Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(Open to all, happens during Rava time laying low after her legs where healed) Rava was walking home one day , in her 'working clothes' after a long shift at the cafe as she came up to a shop with dogs in the window , her eyes widened as she looked at them playing , remembered that she always wanted a dog , even on the night she want out drinking she remembered saying to herself that liked them. , there where so meany , maybe having a dog she could train it to help her do things , like steal things and such and brig the things to her , it would be all sorts of cute to see that, she pulled out her coin bag and seen she had lot of coins , more then enough for a puppy.
also she hope that Caitlin would not mind if she did have a puppy. as well as who didn't like a puppy?

"I always wanted one of those," Caitlin snuck up beside Rava and said. She hoped she didnt scare the girl too badly. Caitlin leaned against the store window and looked inside to see what puppies were looking for new homes. "You know that this store is a rescue outlet right? They don't sell for breeders, they sell pound puppies whos families never showed up to get them."
Cait smiled as she watched two little ones fight over a tug rope. Too many of the household staff at her fathers place were allergic to animal fur, so her mother and father always told her to wait to get a dog when the staff thinned out on their allergies. That never happened. If anything, they hired more people with allergies than they ever let go. Maria (their cook) always told Caitlin that breeders were evil snobs, and that recues were animal angels. Her father would have had a heart attack to hear that pedigree dogs were sold by snobs, but Caitlin believed it, and she always wanted a pound puppy.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Rava jump scared " h hay ! you gotta stop doing that" Rava said before they turn the attentions back to the puppies as she heard the story she told "poor things , i remember once that my dad had a dog , well a wolf dog he saved , i remember it growing with me... " know how father's dog ended up after its try to protect its owner from Axis. ".... well i want to get one , since i miss having a dog " she said as she tried to pick out a one before going in.

Caitlin listened to her explain what she was doing and she smiled. "If you want one, what's stopping you? Go in there," Cait urged her reformed Stag Beetle Bandit. She had half a mind to get a puppy herself, but for all her wealth and status, Cait still didn't have a place to keep one. Maybe one day, but not yet.

Rava eye lit up like fire in the night " oh thank you" she said as she opened the door and went in , inside she looked around at all the puppies , she could not choose with so meany to choose until one see seen that was different , it was in a different cage from the others , it colour was brown and it had short hair with a white spot on its chest , it had bat like ears and eyes that could melt anyone's heart , Rava asked about that dog and asked if it was for sale.

Stephen was in the shop already near the back, playing with a bunch of kittens. "Hello there! Look what I brought you all today" he said quietly with a smile, holding up a back of treats. The 4 kittens in the fenced in cage mewed excitedly and bounded over to him, falling over one another. Stephen grinned widely "Now, Now, where are you manners? Hamlet do not climb over Puck" he said to a grey haired tabby the fail in its attempt to get to the front of the fence, falling over causing Stephen to laugh. The kittens already had names but they were silly names like Licorice and Daisy. He renamed them all as his favorite Shakespearian characters. The black one was Robin Goodfellow but he called him Puck for short, the adorable white one with light orange stripes was Portia, Hamlet's sister also a grey tabby but with a white spot on her lower lip that made it look as if she was always frowning. He decided to name her Katherine. He tossed a treat to Puck who bounced up and caught it between his paws and fell backwards onto Katherine, causing her to squawk. Stephen chuckled again offering a treat to Katherine as an apology "Here you go. Puck is always causing trouble is he not? Cheer up, your my favorite. Do not tell Portia I said that though. We both know how mad she gets when she is not the center of attention, right?" He was totally absorbed with the cats that he did not notice the people who walked into the shop.

Caitlin loved places like this, it had been too long since she'd visited one. There were puppies near the front because they brought in the most attention from the passerby's in the streets. Kittens were behind them on the left side of the rescue, and to the right side they kept all the 'exotic' pets, like turtles and birds and such. Caitlin eye'd the puppies with Rava until she spotted one in particular she wanted to ask them about. While Rava was off doing that with the clerk, Caitlin browsed further into the store, till she came across a man feeding kittens.
"Aw they are so adorable!" Caitlin squeaked, which was weird to her own ears. She didn't care because right now there really was a troupe of cuteness in front of her. She dropped down to her knees and started coo'ing at the little babies. "will you be adopting any?" She asked the man with the goodies.

Stephen coughed, the smile impatiently replaced by his normal frown when he noticed just who he was talking to. "I- *ahem*- Good afternoon Miss Cockfoster. Ah, no I was not planning on it. My father is angry enough that I have 3 other cats in the house. I wish I could though. This place has nicer cats then the purebred store in Central Square. Not that I have anything against purebreds. It is just... these cat have more energy and attitude" he said with a slight smile. Tossing another treat to the cats, Hamlet tackled Puck for it, walking over to the corner to eat the treat, only to have it stolen away by Portia. "Would you care to feed them as well?" he asked, offering the bag to her. "What might you be here for? If you want a kitten I would suggest getting the grey tabby with the frown. She may look angry but she really is a sweetheart. The silly owner of this store named her Stripes but I feel like she is more of a Katherine" he rambled on absentmindedly.

Caitlin accepted the cat treat from Stephen and smiled. "Thank you Mr. Leland, and no I came in with a friend who's looking to get a dog, but I admit I do have a soft spot for kittens. Here Katherine," she coo'd holding out the treat to the little bugger. She tripped unsteady on her feet and mewed as she moved toward the treat. One of the other cats got there first and took the bait. Cait cheesed really big. They were so fluffy and small it just melted her heart.

Stephen turned to look at her friend. When he noticed who it was he resisted the urge to snort. So she did end up going to the pet store. Wonder where her 'shining knight' was. "Ah, I do believe I have met her before. Good Day Rava. Where might Mulven be?" She might remember their meeting at the bar that time long ago then again she might not; she was quite intoxicated at the time.

Edelweiss entered the pet shop with a bit of a distracted smile on her face, and was looking around without much direction until an attendant from the shop came to offer a hand. She was looking for a birthday gift for her mother. Good old Rose would be completing her anniversary in a couple weeks, and plus the woman stayed alone at her own home without visits for most of time, so Edel wanted to get her a cute gift that could also make her company. Preferably something small and fluffy. She had glanced at the puppies on the entrance showcase at first, but with them not belonging to a certain breed it was hard to be 100% sure of how big they would turn out after growing up, and it was better if the pet remained small. So after a while of getting suggestions and tips, the redhead wandered till where the cats were kept... and saw two people whom she knew among the fluffy cuties, like being one of them. "Wow, this is a really small world, isn't it." Why wasn't she so surprised... Cait was tabbycat-colored and she had always thought Stephen looked like a cat since he climbed that clocktower and didn't manage to climb down without help. Rava also seemed somewhat familar, though she couldn't exactly recall from where.

The noble glanced up from the kittens he had just been playing with to se Edel. "Apparently" he replied with a snort "Good Day Edel, in the market for a companion?" The kitten he had been scratching in his arms mewed happily.

"For my mother." Edelweiss nodded. "She will be making her anniversary soon, and would like a cute little friend..." She might have continued talking, and in fact did, but her line of thought was completely discontinued when she spotted the frowning grey tabby kitten. "...Oh dear lord... This one looks like you, Stephen." (drop) Look at those big eyes and sweet grumpy face, it was like a cat version of the eyepatched lad. Maybe she should buy that one? Sweet ironies of the universe, why must all her friends resemble cats...

Stephen was taken aback by her comment "What? You think I look like Katherine? But she is a girl..." he frowned at her "Is this some sort of joke about my personality?" She had that trying-not-to-laugh look about her again. "Well anyways, since you are in the market for kittens, I might suggest Katherine anyways. She by far is the most mellow out of them. Of course, I always suggest Katherine. Hamlet is her brother so you might want the pair. He has good manners too but is a hog for attention." A smirk graced his lips as he glanced back at the grey tabby behind him which suddenly fell over on it's side "He will play dead like that until someone notices him. It is actually quite funny." Reaching in he gave the 'passed out' kitten a scratch. Instantly the kitten perked it's head up and rubbed against his hand.

"Yes she does look like you, yourself just comfirmed by describing her - see, so grumpy-looking and yet pretty sweet." She replied with a bit a of badly hidden amused laugh while picking 'Katherine'... was it a joke naming a cat with something that actually started with 'cat'? "Lets see, who knows. I might actually do that and take them..." And rename them 'Stephanie' and 'Addison', yes.
