Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
"Not to speak ill of papa, but balloon boy could be working with or for him... I mean... look at it!" said the thief quietly as she gestured to the carrier. "That's EISAL's stuff. Big EISAL stuff... unless you think your papa is getting bossed by the bobbies?" asked Ikuze before she looked around the corner from the shed, before breaking and heading for the servants entrance. "Okay... so, we get inside... what's the plan then? There is a plan right? Cus, I don't wanna try fighting off how many bobbies are in there in a place I got no clue about, just to get to your papa and find out what's going on?" asked the thief. "Got any places we should check inside to make sure its safe in case fighting busts loose?"

Danny did as he was told and took a seat. He was about to take a sip from the teacup he was provided with when Commander Skye entered the room. "Evenin' Commander. Thanks fer offerin' the meal the other day!" Danny pulled his scarf higher up and set the teacup down. "I'll, ah, jus' be goin' then, since I'm sure ya didn' come all the way here jus' fer me." Danny stood up and inched back away from the two. He looked over at the Baron, and tipped the brim of his hat down. "Thankya fer entertainin' me, yer Baronosity, but I really shouldn' be imposin' on ya any longer." Danny took a step backwards towards the door, but bumped into something else instead. He whirled, and at the last moment, managed to catch the small stand he almost knocked over.
Rava started to think "maybe if we sent them a desecration in a way , something that would make them run far far away , am think if someone make that ship above us crash into the sea or make something that make them want to head hone fast as a rat to its home, unless you really like sneaking , making people go to sleep and golpear a los hombres , i think that making something that they need to go to is best way around a lot of guards" she felt that this could be one of them days where she may need to be the mother to make sure other around her don't run into bad men with big sticks, epically Caitlin since Rava know what could happen " Caitlin , i know this maybe hard time right now but listen to me on this , on this mission promise me that you don't do anything out of emotions that would get us all arrested or killed, all am trying to say is from one former leader to a leader that if anything happens that we need you not to strike out if something goes wrong. ok? " this was the 1st time Rava had said that in a motherly like way.
(Rava's Motherly side is coming out for this one ouo))

Caitlin shook her head at Rava but didn't say anything else till the crossed they rest of the lawn and she ushered them quickly through the servants door back at the kitchen. As soon as she stepped in, she was horrified to see Maria still at work and tending the stove. Caitlin's hands snaked around to cover both her companions mouths and they all three froze while the cook hummed to herself and poured a new pot of tea. She arranged some china on a tray and hefted it up on one shoulder with one hand while she pushed open the door leading to the main hall with the other. As the kitchen door swung back shut without Maria having ever turned to see them, Caitlin exhaled a long held breath and released her friends.
"I have a better plan," She whispered to the two as she tiptoed over to the door and cracked it open to take a peek. "You two slip down this hall together, its a long one so you'll have to take cover under the stairs half way down. If anyone catches you, Rava just pretend you thought Ikuze was me being sneaky dying my hair blue. It should at least get you off easy since they're expecting people to be trying to trick them into things like that. When you get to the other end, I need you to check the office on the left. If anyone is inside, listen carefully to whatever they say." As for herself, Caitlin was going to first check the receiving room where they would normally accept visitors, then if that doesn't work, she'd sneak upstairs to check her parents suite. All sorts of terrible thoughts crossed her mind, of them tied up and gagged and locked away in their room.
"We have to go now, before Maria comes back," She looked back once to see if they understood and agreed to the plan. Then she guided them all through the door as they rushed for the midway point under the stairs.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
The Baron took off his specs and rubbed them on his vest again out of nervous habit. "Yes Commander, it would seem that now they have." The boy in question turned toward the military leader and thanked him for some previous encounter to which Marquel merely lifted a brow. In his haste to retreat the kid bumped into an expensive stand and was a hairsbreadth away from dropping it. The baron's brows came down hard over his eyes in a nasty scowl. Once the table was righted, he cleared his expression to something a little more cordial. "I understand if you need to be getting home son, but let me call for Judd to escort you. It has to be dark by now and there is no telling what sort of ill-reputed scum is walking the streets at this hour."
Marquel reached into his vest pocket and tapped a small almost imperceptible button on the side of his pocket watch. It would send out a silent pulse, wavelength of sort, that they used to vibrate a little bell in the servants quarters in the back of the house. It was how he was able to summon help his staff.

"Ahahaha... really, it ain' no trouble. I need ta be gettin' to work tonight anyways. Just gonna stop by one'a my stash pots an' pick up some supplies, then I'm out ta the woods." Danny pulled his scarf higher up as he scratched his nose nervously. "Really, thank'ya fer yer kindness and the tea an' all that... but I can' be a bother to ya no more. So, if Mister Judd'll jus' show me the way outta here, off the grounds, that'd be great..."
Danny stood where he was, as straight as an arrow and about as taught as a bowstring. Rich people...
Ikuze nods at Caitlin before setting off down the hallway as fast and silent as she could, her eyes darting at the walls in case any traps or servants came across them as she slipped her guitar from its position on her back so that she held the neck of it, ready to bring it to play if need be. She ducked under the aforementioned stair-case, and peeked out from its concealing shadows into the lit hallway, slowing her breathing as a butler walked past... and into the room that Caitlin had told them to go to.
"Well... definitely something going on in there..." she whispered. "Kinda thinking next time we pull a job like this, we get disguises or something..." The blue haired thief tried to picture herself in the maid uniform that she'd seen that Maria woman in earlier, and then shrugged. So long as there ain't no tight-arse corset should be fine. Once the coast was clear, she made for the door and then pressed herself against the wall where the hinges would be, so that when the door swung open, she'd be covered by it... At least when someone was coming from that side at least. The girl pressed her ear to the wall so she could listen in.

Caitlin watched Ikuze and Rava's back as they darted down the rest of the hall to press themselves into the corner behind the study door. Her eyes grew round in horror as she spotted Judd coming toward the study. Worst, timing, ever. Her mind raced to come up with a rescue plan to get them out of there but then she realized they already had an alibi. She on the other hand didn't. Hoping that whoever had taken advantage of her father would dismiss the two girls without giving them much grief, she left them to their own clever devices as she tiptoed past Judd's back and made her way quickly up the stairs.
"Ahem." Judd cleared his throat as he stood tall and imposing behind the two young ladies with their ears pressed to the study door. He blocked their path of escape, using his size to narrow their options to either shrinking into the corner or slipping through the office door. Judd wasn't an easy man to deal with, being the head of staff on the estate. He tended to be a bit of a stiff and often made the younger maids cry. "It's rude to lurk. Should I announce your arrival?" He didn't sound like he was ready to fall for any of their excuses, and really it was a rhetorical question. He planned to open the door and show them both in regardless of their reasons for eavesdropping. They would get their chance to explain themselves to the Baron if they had any explanation for being here at all.
Rava's inner Swooping scenes kicked in as she turned to see the towering man over then which made Rava not like that one bit , so like her normal response to being found she desired to Run up to the man Jump at the man and attempted to knock him out before he could raise the guards and make a lot of swooping coming on them. defenseless or not she was making sure that this man was going to have a very good sleep tonight, since at this point her face alone was a huge bounty so she may as well. (( attempt to knock out Jeeves , her natural reaction on sneaking missions ))
Ikuze mentally facepalmed at their discovery. Rookie mistake... she thought to herself, waiting for Rava to go into alibi mode. Instead she went into full-on assault mode. "Stop!" she said, lacing her word with her Hypnosis, as strong as she could make it to get Rava to cease her attack before she did any real damage to the man. "Sorry sir! I am so so so sorry! My cousin gets a little jumpy when spooked." she quickly explained, hoping that Rava would for once play along. "She got it in her head to try and pawn me off as the Baron's missing girl, with some dyed hair job or something, even though natural blue... Please don't be mad." she said, lacing the last four words with her Hypnosis, this time targeting the butler.
He took a seat as Danny left, grimacing slightly as the trinket almost fell. He didn't have to look at the Barron's reaction to know that such a thing would be worth a lot of money. It was a symbol of status, after all, to decorate one's house with priceless artifacts that served little other purpose. Given Skye's own sparse office and his even plainer quarters, it wasn't a need he shared. Still he could appreciate how someone might feel having something like that destroyed.
"So what is it I can do for you this evening, Barron? Other than the obvious. I've already taken care of most of your posters and doubled patrols in the city for the night. Funny thing, though, it seemed as though there was another party interested in getting rid of those posters as well. Is there something you left out in our last conversation as to why your daughter ran away, and where she went?" He didn't really expect the Barron to answer his question fully, but at least it was out there.

Danny turned to and opened the door behind him, only to discover his way was blocked. "Uhehehehe..." He looked first, at the two girls, then up at the towering man, and slowly closed the door. He turned back towards the main part of the room, marched to the seat he had previously been sitting in, and sat down. After a moment, he picked up his cup of tea and took a sip. Rich people...
Danny looked from the Baron to the Commander and huddled smaller into his seat.
Judd raised his hand in front of his face to protect it from the girl lunging at him. She didn't weigh much but her incensed and sudden attack kept his hands full and he couldn't free one up to reach for the door knob. The little blue hair one Shouted for her friend to stop and he was amazed when the girl did exactly what she was told. Then he was told not to be mad. "Right because I have no reason to be mad," he said, but his tone of voice was anything but mad, causing him to stand there and ponder why that was. The door beside them all clicked and softly opened, causing him to turn his head and face Danny.
He looked at Danny.
Danny looked at them.
He looked at the two girls.
Danny closed the door with another soft click.
"Oh no you don't." Judd said, grabbing the two girls both by the scruffs of their shirts with just one of his hands, and pushing the door back open with the other. He shoved at them both to push them through the door like he would a stray dog that had slipped into the house and needed kicked back out. "I told you everything I know," The Baron was in the middle of telling the Commander, even though it was an obvious lie. He was entitled to his secrets, wasn't he?
Danny rejoined them which Marquel didn't mind since Judd hadn't arrived to escort the kid yet. But just as he was thinking that, the man entered the room, escorting two more young women, neither of which resembled his daughter even a little.
"What is the meaning of this?" the Baron asked Judd as calmly as his fried nerves would allow.

The upstairs corridor was completely dark. All of the lights were out and the place was quiet. At least until the glow of Maria's candle caught Caitlin's eye as she tiptoed quietly out of her mothers room with the now- empty tea kettle. What in the world? why would her mom be drinking tea alone in her room while their house was under seize or surveillance or something? She ducked back into the first alcove she could find. She got stuck pulling her knees up to her chest as she climbed up on a console table and tried to squeeze herself into the cutout space. Still as a statue Caitlin waited for Maria and her candle to walk right past her. The woman got so close that she could see the circles under her eyes, the way her hair looked limp and tired. The zombie like walk that screamed she'd been working overtime for a bit too long on end.
She didn't even see Caitlin. It was eerie.
When the hall was pitched back into darkness Caitlin climbed carefully back down and walked brusquely to her mothers door. She pressed her ear against the wood and listened for sounds on the other side. There were no voices. After counting to thirty in her head twice, Caitlin reached for the handle and pushed the door open just a crack. No light spilled out.
"Mama? Papa?" Cait whispered. Chills chased down her spine and a sense of foreboding wrapped around her. The room was too cold. She stepped inside and looked at the open window. Why was that open, it was freezing in here? She made her way over to close it when the moon crept around the edge of the windowframe and let in a beam of soft white light. It landed on the foot of the bed where the sheets formed around the heel of a foot. Caitlin forgot about the window and shuffled toward the bed. "Mama?" It had to be her, the foot was too small to be her fathers. But then her eyes adjusted to the dimness and found the rest of her mothers figure in the bed. Cait's hand flew over her mouth in horror.
Frantically she searched around on the nightstand for a candle or oil lantern. She found one of each but nothing to light it with. She pulled out drawer after drawer looking for something useful when it hit her that she was something useful. Lifting shaky hands, she touched the wick of one after the other and willed a spark to her fingertips. It took a few tries since she was shaking so much and loosing her focus but at last they ignited (Pyromancy I). Slowly, so slowly, Caitlin turned back to the bed and lifted the lantern.
"Yes, what exactly is going on here," The Commander said in the tone he usually reserved for misbehaving recruits. He was already out of his seat and heading towards the perimeter of the disturbance where the blue haired girl and the brown haired girl seemed to be having some argument with the butler. Had it come to this point that these miscreants were now grabbing girls off the street who didn't even look like Caitlin?
"You," Skye said, eyeing Ikuze, "You seem familiar, like we've met before, but I can't seem to recall where. Which is strange, because you'd think a girl with bright blue hair would be quite memorable." His hand was already moving towards the hilt of his sword. Just in case. He wasn't going to draw down on two young girls just yet. Something strange was going on, though. His intuition was telling him this wasn't just a random happenstance.
