Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Zona followed at they walked out side, the cool air felt good, so good that she couldn't wait to spread her wings, they were itching to get out. As she stood there and felt the cool breeze on her bare skin she listened closely to what Stephen was saying. She know he wanted someone up high but for something like this the best thing for it was really in the air... She wasn't sure if she wanted to expose who she really was quite yet to the two of them, "I'm down with helping you on the ground or climbing high for the sky view, either one. You can pick which you would rather do Mae, I can do whatever you don't want." Zona said as she looked at her, secretly hoping Maeve would pick the sky view so she could stay on the ground.

Maeve flexed her claws, then shrugged. "I'm good with heights," was all she said, leaving the final call up to Stephen himself, since he seemed to know all the details of what he wanted them for. She was glad to be outdoors, the air smelled less like a cellar here than it did inside.

"It is settled then. Mae shall take the sky as Zona and I cover the ground. Most likely Lizeth Tirips will try to escape up to the sky port. Keep an eye on her, Mae. The rest should be no problem if all goes well." When they were almost at the post he paused at an alley way and removed his hooded vest, folding it neatly then tucking it behind a random box. It did not make him comfortable to take his gear off but he had to look the part of a dishevel drunk. After removing and hiding his wrists guards as well he paused a moment, contemplating what else to do. "Do I look like a drunk commoner?" he questioned those in his presence with an unhappy face.

Mae let out a dry laugh.
"No." She said plainly. "You look sober as a nun who hasn't taken communion in a dogs age. try letting your shoulders loose, and dont stand with your feet like that, point them at angles, and bend your knees. Drunk people can't stand up straight or walk a straight line. And they're never that - stiff -" his clothes were ok, she supposed, so she didn't mention them.

"I agree with her your way to stiff and proper looking..." Zona said as she examined him further, "I would also say untuck part of your shirt and roll one of your sleeves up half way, but make it a messy and un-neat roll." Zona said thinking that may help the look a bit, "What are you going to say, or sound like if she starts talking to you?" Zona asked, even if he managed to pull off the drunk look he would need the slur and irrational words to go with it.

Stephen attempted to follow the instructions given to him, feeling utterly foolish. "I do not know. 'Hello there ma'am, please don' kill me?' That will certainly help" he stated sarcastically, mimicking the slang he heard so often on these streets. Would he have to mess up his hair for this as well? Queens, if he came home like this his father would probably assumed he had been invaded by some common street rapist. He paled a little at the thought of being caught like this.

Zona stood there with her hand against her face she sighed slightly, "Have you ever been drunk? Or better yet have you ever seen a drunk?" Zona said as she stepped a little closer, he looked a little more the part now but the way he acted... "If you don't get the voice right your going to blow everything, and she'll see ya comin' from a miles away."

Stephen was getting more and more annoyed "Yes I have seen a drunk person before. They bumble about like idiots. Why would I want to degrade myself in such a way? Being drunk is as about as much fun as getting run over by a carriage! So no, I am not very learned in the ways of being intoxicated. What should I do?"

"First off don't stand up so straight!" Zona said as she walked over to him and pushed his shoulders down into a slouching position, "Second, slur your words more. Make it to the point where it is hard to understand. And lastly don't be so proper, don't call anyone sir or ma'am, drunk people have no regard for others, they a rude and just care about themselves, 9 out of 10 times they are trying to get their hands on more to drink, or some way to pleasure themselves, so make it a point to be rude and not care. Act as though you want something and will do anything to get it." Zona said as she circled him, hoping she explained it well enough that he would understand.

All this information being thrown at him at once was giving him a headache. "Alright! I get it! Let's just get this done with" he snapped after her last comment. "Mae, follow us from above. Zona, keep an eye out a ways away, got it?" He did not wait for their response as he shuffled off.
It did not take him long to find some of the suspects. Three of targets were walking in a group down the next street over. He followed the instructions given to him as he bumped into one of the women of the group. "Watch wer ya goin' ya-" he cut off his insult when she turned to look at he. He paused, blinking dumbly at her then gave her a half smile "ey. what's yer name, gorgeous?" Was that what a drunk person would do? Maybe? He was not entirely sure and he was certainly not proud of his behavior.
The woman smirked at him, glancing back at her two accomplices before turning to address him again. "My names Elizabeth! I'm sorry ta have gotten in your way" Stephen nodded his head eagerly, losing his balance as he went on "Yea! Ya did git in ma way. I think I need ta be compensated fer ma troubles" He was trying to make is seen he was attracted to her. He thought he would accentuate the point by leaning towards her. Queens this woman smelled weird. Like a mix of blood, sea and flowers. It was disgusting. He resisted the urge to throw up. Was his act believable? He hoped so. "I agree! Come with us and I shall pay you back for your undeserved troubles!" she chirped with a happy grin, taking his arm and leaning him forward. The man and other girl in his company followed closely behind him.

"He's a natural..." Zona thought to herself, either he had been drunk before and just didn't tell anyone, or her quick lessons really did the trick. Either way the were on the move and Zona began to follow, staying a good distance way, close enough to see and hear them, but far enough that she would look like any other commoner on the streets. "So where are we off to?" Zona thought to herself as the went on their way.

Mae nodded her acceptance of the order and ducked into the nearest alley to climb the fire escape to the rooftops. She didn't take the stairs, instead using her instinctual feline prowess to ascend the exterior of the iron wrought structure all the way up. It was a lot quicker than zig-zagging on the steps.
Overhead she had a hard time hearing what Stephen or the trio he ran into were saying, but the swagger of his act was much more believable than before. Maybe he just needed a real audience to turn on his inner diva? They started walking and Mae did her best to follow from her position, walking along the edge of the roof like a practiced gymnast in a balance beam routine. If it weren't for her upbringing in the hovel, her need to escape the law when she stole to get by, she doubted even feline blood would have saved her butt in this daring move. She crouched low so as not to cast a shadow below and be caught. They were moving awfully fast. She wondered what he'd said to convince them to bring him in so easily?
