Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

His mind froze up as he understood her suggestion, unsure of what to make of it. Someone offering to be a sibling in his life? That had never happened before, not even vaguely. Most guys stayed clear of Lasair, although the reason why he wasn’t quite sure of, and most girls were too stuck in the romance tract to ever consider moving out of it. But he did have a few friends, at least. To call them a sibling though…
“That would be…nice.” He struggled a little to say as much, but he meant it. “I uh, I wasn’t much of an older brother to mine, I mean it’s kinda my fault he’s gone. But. A second chance won’t be turned down.” After all, his parents had chosen not to have any other kids after Lasair left. And well, not it was too late for that to even have a chance of happening now. It gave him a slight sinking feeling knowing he was the last of his blood line. But, wasn’t that the case for so many anders?

"well, uh, good, then," She stuttered her way to a smile, and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "I'd say welcome to the bloduewedd clan, but its a clan o'one these days, so maybe we can cheat a bit and call ourselves part of the Donyas. so long azzz*hic* y'don't tell clair we're claimin her side of the family" she winked.
Oh god, she winked. Who the hell was she?
Someone who really really, really always wanted to be a part of a family, and was stupidly happy that this boy had agreed to their little play pretend plan.

Chuckling with her, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders as well, joining them together in an awkward sort of walk that may be a little difficult to get the hang of. “The Lupens are down to just one now, so maybe joining Clair’s clan isn’t such a bad idea.” He laughed a little more, the drunken mind pushing back the realization that he was the last of his family. Well, family from his parents at least. There were surely Aunts and Uncles with kids. Yeah, cousins. But that was a thought for another time. A more sober time.
Winking back at her, he continued to walk and stumble forward. “So what kinds of things do siblings usually do together? Get drunk and wander around the city?” If it wasn’t, well, then it was going to be something now.

"I dunno... never spent time with mine. Should we ask an expert on theh matter?" She peered around hopeful to find a pair of siblings lazing about. Truth was, she didn't know the first thing bout being a family. And she spent more time resenting what she knew of hers than loving them.
Thunder clapped and suddenly a sheet of rain poured down. the look on her face could crack an egg, it was so grumpy-cat-esque. "Bugger." She muttered.

He nodded intensely at the suggestion of asking experts in the matter of how to be siblings. Surely there were experienced people around waiting to be asked. But, the search was cut short by a blast of thunder and a blanket of rain. “I should walk ya home,” Lasair spoke, trying to be heard over the rain. “Which way is it from here?” As the brother, he should at least make sure his sister made it back safely. If nothing else, that seemed like something to do. And he could do it right. Hopefully. Probably.

After Alistair torched her neighborhood she moved (with all of grandpa Paten Eath's remaining worldly possessions: A few sunken ol' crates and boxes, nothing more) to one of the CAEsAL dorms. They were in the right district, thankfully, so maybe they could escape the rain. "Good Idea," she pipped up, "We can hang out there till the rain passes." She didnt even think twice about inviting him along inside. "I live in the old dorms behind the Opera house."

Lasair nodded, failing to realize that she might not notice the action. That was alright, he vaguely remembered where the dorms were; he didn’t exactly visit now that the kids came to him, but surely if he went in that direction, Maeve would lead him the rest of the way there. So, hanging onto her a bit tightly, he rushed forward, trying to duck under cover from the rain as often as he could, even if it was the smallest overhang. It could provide a little bit of relief for a moment or two.
When they did finally make their way there, Lasair found himself pausing, not wanting to rush in first. It wasn’t his place of residence after all. Maybe he should go? He was already wet and she probably had her own things to do. He stood there with a confused look on his face as he tried to process the ideas.

This was it, this was the place. They'd marched rather quickly there, setting a pace to outrun (haphazardly, due to their drunken states) the rain, but once they'd arrived, he stopped on the threshold like a clockwork doll experiencing a command error. "What're you doin'?" She asked him, seizing his shirt and yanking him inside. "You're gonna get m'wet" she lectured. Trying not to trip over her own feet as she stutter-stepped backwards while leading him inside by the collar.

“Oh. Um. Sorry,” he mumbled, realizing that the plight his mind created was solved for him by being dragged forward by the front of his shirt. “I’m coming,” he assured a moment later, trying to stand up for himself and push her away. He wasn’t quite sure where in the building he was heading, but they were inside now, and thus getting progressively more dry. That was better, right? She didn’t need to be dripping wet in his presence after all.

"'ere we are, much better" she proclaimed, shaking out her hair like an actual cat might. "hungry?" she asked after a moment, she knew she was, she had the munchies and was starving. "I Think I might 'ave a bite to eat in 'ere somewhere..." She went to the pantry in her little dormitory, not bothering to wait for him to confirm if he was or not. The rain could be seen through the window, splattering fat blobs of water against its glass pane. She creaked open the pantry door and poked her head into the slender cabinet. She had some biscuits! She grabbed the tin full of them and held them up in victory.

Nodding, he followed her forward and leaned over her shoulder and she explored the pantry. He hadn’t felt hungry until she mentioned it, but now he was craving something to chew on and she was willing to provide. Stumbling back as she produced the tin, he grinned and looked up at the source of food. “Well what are ya waiting for? Open em up and have some.” And pass them to him, but he forgot to add in that part verbally. Aw well at least there was food now.
