Open to all! Especially to those who haven’t met Max in another thread yet
Timeline note: This takes place a week or so after the murderer from the mystery event has been caught
Max stood in the center of Central Square, hunched over and with her hood up to better blend in. She was glad people were finally calming down about the whole serial killer ordeal; it made them so much easier to pick pocket. She had just acquired a rather fat coin purse from a rather rude noble and was deciding where to go next. She could perhaps grab a bite to eat, or gather intel on people needing to be killed, or visit one of the very few friends she had made.
But with the sun directly overhead, she decided to simply go for a walk and enjoy the calm air of the day. She was just getting to the far side of Central Square when angry shouting suddenly filled the air, coming from the center of the square. Curious, she turned around to find the source of all the noise. After pushing her way (and resisting the urge to pick more pockets) to the front, she discovered that the rude noble she had just robbed was getting in a fight with some beggar.
“Give me back my coins!” the hot-blooded noble shouted, swinging a punch at the beggar.
The beggar just barely managed to avoid the blow and continued to cower down, holding his hands over his face. “I swear I don’t have it!” he replied, doing his best to worm out of the larger man’s grasp. The young noble wouldn’t budge, however, and continued to attack the poor man, missing more blows then he landed.
Feeling the need to get as far away from these people as possible, Max turned around and started pushing her way back through the crowd. When she finally broke out of the tight mass of people, she began a quick pace towards the outskirts of the square. She hoped none of the curious newcomers would stop to ask her what was going on.
