Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
She was about to agree with his plan on taking a break when the sirens started back up again along with the yelling. Guess the magic wore off then... The thief-girl groaned in exasperation before she looked around and saw some hay wagons parked nearby on the other side of the building they were on. "Well, you can brag and bluff to your friends about this." she said as she headed for the edge of the roof and took a running jump, her mind screaming at her that this was probably not a good idea even as she plummeted towards her supposed death... instead she landed in one of the hay wagons with a poomf. Ikuze stayed as quiet as she could underneath the hay, hoping that Flos would take the hint and get down here with her. Now she just had to sit back and wait for the heat to cool off, and then they could be on their merry way back to the noble lady with the loot.
"Hey, whoa--!" [Flos dashed after her frantically, baffled at why she'd jump off the building so suddenly at a high peak. Is she crazy?! Well, he supposed she was, with trying to rob a man with a blade at his belt . . . He sighed with relief when he saw she landed in one of the haystacks below. He followed suite as he hopped down and landed in his own haystack, hitting the straw with a low grunt. He poked his nose out and whispered to her, assuming she could hear.] "This is your idea of takin' a break?" [he joked.]
Ikuze rolled her eyes as she could hear Flos, and so shuffled through the hay till she was in the same haystack as him. "Yes. Now shush or I'll be forced to take drastic measures to ensure your silence." said the young thief without any sign of a smirk or smile... for about five seconds before she grinned and lay back contentedly. The girl lay there in silence for a few minutes, her ears trying to listen out for any sounds of pursuit. The sirens appeared to be growing fainter, an indication that they may be in the clear. She gave a soft breath of relief before her eyes widened as the cart with their haystacks jostled. "Quick, gimme the hat." she hissed trying to get Flos' hat onto her own head, and more importantly, covering her blue mane. Without any time to explain she went to wrap her arms around him and try to plant her lips full onto his own, her shorts somehow finding themselves around her ankles as she attempted to straddle the boy.
They hay covering them was soon partially removed and the owner of the cart, a bearded fellow with a pipe in his mouth looked at the pair in the hay. "Oi! Take yer foolin' elsewheres! I gots ter take this load ter the damned army base fer their horses, and don't need no drat kids ruttin' in mah stock! Git!"

"Hey! Wha--" [Flos had no time to finish as his hat was snatched from his head and onto Ikuze's. Eyes wide and face redder than a rose, he was suddenly pulled in, mouth somehow locked onto hers. He hastily attempted to pull back from her until the hay was suddenly pulled away by a bearded, gristly man. As he barked at the two, Flos managed to finally break away from Ikuze, flustered but fully understanding her intent.] "Y-yessir! Sorry, sir!" [He immediately climbed out of the wagon and held out his hand to help Ikuze down. Still crimson-colored, he tried hard not to look at her in the eye.]
The thief girl blushed the right amount of crimson at their being "caught" in the act as she accepted Flos' hand out of the wagon after pulling up her shorts, and tried to wrap her arms around his in a couple-ish gesture. "Sorry sah," she said putting on a more cockney accent, "we jist sawr yer lovely soft hay... and couldn't resist. Sorry fer the trouble sah." Ikuze said with a little curtsey before she tried to lead Flos in the general direction of the docks, her head attempting to rest on his arm, given the height difference, as if they really were a couple. Once they were far enough away she switched back to her normal voice. "Sorry about that... kinda panicked when I heard that guy coming. Hope you didn't mind?" she asked, looking up at him with those wide blue eyes, her clothes dotted with straw here and there.
[Despite all of his experience as a thieving "actor", Flos was at a total loss on what to say alongside Ikuze. He followed her lead to the docks, wanting severely to stride away as fast as possible but it would only make them look unnatural and suspicious. He finally felt like he could breathe once she released him, returning to her actual self.] "Wh-what? No, not at all! Well, I mean--anything's better than bein' actually caught, right?" [He laughed nervously, freckled cheeks still flushed and rosy.]
The young thief chuckled at his reaction. "Well, let's get back to the boss lady then eh? The sooner we drop off this loot the sooner I can get a nap... That many people at once kinda drained me..." she said before looking back at him. "Oh, and by the way... just out of curiosity... was I your first? Cus... well, you could use the practice. No offense." Ikuze said, trying to make it sound like she'd done that routine dozens of times, when the truth was that that had been the first time for her as well. The thief girl had no idea why that had been the first plan that had popped into her head when she'd heard the wagon's owner coming towards them... She shook the moment from her mind for the time being and looked around. "Sooo... which way was it again back to her boat?"
"Ahhggh--w-w-what?" [Flos stumbled over his words yet again. Well, yes, it was certainly his first kiss (appropiately stolen by a thief, no less) but for some reason he didn't want to admit it. But he can't really lie about it either! Which way would make him look bad? He continued to fidget over his incoherent answer.] "Gahh, well--uhh . . . uck . . ." [Embarrassed, Flos looked away and rubbed the back of his head, then suddenly remembered Ikuze was still wearing his cap. Without so much as an brief word or excuse, he reached over and plucked it off her head, adjusting it back on its rightful place. He pulled its peak down a little over his eyes, lower than he normally would've worn it. Relief passed him like a breeze it looked like the subject changed.] "Err, should be up ahead, I think. Th-the streets don't look too busy right about now. We should be back by sunset."
The thief girl giggled and looked away so he couldn't see the crimson that was forming on her cheeks. "Figured." she said, trying to sound more confident than she felt concerning the kiss. She ruffled her hair a bit now that the hat was off and started walking in the direction he'd pointed them in. "So... um... you been with the noble lady's gang long?" asked Ikuze, testing the waters a bit. "What's it like?"
"Umm, y-yeah. For a while. Um, they're not bad, I guess. A lot of them tend to get pretty rowdy and aggressive sometimes. We've had a couple of indoor brawls before." [He laughed sheepishly.] "But overall, no one's that bad. Everyone respects each other in their own way. Th-the women are respected just as much, don't worry! I mean, there's Miss Caitlin, you know." [Another sheepish laugh. He wasn't much of an explainer.] "But they do tend to pick on the newbies, so I guess you should watch out. But I think you can handle it, seeing the way you fought off the other guys back there, right?"

"Should I be dismayed or impressed that there was fighting, and yet..." Caitlin's voice rose out of nowhere, presumably catching the duo off guard. They were back at the docks now though, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock to see her. Were they not looking for the guild leader after all?
"Here you both are, safe and sound and whole." She glanced between the two and rose an eyebrow expectantly, awaiting the official report of her trial.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
"Wasn't much of a fight miss. More like running and making the other guy smack themselves." said Ikuze as she brought around the bag from her back and opened it up to show off the assembled loot. "And voila. Got some cogs, gears, some watches, some jewels... although need to check those. Rich buggers are slowly going more glass than class lately. Eh, no offense." she said rather quickly when she remembered that this lady probably was one of those rich buggers. "And the bag itself as well." she said. "No problems whatsoever." said the thief as she lied through her teeth.
[Flos jumped a little at the sound of Miss Cailtin's voice. He turned to face her though wasn't sure how to give his own report. Ikuze seemed to have explained hers fairly well, aside from her . . . covering up the incidents they had. Should he be honest or play along? Oh gosh . . . he rubbed the back of his head while trying to sound confident.] "Y-yeah, she did pretty well, considering the half hour she had to collect whatever pertained to quality. I don't think she did too badly. I mean, even if she did cause a commotion, well, I--I guess I didn't hear of it if she managed to get away in one piece, right? So that means she passed, right?" [Was that detail too much? Did it make sense? Was he doing this right?! Dammit dammit dammit--]

Caitlin didn't reach into the bag or take any of the trinkets off of Ikuze hands. She couldn't, or else they might break. unlike the younger thief who was only half blood and might break the mechanical bits if she used them, Caitlin was full blood and definitely would. She listened to them both offer mixed reviews of the afternoon before placing both hands on her hips and drawing an assessment of her own.
"Flos," she waved her hand between the two of them. "I'd like you to keep an eye on our newcomer here, since it looks like she'll be with us from now on. Ikuze..." She gave an exaggerated pause before offering a plesant smile. "Welcome to the brotherhood. Take your loot the flagship to be stored and shipped. Anything that isn't it's own form of currency, such as gold, silver, jewels; must be haggled and traded, and we can't rightly do it here with the people we pilfered, so they go out in shipments to be traded to our nations neighbors." The flag ship wasn't here at the docks. She'd have to go to the sky port for that... but Caitlin left it up to Flos to do the explaining and -if need be- the guiding should the girl require a tour of the lifts. Caitlin gave them both a pat on the shoulders before air kissing their cheeks and waving away. Just as swiftly as she dropped in, she spirited away, her sword swinging at her hip with every stride.

The young thief gave a little mock curtsey to the noble before sealing up the bag and looking to Flos. "So, guess I'm in and we're gonna be stuck with one another for a bit." she said with a little shrug. She looked around at all the ships in the harbour. "Um... so which of these tubs is the flagship then?" asked Ikuze before she tried to pluck a piece of hay from Flos' clothing. "And yes, you're allowed to say to your friends, "I jumped into some hay with the new girl." and let your friends draw their own conclusions. I'm used to it by now." she said with a sly little smirk.
