Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Lefiruc scowled as the shadows pushed past to reveal about a score of creatures. The old man let out a slow sigh of relief. "Just wolves... now this I can manage." he said to himself, the scowl leaving his face even as the pack began to close in on what they considered to be an old prey. He looked at the score of lupine beasts for a moment before slamming the butt of his cane into the skull of the Shadow Beast's corpse. The wolves stopped for a moment, their hackles rising and their ears pressing to their skulls as they seemed to recognise the beast before them, their eyes moving from it to him. Lefiruc slowly removed his cane from the skull and looked straight into the eyes of the larger wolf, the clear Alpha Male amongst them.
The two stared into one anothers eyes for a moment, before Lefiruc removed his sight, backing away from the shadow beast corpse, raising his head to expose his neck, taking a gamble. The wolves took a single step forward before the alpha barked. The pack tilted their head as they heard the noises from the forest then looked back to the old man and the Troxidon corpse. They slipped away, Lefiruc only letting out a soft sigh once he was absolutely certain that the pack would not hear him. "Now... where are the lot of you... may not be wolves next time..." he grumbled.
Jak shakily stood up and brushed himself off, wheezing out a chuckle. "Yeh, a lift would be marvelous, Clariee. Danny's right, dunno what I was thinking. Lost a grip on me senses there..." he rubbed the back of his head in thought, then clapped his hands together and smiled mischievously. "Right. Where’s Lefiruc, then? I s'pose the old beggar can handle himself, but we best stick together from here on, 'ey?" Jak glanced over at Benji, and, seeing he was on the ground, offered him a hand up and slapped his back encouragingly.

right. there were two of them. She bit her lip nervously, doubting she could carry two. "well, we might not get much lift," or any she thought to herself, "but maybe we can just skim our way out of here right?" She held out both hands, one to Benji, one to Jak. If this fiasco didn't get them killed, it sure had better earn them season passes to the big fancy mansion in the woods.

Benji sat up wearily and wiped his nose, which had started bleeding again. Something had hit his head.... he looked up to find two hands reaching out at him. one of his new friend Jak, and the other of the rather frightening lady. Seeing as she was closer he took her hand. he smiled at her. wow. she was pretty. "haha" he laughed, even though he was in pain. His eyes started to tear up.
Black blood spilled out of Benji's nose and Clair couldn't help but think, well now we know what kind of Ander you are....
"Shhss! Please," she tried to quiet him when he started to laugh. She Slipped behind Benji and tried to cover his mouth with her hand. At the same time, she looked over at Jak in a momentary panic. She really didn't think she could lift them both off the ground. As much as she wanted to, she just didn't have that kind of strength. "Jak, what do we do?"
Jak frowned earnestly, and nodded slowly to himself. "Clairee, you take Benji. I can manage on me own, besides...." he looked around nervously. "Best get him outta here, maybe those things can smell blood, especially Ander blood." he groaned to himself and rubbed his brow, wishing he hadn't thrown down his empty flask. "We all have to regroup at the headquarters. We might have to wait it out there until morning."
She looked at Jak and realized he was just a young man, a teen, like her. "Please stay safe," he was supposed to lead them. He better not die. She nodded to him, then turned to face Benji. That's when her eyes found Tyrell, and it nearly scared her to death the way he blended in with the shadows. At least now she knew Jak wouldn't have to travel alone. As for Benji.... "Hey, listen to me hon, I'm going to wrap my arms around your waist, I need you to wrap yours around my neck ok?"
Soon as she got some compliance out of him she said "Please bend you knees, and when I count to three, jump." She did and they jumped. She beat her wings hard and fast in the tight space, laboring for lift. It wasn't until after they cleared the tree tops that she heard the wolfish cries - and felt the sweet relief of an undercurrent in the wind.
"Lets get back to HQ yeah?" She flew her heart out.
Lefiruc looked around the glade as he set about severing the various limbs of the Troxidon, and then carrying each part to the door of the headquarters. A frown worked its way across his aged features as he struggled somewhat with the massive torso of the beast. "Where is everyone? Shouldn't have taken this long to find a single lad... unless they've found themselves all devoured now." he muttered with a weary sigh. "The good die young, whilst those too old remain alive..." said the elder winged Anders before he began to transfer each limb to the interior of the headquarters, heading for the cellar that Jak had mentioned earlier before the whippersnappers had all vanished into the forests shadows.

Danny practically flew out of the woods at the speed he was going and slammed smack dab into the monster bits in the doorway. He fell back onto his rump before quickly hopping up and scrambling inside. "Birdy an' Jak an' Ben're on their way. Ge' ready ta hole up fer the night." Danny began trying to push the monster pieces out of the doorway so it would be closeable.

"Who you callin' birdy?" Clair called down and her voice drifted on the undercurrent of her beating wings as she lowered them safely to the ground just steps away from the entrance to HQ. "Jak pretty much said the same thing," she added, regarding Danny's plan to hole up for the night. "Here," she let go of Benji and led him gently by the arm up the steps to the front door. "Jak should be just a few minutes behind me. I hope he knows a shortcut through the woods, I had the advantage of the sky." About the same time they were able to clear the Toxidon from the doorway, Tyrell arrived with Jak. His relief that they were all alive made Clairee question if it were possible other ‘trials’ had fared even worse than theirs, and if so was it really all worth it? As predicted by both Jak and Danny, they holed up in the mansion over night, and nearly forgot their earlier woes simply by exploring the wonders within.
