Open to Edelweiss Fjäril
Castamere replayed in his mind more than he would like to admit. Once before he had evacuated farms along a town but that had been nothing to the chaos and the pain of what had been experienced in that forsaken place. After his orders to evacuate the northern half of the city, he and the other captain had split off and took all who were able and willing to leave toward the other major city states--but it had not been without sacrifice. Even in the silence of the morning he could hear the screams of slaughtered women, children, and men ring in his ears. EIRAL was not going to win this war in its given state, that much had been made very clear. However, much to his chagrin, the Sveden woman, who was not meant to be there by his knowledge, had been right in calling the Andersweltlers to fight back. Edel's words and the Generals rang in his mind over the course of the days. Magic affected technology--that's why Alice disliked them. Svedens did not have Andersweltlers to his knowledge. The logical conclusion of employing anders into training for the war was a quick one to come to. Alas, the realism of that happening was neigh impossible. Kalum hated anders, but he could not deny they needed them--maybe, just maybe Alistair would listen and think the same... and if he didn't, there were other cautious measures to be taken.
Many hours later Kalum had scoured every inch of the theatre district hoping to find some sort of clue that he could find a person willing to take on his request. To no avail did he turn up anything and so he found himself standing in front of Edelweiss' office. If anything, he could at least ask the woman straightforward. She would know her district better than any. "Miss Edelweiss," he called as he gave the door a quick rap.
