Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"...Pardon?" Rose half-asked with a curious, confused look as Aida proceeded to direct (some quite unexpected) compliments at her. She had pretty much partially ranted her thoughts aloud with that last bit of what she had stated, and by consequence she also couldn't really think of anything that might have been the cause of the blonde girl's reaction - if the cause was in fact something she had spoken.
Well, the only way to know for sure was asking. "Was it something I said?"

Sienna nodded at their words and kindness and stood up, clutching her fish while Mingo ghosted along side her. It seemed they wished for her to lead, for her to move on her own rather than continuing her path of least resistance. It's not that she didn't want to it was just hard sometimes to do as she pleased when Clarence had dictated her every move. Had it been possible he might have controlled when she breathed.
But she was walking, slowly but at the very least with some purpose and a small twinge of confidence.
It wasn't much, but they got Sienna to lead them. At least she was trying; Amon couldn't help but smile slightly.
That was, until the street suddenly became very crowded.
There was no telling how or where this sudden surge of people came from, but with this many people, there were way too many chances for something to go wrong.
"Hey...Sienna..." Amon started, gently tapping her shoulder. "Maybe we should turn around and find another rou-"
"Why hello there~" One of the stall owners had suddenly popped up next to them. When did they get so close?
"No thank you, we're good," Amon said, trying to cut the seller off and divert their group to a different direction. Besides, even with the amount of people around them, this guy's cologne was really stro-
Oh no.
"Oh come now," the seller said, side stepping to block their path. "We have a wonderful selection of dresses for your lovely dates~" he continued, gesturing at a selection of dresses, picking out a bright red one in particular.
"Maybe later," Amon said, now urgently trying to get their group away as he recognized the guy's cologne.

Where did that flurry of people come from? Was there a sale of expensive things or chocolates being given for free somewhere around? ...If that second hypothesis is true she might try checking on it at some point. But later. It was far too crowded for Sienna, mainly with the amount of red wares everywhere and that annoying vendor in particular having set his greedy eyes on them - and as of right now they had to take the obviously traumatized girl somewhere quieter.
"Let's go... I know at least one place that won't be crowded." A certain closed toyshop a couple blocks from there... Although that was only if they manage to slip past that human avalanche first.

Sienna was leading the way more or less as they walked, their goal being the carousel. But a salesman intervened, cutting her off. She stopped abruptly, planning to go around. But the smell wafting off of him held her in place as she stared vacantly at a the red dress he was I trying to sell. It almost instantaneous. One second she was with her friends the next she was in that room, trapped beneath her unwanted lover. She took a shaky step back, thinking her friends were there but a crowd waded through, cutting her off from them. In truth they were right there but the sea of faces was disorienting in her state of paranoia.
Her breaths came in and out in a relentless, sporadic pace. She couldn't move, she couldn't breath, she felt like she had earlier, only worse as a crowd of people pulled her into their current. Panic rising she tried to latch onto something, anything. Her small gloved hands tugged anxiously onto an arm. The recipient stranger was hardly caring, if anything he was disgusted and shoved her away roughly and uttered vulgar words as she fell away.
She stumbled along, tripping, landing against a tent which she quickly slipped under and curled up tight as she fought through her frightened tears. She'd lost her friends and she was utterly useless without them. The woman still didn't understand why they continued to deal with her. Rocking back and forth she tried to calm herself down while also being frustrated that she was like this.
"Of course..." Amon muttered, his irritation rising as the crowd suddenly swelled, separating them from Sienna. "Edel, we need to-"
"Sir, could I inter-"
"No thank you," Amon growled, shoving his hand into the man's face and tasing his second person that day. Thankfully, the poor man collapsing, along with Mingo snapping at pretty much anyone in the vicinity helped to make the crowd move around them like a rock in a river, just enough to catch a glimpse of their frightened friend duck under a tent.
"I'll take care of Mingo, could you get Sienna?" he asked, a mixture of concern and apologetic on his face. "We'll follow you soon."
"Oi! Mingo! Calm down buddy...we need to get you to Sienna!" he exclaimed, trying to simultaneously calm down and grab the bird's attention.

"Sie?" This was worrisome. They were right there, but still Sienna kept looking side to side at the crowds with that disoriented panicked look until escaping from the redhead's field of view on her own. They'd surely have to take her home, or at the very least somewhere else that wouldn't stress her so much. So she just nodded to Amon and instantly turned to go after the dark-skinned girl. "Sie, it's ok, we're here." She crouched down to find her friend rocking back and forth almost hidden by a random tent, and reached a hand to her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down a bit. "Would you rather go home, or somewhere closer with less people would be better?"
And also... "Can you stand up?" If she can, she would just offer an arm for Sienna to do so and guide her by the hand to somewhere with less people as quick as possible. If she can't, the redhead would be carrying her, nevermind that it would be a much easier and less awkward a task if Edelweiss herself wasn't also wearing a dress. Either way so be it. Amon would need to be quick and fulfill his promise of catching up to them, with luck on whatever is it he was doing to calm Mingo down back there. Having him getting lost from them as well while still guiding Sienna away would not be fun.

Mingo was a valiant knight, doing his best to scatter the crowd but his pet still ran off, spooked and afraid. So he stayed to help Amon, jabbing his angry beak at what he could, his massive wingspan buffeting and swatting anyone who crossed his path. Once he calmed down a bit and returned to the man he was sporting a shred of fabric he'd liberated from someone's wardrobe. A trophy to give to his pet to prove he would always protect her.
Sienna snapped out of her tremors to stare at Edel a little before nodding and standing up, though she did use her to steady herself once she did. Her episode was short lived and once her sanity took hold once more she felt silly and childish, upsetting her further. She hated being like this.
Did she need to go somewhere more quiet and less crowded? Yes. But did she want to? No. She was so tired if having to duck k and cower, tired of her nerves and anxieties. Even as her knees shook beneath her dress in fear she still didn't wish to give in.
“No, I w-want to ride t-the c-carousel.” She'd insist, gritting her teeth as she fought her fears down. Stumbling a bit she led the way back to Amon and Mingo whom she latched onto, pulling the bird into a loose hug. “Thank y-you.” She'd say while looking to Amon so he knew she appreciated his help as well with the crowd and the rude salesmen.
"...Alright then..." Amon sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'll commend you for your drive, but don't push yourself too hard," he continued, squatting down to her level.
"Concentrate on taking deep breaths...we'll move when you are ready...there is no rush," he said with a small smile, offering a hand to stabilize her.
"Relax...we're here for you..."

Edelweiss had already been set on (or resigned to, depending on the point of view) taking them out of there and head somewhere the Festival's chipper noise and crowds wouldn't reach, and yet Sienna still stuck with her prior request of riding the caroussel despite her own panicked state of just a minute before. The redhead didn't know what to feel or say about that.
"Very well..." She took a deep breath. Thankfully she hadn't needed to find something to say in the end, Amon had resumed it well. She could only hope Sienna would heed the advice. And after that there wasn't much to be done other than waiting for the dark-skinned girl to lead the way again.

Sienna nodded mutely at the advice and released her hold on Mingo who didn't step away, staying close by as she finally started to walk once more. She rested a hand on the bird, using him a bit like a cane to some extent but didn't bear too much weight on him. It was in this way that she managed to cross the rest of the distance to the carousel. She didn't walk to far ahead of the other two, finding some semblance of peace for the moment now that everything had settled down. She was going to get better, it was just going to take a while.
Oh goodness. Fanning herself faster now, Aida tried not to break character as she smiled. “Indeed. Um, well, you just have a strong personality. Which, many” also known as I—“would find attractive. And what you said about Amon is— um, how do I say, um, strong. And I admire the way that you say it. With nothing holding back.” Aida tried to laugh, but it came out strained. “Boy, is it hot out here? I think it is rather hot,” the younger feline (wow, now that was a change) coughed. What else was she to say? What should she say? Goodness, she wished that Edelweiss would appear, save her in some sort of fashion, or even Edgar or Lasair or anyone for goodness sake. This was turning into an embarrassing situation with every moment.

"I'm just a mother." Rose sighed. "There's no mother who doesn't worry about her daughter, no matter how unnecessary said daughter may think it is." Or well, there was no good mother who didn't care about her children at least. A bad mother might not do it. But the redhead woman didn't think that was really being strong; it was just a normal part of life.
About it being hot, she could only shrug while the guild children's reactions varied between confusion, amusement and strangeness. The weather was slowly warming up compared to the stronger months of winter as springtime approached, but the day didn't feel particularly hot for any of them... Maybe Aida had worn a couple layers too many in her outfit and was getting a slow cook by her own clothes.
