Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Stephen lead Lone all the way to Mr. Storms house. Thankfully, nobody was out today. Most likely because the sky look as if it was about to rain. They reached the house before the rain had started. Stephen knocked on the front door, sighing a little as he stepped back to look at the girl again. She really was quite pitiful.

"Blast those cats. Always causing problems! Ah well, I am glad it is nothing worse." Charles climbed back up the stairs with a big grin on his face once again. "Sorry for the interruption! Shall we get back to those wedding plans?" he asked, gesturing to the entrance of the main living room.
((Ikuze should join in too! If she wants to and is home n_n))

Lefiruc bowed his head towards Charles. "Of course." he said, taking the invitation to enter the main living room. He couldn't help but notice all the trophies hanging from the walls. "I can see you're quite the avid hunter." he said before selecting a chair and lowering himself into it slowly, his cane placed in front of him. He slowly leaned back and let his head rest against the back of the chair, placing his cane to the side for the moment. "I'll be frank with you Charles... and please spare the joke there." he said, anticipating the man's sense of humour and cutting it off before it side-tracked them. "Personally speaking, I'd prefer this wedding to happen sooner rather than later." said the old man before he went into a brief fit of coughing, waving away any assistance offered. Lefiruc collected a small pouch from his coat pocket and ingested one of the bean-like items within. The coughing subsided, and Lefiruc got his breathing back under control. It took him a moment to compose himself once more. "Where was I... oh yes... preferably sooner than later."
Linda opened the door to reveal Stephen and a Winged Anders girl standing outside. "Oh my." she said before Ikuze called to the maid. "Who is it Li-" she said as she came to the door, dressed in a casual blue dress, blinking at the sight of the girl. She glanced around outside for a brief moment before nodding to Linda. "Get the tea on, and some blankets Linda. Along with whatever you use for Grand-father." she said, the maid immediately setting to her duties. Ikuze looked back at Stephen and the girl. "Well get inside both of you." said the girl as she closed the door behind the two, looking at the child in concern. "What happened to her Stephen?" she asked, as she escorted the two to the living room, Linda appearing with some tea, several blankets, and some ointments.

Charles nodded, putting a serious face on as Lefiruc spoke. At his coughing fit, his eyebrows raised with concern and he tried to help but was waved away. Charles nodded "Alright, I understand the circumstances. Just because it is going to happen soon does not mean we will cut back on the celebration. It is an important day in their lives and needs to be special for them! I had not the pleasure of having a grand marriage myself so I wish to give my son and your granddaughter a better matrimonial ceremony. First, let us pick a date. Than talk of venue and other arrangements shall follow."

Stephen guided the girl inside with him. "I have not the slightest clue. One moment I was enjoying a pleasant evening the next this girl comes uninvited into MY Library! From what little I could get from her, she is named 'Lone', she presided in my house for God knows how long, she knows no manners or the way of things, and she is very, Very, VERY shy" he finished with a tired sigh.

Lone stood at the doorway, looking around at her new surroundings with wide eyes and that typically blank expression of hers, and cocked her head in curiosity at the new people. The man with the strange eye seemed to be angry still, and she backed up a little, receding behind her wall of white hair and wrapping what was left of her wings around her. (Sorry for the late reply! I'm sorry :c )

Lefiruc gave a slight chuckle. "I think we can both agree that already this is going to be day neither will forget very soon." he said, his mind casting back to when the arrangement first took place. The elder sat in thought for a moment. "We would need time to arrange for the bookings and such, and of course whomever the pair select for their entourages..." he said, musing on the situation before an idea came to him that made him smirk a little beneath his beard. "How about the night before All Hallow's Eve? Least then the lad doesn't have an excuse in future for forgetting the anniversary." he offered.
Ikuze gave Stephen a look before she knelt down to Lone's height. "Hey there... I'm Ikuze. No need to be afraid here. You're amongst your own kind here... well, maybe not winged ones." she said with a soft smile. She bore one of her arms in front of Lone and gently pierced her skin to reveal the black blood in her veins. "I'm sorry if Stephen here scared you... he's not exactly good with people. Trying to train him but well, his heads thicker than the palace walls." said the noble-thief with a playful smirk. With a nod to Linda, the maid opened up the ointments. "Now... don't be afraid alright? Linda here is just going to rub some ointments into your wings. Should make them feel better okay? Then we'll get you warm and something in your belly. Must be starving." said the blue haired girl lightly before she stood up and looked to Stephen, leaning in to whisper to his ear so Lone couldn't hear her.
"Got to say, kid's smart... her condition, she wouldn't last a day down in the slums. Easier picking's when the owners are out... Now as for you, I'd suggest calming down a little. Whatever happened in your house, seems to have scared her stiffless." said Ikuze, no magic in her voice this time.

Lone backed away again, but this new person seemed to give off a warm aura, and she felt as if she could trust this one... Lone listened to the blue-haired girl until she held out her arms, and Lone jumped back a little, but saw that she had pierced her own skin. Was her blood black? She had only seen one person with black blood, but that was when she was back at the lab... She saw them as she passed by a test room, the contents of their body spread recklessly across the table on which they lay. She closed her eyes tight, trying to erase the image from her mind. When she saw that, however, she assumed their blood was that color because of an experiment of some sort... Was this lady from the labs too? Luckily, the lady moved on to a different topic... Stephen's head was thicker than the palace walls? She looked over at the boy with the strange eye and cocked her head in confusion. His head didn't look that big! She blinked twice. She turned back to the blue-haired girl as she had started to speak again, but diverted her eyes as the other lady started opening up some jars. Lone lifted her shoulders to her ears. "Ointment" didn't sound like a nice thing, but they seemed like nice people... But then, So did the strange men in white coats...

Charles laughed "My son is very forgetful so that just might help him! I am surprised the boy even manages to get home at all these days! He is always getting lost or falling down things. He I always out till the next morning, doing God knows what! I swear, that boy will be the end of me." Charles waved his hand dismissively "Ah, I am getting off topic. I think the event should be held at my estate since there seems to be more room here. I hope you are quite alright with that!" It was more of a statement than a question. "How is your granddaughter taking this news? To be thrown into this life style so suddenly, it must be quite the adjustment for her!" he boomed, nodding thoughtfully to himself.

Stephen gave Ikuze an unamused face. He did not know why everyone was acting like he was in the wrong. From any normal persons view, they would see his actions as extremely kind given the circumstances. "If I am needed- an I sincerely hope that is not the case- I will be over there" he grumbled, walking over to the living room. He had far too much excitement for one day.

"It is ever the way of the younger generation to bring both joy and grief to their elders. I'm sure you brought your own share of troubles to your parents." the old man smirked. Lefiruc nodded at Charles' "suggestion" of holding the event at his home. When the question of his grand-daughter came about, he leaned back into the chair for a moment as he pondered his response. "That it is indeed... she is making progress though, although I dare say there will always be a part of the street in her. Still fights at every opportunity to not wear a corset though. Calls them, "torture devices from the abyss" so she does." the old man regaled with a chuckle. "The main adjustment I think will be when the vows are taken... assuming we haven't taken both of them to the altar in chains." said Lefiruc before he tilted his head in thought. "Make that chains, with very complicated locks on them... Otherwise Ikuze will have picked them before we even begin the ceremony."
The elder looked towards the windows for a moment as he sat in thought. "In the end though... judging solely from how your lad reacted that night when I first proposed the arrangement... I think you've done a fine job with him Charles. And I think he will do a fine job in the, hopefully, years to come."
Linda held open the jars so that Lone could see the gooey stuff inside of them. "It's quite alright dear. This stuff's just to make your wings feel better. Okay?" she said, scooping out a little with her fingers, even dabbing some on her own body to show that it was harmless. "See?" said the maid before she very gently and slowly reached over to try and apply the ointment Lone's wings, trying to be very delicate about the whole thing.
Ikuze in the mean-time looked over at Stephen. She sighed before walking over to him. "What I say wrong this time? You're grumpier than usual tonight." asked the thief. "She interrupt one of your reading sessions or something?"

Charles smiled, proud to hear praise about his son "I hope my boy will live up to your praises. He is certainly luck to have your granddaughter. She is quite the catch. She is charming, quite independent and has a lot of spunk to her- traits that one rarely find in upper-class women. I am sure that their marriage will be prosperous! Now, back to the original topic! We could certainly go hours and hours talking about the couple but we unfortunately have not the time for that!" he boomed. "So, have we any progress on their apparel for this event? The time and place has been set." He paused, a thoughtful look crossing his face "Do you think it would be best if we consulted them both on their ideas for this glorious event as well? Before we go any further with it, that is."

"As a matter of fact, she did!" he huffed. "All I ever wanted to do was read some Shakespeare but apparently that is out of the question today." Reaching up he rubbed his forehead as he sat down in a chair. "My occupation has been stressful of late and I just wanted to relax with a good play. That wish shall not come true ,evidently, since I was roped into this unplanned mess." Looking up at her with a exhausted look, he went on "How would you feel if some random girl showed up in your house uninvited? You certainly would not invite her for some tea and biscuits. I still have not the slightest clue who that girl is! She could have given one of my cats rabies for all I know!" Shaking his head, he leaned forward some to extenuate what he was about to say "Listen to this; I gave the girl an orange because she looked hungry. She started gawking off the skin and eating it like a wild animal. She did not even thank me for it!" He threw up his hands in exasperation and leaned back in the chair once more.

Lone stood extremely still as the maid lady dabbed on the "ointment" stuff on her wings. She had to admit that they didn't hurt as much as they used to... They had been like this for a long time... She cocked her head with a curious expression as she heard the nice lady and the man with the weird eye bickering in the other room... Did they get along?
Ikuze sighed and went to put a hand on Stephen's shoulder gently. "Rule One of Street survival, take what you can get, and usually run straight afterwards. If you stop to thank the person handing out free food, then it won't be as "subtle" about the whole thing." she said before pulling herself up a chair. "I remember when I was her age... this fruit vendor would always "misplace" one of his stock, somewhere I could get near it. Oh he would rant and yell and shake his fist if he "caught" me taking it... but he never gave chase. I never thanked him for the food... least not with words. I tended to hang over a nearby roof though and play." shrugged the thief.
"Point is... you've seen her act... she is absolutely terrified. And her wings..." she said, biting her lip before sighing. "You breathe a word of this and I swear..." said Ikuze before she spoke. "I've seen wings like that only once before... my grand-fathers. His wound up in that state during the civil war when this house burned around him when he tried to save my grand-mother and baby uncle." told Ikuze quietly. "Now... try to imagine what could possibly have been the situation to get her own wings in that state... And you try imagining yourself behaving with manners and civility after that." she said with a sigh as she leaned back in her own chair.
The blue haired girl sat there in thought for a moment before she frowned. "Did you see the way she reacted to the sight of my blood? She recognised it but... I have never seen anyone react like that before... It was like she was trying to... shut something out." said Ikuze, fingering her choker pendant as she thought. She gave a little chuckle though. "And... as for the orange? I will admit... first time I saw one of those? I thought you ate it with the skin as well. Got to remember Sourpuss, not all Anders, full or half, get the same kinda luck in upbringing that you did. Most... well, I've done the marriage rant already, just replace the word wife with Anders and the word husband with human and you get the general idea." she shrugged.
Meanwhile, Linda continued to apply the ointment, taking care especially with the girls few feathers. "Now then young Miss Lone," she said as she finished up, "lets get you comfortable hmm?" she asked, trying to guide the girl towards one of the more supportive seats in the room, carrying some blankets for her as well to get cosy in. Her eyes followed the girls to the room Ikuze and Stephen went to. "Don't worry. They may argue and bicker a little, but they do seem to work well together." said the maid.

Lefiruc considered Charles' question about the attire. Slowly he removed a locket from his person and slid it across the table towards Charles. "I was thinking that Ikuze could use this..." he said, nodding at the hinge in the locket. When opened, inside would be an image of a woman the near spitting image of Ikuze, except a little older, wearing a wedding dress. "Thankfully it was safe from the fire in a trunk in the basement of the house." explained Lefiruc. He thought about Charles' suggestion about asking the soon to be wed's opinions, then smirked. "Which would you prefer? Surprising them a little, or having them know what's coming for them?" the old man asked.
