This month we bring some unfortunate news to he spotlight. While we're happy to bring Zona to the spotlight, we're also sad to share the news about Gabriel.
Character of the Month:
This March Spotlight's Character of the Month is being awarded to someone who took the initiative and personally recruited not one, not two, but THREE new members into our wonderful Lodan. She's also one of our veteran members, being here for over a whole year and having an activity record that could make even the admin team impressed! Zona K. Noakes surely deserved this spot.
Member of the Month:
This month’s Member spotlight goes out to a very special member who we have recently learned has passed. Although few members now may know of Gabriel Sinnett, he was truly a one of a kind individual. We, the staff, wish for it to be known that the spotlight is not to be given to the man because of his passing, but simply to honor his memory and for past accomplishments among the community. Gabriel made sincere efforts to drop in at times to see how everyone was doing, and what Lodan was up to while one day aspiring to return to us. However, that would not be the case. What many did not know is that our dear member, whom many shall miss, was battling cancer outside of the game and so he could not remain with us while he made a strong effort to combat such a tragedy.
While he was among us, Gabe was ever a lively character who often partook in joking, creative building, and many discussions. He contributed to several ideas behind the scenes that lead to character developments of other characters, or often liked to aid in fleshing out ideas when discussed. Eventually, he stepped up for the position of Second in Command for Mingo’s Merchanics which had been a daunting task to adjust to at first. Outside of the game, he was all too eager to share music, art, or other wonderful things. Among stressful scenarios in video games when many often lost their cool, Gabriel did not. Calm and collected, he always sought things through carefully. Of course, no human is perfect, but that is where our treasured member also excelled. When there was something he struggled with, he did not hesitate to ask for clarification or seek out the appropriate help. If he ever felt he offended anyone, he often went out of his way to apologize.
You shall be missed, Gabriel. May you rest in peace.
