Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Caitlin blinked innocently and pretended not to know what he meant. She was a lady, after all. "I'm sure she was only throwing shoes at him or something rather," she supplied, though she seriously doubted it. More likely she threw a chair at him than a shoe.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin

The more Ikuze talked, the more he felt the need to crawl into the nearest closet and hide. This was far too much vulgar talk for his comfort. God help him if it actually started to effect him in some visual matter that was not acceptable- particularly in the nether regions; he could not help picturing some of the things the girl had mentioned and certainly was NOT helping. At her last comment he turned on his heels and walked quickly to the door "Would you look at the time, I believe I must be off now. Good day" his voice full of strain.
"Ahem." coughed Ikuze as she stood up. "Is one going to leave the lady of the house, unescorted to her dinner guests? Tsk tsk." chided the thief with a little smirk on her face as she tried to catch up to him. "Besides... I was only teasing. For someone so well educated, you really have no sense of the common touch do you?" she asked. "Well... I wasn't kidding about the Danielle being your mistress thing. And before you try to run, let me break it to you... dozens of nobles in this city alone keep women on the side." said Ikuze as they began to walk down the corridor.
"Besides... don't tell me you don't feel something for her hmm?" asked the blue haired girl as she tried to place a hand on his chest above his heart. "We both know that this arranged marriage dung is gonna happen. Your father is a bit of a... forceful personality. And my grandfather isn't sticking around much longer. What I'm trying to do is make it easier on at least one of us." said Ikuze before she went to try and give him a very gently slap on the cheek. "There, now we can properly address my grand-father and Lady Cockfoster. You did chase after me after making me cry after all." she said with a smirk before holding out her arm for him to take to continue his enforced escorting.
"Of course the whole things academic... not much chance of any large dowry." shrugged the thief.

Stephen paused for her to catch up. His face was blank once again, trying his best to show no emotion; but his eyes were harder to disguise. His eyes flickered dangerously "The term noble is given to those who are respectable members of society who have high moral principles. In current times though, one is only called noble based on the money in their pockets. It is, in my honest opinion, inaccurate to claim that these upper class men are nobility since they lack moral respect. Call them nobility if you like but do not pair me with such people. I am very different from them" he stated quietly in a steady voice.
The angry thoughts coursing through his head abruptly ended when she touched his chest. The unexpected action caused him to stiffen some, his heart skipping a beat in surprise. Well that was an annoying feeling. Averting his eyes from her he answered truthfully with a deep frown "I will not lie, I am... fond of Danielle but our relationship is very complex. I know very little about her and she seems to not trust me enough to revel much about her. I understand that I most of all have no right to wish she was honest with me but it would be nice to know just... something about her..." his words faded off at the end. Clearing his throat, he turned once more back to her "Unfortunately for you, I suppose you are correct on this marriage business." Ikuze, no matter how much he wished to deny it, was somewhat a friend of his. He would marry a friend over the other noble girls any day. No way was he going to state that out loud.
Taking her arm in his, he led her back to the dinning room. "I care not for money, Ikuze. So you small dowry is of no concern for me nor my father. He would just be pleased that I will actually marry someone. I believe there are a few bets going on at home on whether I shall marry of die alone" he added the last part with an annoyed look as they arrived at the dinning room door. He let go of her arm so that he could open the door for her to enter. A thought occurred to him suddenly "Pardon, but are you allergic to cats?" He had to ask.
"Danielle doesn't trust easy. Heck, I don't even know everything about the girl... I don't even know where she stays." said the thief with a shrug. She wanted to let the one secret she knew slip to him... But she wasn't sure how Danielle would react if Stephen found out about her being Daniel. One the one hand, it would be funny to watch his expression and then think back to all the times they'd been together... but on the other hand, if Danielle hadn't told him yet, then she probably had her reasons. That, and she had promised to not tell anyone... "Think of her like... like one of your mystery books?" she offered. "You don't know everything that's going on in it, till you reach the end of it. You still keep reading though now don't you? You think its one character, then it turns out to be another." suggested Ikuze, chuckling softly and shaking her head. "Eh, you and Caitlin are bloody rubbing off on me! Bloody corruptive nobles." she said with a mock tone of indignation before she smirked. "Oh? There are bets hmm? I wonder if we could place down a wager before the news breaks... would be funny to see their faces drop at the news." she snickered before she raised an eyebrow at his question. Ikuze slowly shook her head. "Not that I've ever noticed. Why?"

Stephen listened to her with a slightly impressed look. The girl was smarter than he originally had given her credit for. "I suppose you are correct. Thank you" A smirk light his featured as her next comment about their noble ways rubbing off on her "Thank the Queen for that" he joked. Good she was not allergic of cats. "Oh, I was just curious.." he commented back mysteriously. After they entered the dinning room again, he shut the door behind him. Clearing his throat, he turned to Lefirus, bowing his head respectfully. "I apologies for running off, Sir. It was rude of me but I had to make up to your granddaughter for my previous actions." Turning he gave a nod to Caitlin as well "I apologize for causing you any disturbances as well, Ms. Cockfoster."
Caitlin blinked innocently and pretended not to know what he meant. She was a lady, after all. "I'm sure she was only throwing shoes at him or something rather," she supplied, though she seriously doubted it. More likely she threw a chair at him than a shoe.
Lefiruc sighed and shrugged. "I can only hope it is not a pair of stilettos. Might as well be throwing knives with those heels." he said before looking over to the door as it opened and Stephen walked back through escorting Ikuze. At the lad's apologies the old man simply shook his head and smiled. "No apologies required lad, at least not with me if that was your reasoning. In my opinion, a man should be more than willing to go after a woman if the intent is to apologise, regardless of what social convention may state otherwise." he said before chuckling softly.
"Truth be told, I was somewhat dreading the outcome of your mad dash... from the sounds of it, I was starting to fear I'd have to explain to your father why you were dead in my grand-daughters bedroom." he said, earning a quick scowl from Ikuze.
George poked his head back around the door before Lefiruc nodded at him. "Now... I do believe we still have dessert to have yes? I am led to believe that George has managed to procure quite a lovely raspberry cheesecake with cream." he said.
