then younger an' one' her workers when they got lost out there. Might' jus' turn it inta "Was a business an' start charging' if people keep goin' out there." Danny paused for a moment. "Was better 'er brothers weren't there. We'd 'ave thirteenan graves instead'a people. Easier ta lose somethin'thin' if ya ain' a big target. I'm good, but not that good." Danny looked up into the sky. "Ya wanna 'ang out? I ain' got nuthin' ta do, an' seems like year broodin's done 'cause she up an' left. C'mon, le's go enjoy the fun, eh?" Danny stood up then and reached out in an attempt to tug Maeve to her feet.
There was no mistaking the sound of machinery coming from behind them. "Well...that was fast," he said, turning to face Nikolai. He paused, considered the clockwork doll's disguise, then gave a low whistle. "I gotta hand it to ya, Viktor, you did a great job with Nikolai's disguise," he said. He lowered the doll's scarf a bit. "What did you use for his 'skin'...? On second thought, I'll ask you about that later...probably won't be able to answer in your state." He moved the scarf up to its original position, then gave Nikolai a grimacing smile. "Sorry about intruding on your space Nikolai. Could you give us a hand in moving your brother to a place that he can recover? Fool partied himself out too fast, too soon...the night's barely begun." He walked back to Viktor and began to help him up. "C'mon buddy, let's get you some place where you can rest up. The sooner you get better, the sooner you can party some more." With Nikolai accounted for, the party atmosphere was getting to Amon again.
Perhaps this wasn't so bad after all...

Stephen pinched the bridge of his nose. The fool could not even remember if he had eaten. Amon showed up shortly after; thankfully he would not have to deal with the drunk alone. At Amon's request he frowned "I am no errand boy. I refuse to be sent off to look for him! He's a clockwork doll for Queen's sake, he will probably find us anyways." At that he turned to see Nikolai approach them. "See, what did I say" he said with an annoyed sniff. Rolling his eyes he went to assist Amon with Viktor, draping the redhead's arm around his neck with a slight grimace "Here, I will help you with him for a bit. We need to get him some food and lots to drink. No doubt he will be in a big huff at us if he missed a party because we sent him home early. I am guessing that he enjoys this kind of entertainment a little too much" he muttered under his breath.
"Huh, no friends? Well, I guess we are both kinda on the same boat! My name's Clancy Fuchs!" he said in a cheery voice, extending his hand out to her "I just moved here! I'ma merchanic down in the merchant's district. My shop's gonna be opening up soon but I thought i'd stop workin' fer a second and go and celebrate with everyone else! I don't know, this festival might turn out fun! It all depends on who yer gonna celebrate it with! Would ya like to join me? Maybe if we're lucky we might find ourselves a pair or good lookin' guys tonight! Romance usually happens at events like this ya? I'ma see if I can find tall, dark, and handsome who I met a few nights ago." he gave her a wink with a cocky grin. If he was gonna make friends he might as well be straight out about who he was.

Tyrell frowned as the pink haired man must've not heard him and it was hard to blame him. All around them were people cheering, the parade going on, the sound of airships above. It was no matter and Tyrell did not concern himself with it so he made his way between the shoving crowd as people began to all make way from the lawn where the soldiers would be. By how excited these people were, he figured they must either be family or children who thought these soldiers represented glory. He could not help but smile at their own mirth as he approached Clancy. Again he tried calling out to the lad and his companion as he came closer. "Clancy! ... Uh, hello. I'm not interrupting am I?" He asked as his eyes went to Agnes. "Hello," he repeated again, quieter, but with a smile.
"Hey babygirl, where's the fellas? Don't tell me you're out here all on your lonesome." asked Adel in his usual loud and boisterous tone.
"S'cuse me..." he muttered, in an impossible to hear voice thanks to the blaring music and cheers. Adelheid began introducing his friends to Clairee immediately after.
"Oh, right. These are the guys I wrote ya about. Bregor over there. Son of Gregor. Gotta say that part or he gets antsy." chuckled Adel as he slapped a hard hand on Bregor's back, who glared at him in kind. "And here's Roan. He's just Roan. Not the son of some big shot soldier... or maybe he is. He's our resident medic. Say hi Roan."
Darn it Adel... thought Roan as his face grew more red. "Hi." he deadpanned.
Calen shoved his way through a flock of squealing teenagers, convinced that the area flooded with the most ravenous cheering would be the area closest to where the commander and his lackies were. "Nice threads kids. I feel left out, wearing just my civ clothing." said Calen through a devilish grin. Adelheid looked at Calen and rolled his eyes. "Uh... this is Calen. I told you about him already... remember the Festival of Hearts?" asked Adelheid, sure that his sister wold remember the scuffle he wrote about in his letter to her.
Clairee shrugged her shoulders "You know the guys, the older ones are here with their wives, the oldest with his kids, and the younger ones like you and me... they're chasing skirts, pssh." She tried to sound reprimanding with her voice like velvet but the big grin on her face said she didn't mind looking after herself here. "You look sharp Adel. You ironed and everything, I'm impressed!" He smiled and went on to introduce her to his friends. They were just as she'd imagined them to be based on his letters. Roan was taller than she'd expected. Not particularly tall, he was 5'7" but compared to her 5'2" and the timid description Adel had provided her with, he seemed somehow larger than she would have thought... or perhaps it was the uniform giving him added stature. "Hi, I'm Clairee, best I give you my name since my boneheaded brother would just as soon have you all believe my name is baby-girl."
Then someone new shoved his way into the circle of dress blues and tittered about feeling left out in his civ clothing. She tilted her head sideways and regarded him. Adel quickly added the underdressed soldier to his introductions and Clairee provided her hand for a shake. "Calen, right yes of course. And don't get too jealous of the other boys, you look handsome enough in your civs as is. Would be unfair to tempt the lady-folk by suiting you up like your pals." She flirted lightly, but she remembered the story, had seen it with her own eyes though she didn't confess that part since her brothers were all under the impression she had stayed home during the festival. What luck would a girl have finding a date with as many older brothers as she had, looming over her shoulder each February? Not that it made a difference this year, but it was nice to shake them and do a little eye-witnessing of her own. She wondered if it would get Adel's knickers in a twist if she flirted with the army's resident bad boy. She wasn't really interested in Calen, she didn't go for flunkies, but it was fun to watch her brother sweat it a little.

"Bunch o'... Bunch o' foam latex and gelatin... shome other stuff," Viktor stumbled over his words and moved over to throw himself against Nikolai for support. The doll seemed to sigh but then looped an arm around Viktor's waist to keep his foolish charge from collapsing. "Think nothing of it, Amon," NK-5 resonded. He had not minded that the other mechanic was curious what was beneath his scarf. When he processed the information his eyes had sent to his database of his appearance, he himself could not help but be outstanded by the humanistic look he now possessed. "I must wear something over my mouth since my lips do not move. That is what the scarf is for. If you both should wish to continue with your own entertainment then I will take over watch of him from here and this time he will not leave my sight." Viktor slumped against Nikolai then rested his head on the doll's shoulder. "But... but more drinksh and food. Sh-Shtephen shaid there'd be food and drinks." When the red head was done he hiccuped and Nikolai only stared down at his charge before answering. "What good would that do you? Won't you only project it back out in a form of mush?"

Throughout the walk of the parade, Lorraine kept quiet despite that her comrade beside her tried to stir up conversation. When High Commander Skye looked back it silenced him and Lorraine couldn't help but smirk at the embarrassment he must have felt. The people at the rails were an interesting spectacle but she could not find a familiar face among them. Finally, they were lead around to the lawn near the fountain where they disbanded. Free to roam, Lorraine led Felix off toward the outskirts of her gathered brothers and sisters, choosing to just watch them reunite with family and friends.

"Who the hell is lady Cockfoster?" Maeve asked bluntly, then shook her head. "Nevermind, don't answer that." She accepted the kids hand and stood to her feet. "Sure, you're a likable sort, I'd be happy to hang out with you today." She smiled and brushed off her coat. It was too damned hot to be dressed in it, but her clothes were so moth eaten that she didn't dare take the extra layer off.

Agnes shook hands with Clancy, but she felt a little but unpleasant, because the boy talked a lot. "Y-yeah... I guess... And why not.. I can join to you. I'm just a crafter who makes guns and weapons, but I'm pretty bad. But this night could be fun. Maybe." She grinned, and then she noticed Tyrell. He wasn't sympathetic for her. Actually now there were two new people who were stangers for her. "Hello..." She mumbled to Tyrell but she stepped back one when she noticed that these two are probably friends.
"Miss Blackmoore," Faolan spoke as he approached the girl. He had watched her move away from the others as the formation broke up. He was in disapproving instructor mode at the moment, but even so, he found it odd that she would move so far away from the others. She had skill, and she was certainly attractive, so how was it that she was out here instead of meeting with friends and varying admirers. There were not many woman within the EIRAL, this did tend to cause the sharks to circle. Though it was just as possible that they were abound, but had already been chased off by her fox....What was the creatures name? Ah, Felix, yes. Skye had already received a number of reports from those wishing to challenge his decision to allow the "pet," as they put it, to stay with Lorraine. He'd less then politely insinuated what they could do with their opinions on the matter. Of course, he would never trouble her with such frivolities.
"I noticed you were somewhat late to formation. Any particular reason?" he was tempted to add a smile to the statement, but he kept his features stern. He waited for her explanation, completely expecting her to toss out some quickly concocted story. He'd heard all the excuses, but it was still fun to hear people try them.
Vladov Russ surveyed the parade grounds where the Army had finished their display and almost cracked a smile. Almost. It felt good to be with Brothers once more. Vladov noticed the Commander and Miss Blackmoore in discussion, probably about her tardiness, and noticed the dark skinned medic... who was he again? Ah, right. Mister Everette. The man who'd skipped out on joining them for training. Vladov shook his head as he watched the man and his friends. Giant Russ, near head and shoulders above everyone in the area, was at a loss. He'd never been very good in social situations and this one was no exception. Combined with the fact that he was a foreigner and still didn't know the entirety of the city and the big man was at a loss. So he remained where he'd finished standing. His Squad-Brothers were gone, either to party or to meet with their families.

"Ya never 'eard'a Lady Cockfoster? Ol' Baron Cockfoster's girly? Ya know who the Baron is, don'tcha? Everyone in the cities' at least 'eard'a 'im. Well, couple months back 'is girly was missin' an' 'e was puttin' up flyers with rewards an' everythin'. 'round tha' time, I found 'er out in the woods lookin' fer one'a 'er friends. Some stuff 'appened an' I got em back ta the city. Soon after tha', I was abducted an' Bosk tried ta pass me off as the girly to 'er daddy. Didn' work too well, but 'ey, guess 'e gets points fer tryin'." After completely ignoring her statement to not answer her question Danny tugged the woman through the crowd as he wove his way between people, never once actually touching them. "So, Maeve, whatcha wanna do? We could go an' see some'a the nobley 'ouses. I know a couple folks'd say 'ey to us, mebbe let us get a lil further in than most folks." Danny grinned at the woman. "S'prised? I'm friends with some nobley types! Oh! Or I could take'ya ta one'a my favorite lookout spots, if ya wanna get away from the crowds. Or, if ya wan', I could even introduce ya ta the Big Boss'a the army! We met a couple times, but I don' think we're friends. Acquaintances mebbe?" Danny nodded his head as he found a clearing to await her reply.

She smiled and waved as Tyrell parted ways. Quickly afterwards she pushed her way to the public lawns where a crowd had already formed. It wasn't easy making her way through, even with her tough skin as a pirate, there were just some people who couldn't be budged in all their excitement. She had to work her way around the long way but eventually she found enough space to shoulder through. Once she reached the commander she drew up short. She had expected him to be surrounded by important people, or humoring the admiring faces of little kids as they chattered about how awesome he was. Instead he was alone save for a beautiful young recruit speaking with him.
A strange stab of jealousy needled her gut but she put it on ice. For one thing, she was not 'with' the commander, in fact they were hardly on speaking terms, and if she was 'with' anyone it was Will the head of Mingos... not that she'd seen much of him since the festival when he'd kissed her. For another thing, this girl was clearly his subordinate and even Caitlin knew you didn't court your subordinates. Not only because it was a rule in legitimate organizations such as the army, but also because it would just beg for trouble among the ranks. Of course there were occasions where rules were broken. There were no written rules about it in the Brotherhood but so far she'd never been tempted to invite that kind of trouble on herself or her crew.
It took a moment, but she was able to mentally tug the needle from her gut and coax away its lingering effects. It doesn't help that the soldier is so pretty, Caitlin thought. She waited aloof for them to wrap up their conversation, not wanting to intrude on something important. Still it was a challenge to keep her feelings in check. They were feelings she had no reason to feel. None.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin

Lorraine had watched people pass by from her squad in order to join the festival. One member of her squad could even be seen with his wife and baby girl who he never stopped talking about. However, her attention was soon drawn away from her comrades when she heard someone calling her name. While Felix circled around her legs, her eyes fell on the commander and she properly saluted him. "Yes, sir?" She knew why he sought her out and it was best sooner than later she thought. When he asked she at least had the decency to look ashamed but she was not one for excuses. Despite she having stayed up late to read up on old but effective strategies she knew she'd no right to offer it as reason. "Sir," she began. "I am afraid I have no proper excuse for if I did it would be just that. I apologize and it shall not happen again." She met his eyes to speak and although she would have smiled she refrained so that her words would be taken seriously as it was not proper conduct within the military.
Lorraine's eyes were then drawn from High Commander Skye to Lady Caitlin who had just approached them. Felix knew the commander already from their first meet but in a crowd of new faces having one come near was exciting to him so he strayed just a ways from Lorraine in order to sniff at the lady. "Down, boy," she called to him softly and the fox stepped away from her. Although she did not personally know this woman she knew of who she was and now looking between both the commander and baroness she had to wonder. If the commander was not done speaking to her now then she figured they would be soon. Quietly she spoke, "permission to speak, sir, but it appears there is someone here to speak with you."
