Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Caitlin smiled wanly too when Levi said "next time". At least he wasn't giving up. Which was even more of a reason why she shouldn't either. Her feet touched the ground and his hands guided her face to his for a tender kiss. The anger melted away because of the distraction and the constricting feeling in her chest eased. He pulled back and laced fingers with hers.
"Dinner for two? Sounds great, three's a crowd anyway." She spared one last glance at her window, but her father was gone from it. Sighing she started their journey back around the property and toward the exit. "Maybe next time will be better, and if not, then the next time after that. or the one after that. We'll wear him down eventually. I think he just needs a little more exposure, that's all."
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Making their way to the gate his attitude returns to normal, happy, golucky Levi. "Oh, I can give'm all-uh me that he would like." He chuckles to himself, thinking about coming back over and over, repeating the same things only to have the same ending happen. What's the definition of Insanity again? He pushes the gate open and pulls Caitlin through, twirling around as if they were dancing while passing through the gate. "Ya do look soo, sooooo, good. How do'ya do it? What's your secret?" He asks, raising his right eyebrow, but before he could get a reply he continues on "Where would'ya wanna go? What do ya wanna do?" He swings their arms softly back and forth in between them "An' before ya say it, yeah, I'm on the menu...and I'm scrumptious." He kinda snorts, and rolls his eyes.

"Let's be honest, you could give him a lot more of you than he'd like, and we both know it" She shared a laugh with him as she let him lead her out the gate, their hands swinging together between their bodies. "Where to now?" Hmm.. she wasn't sure, but she didn't have time to furrowed her brow in concentration since he followed up the question with a rather dicey comment. Her eyes went wide and then she laughed, doubling over and tugging down his arm linked with hers.
"With such a raving review, how could I say no? You have my curiosity pique dear sir, I dare say I must try out that menu now. Your ship.... or mine?" She asked with glittering eyes.

Levi smiles, licking his lips and biting on the bottom after to hold in a giggle himself as he's pulled down. He kinda looks off to the side, and puts a soft closed-lip smirk on his face as she laughs away. "Captain's quarters, feel like I gotta get a word in with'er..." He looks over at her Caitlin, pausing for a moment to follow up with "And something else, too.." He winks at her and carries there way on down the path, his smile never leaving his face. It's good to be back, he's been gone so long he forgot what it's like just to have her close, and to feel her against him. "We can go at whatever pace ya'd like, don't wanna rush ya there...no matter how exciting it sounds. It's b-e-a-utiful out, an' I wouldn't wanna miss this evening with you looking soo..sooo..mmmm." He uses his free hand to make an 'OK' gesture, and pursing his lips "Fine.."

Caitlin gave a confused look. Just so-so? Ok, Fine? She pressed her lips in a fine line and gave herself an appraising glance. She looked down at her dress, over her shoulder at her back side, and noted how her hair had fallen down. Oh. Well then.
"Right, a walk along the docks wouldn't be amiss," she responded, then lead them both that way. "There's some nice sea food en route, too," she added as she fussed with her hands in her hair, trying futilely to put the pins back into place, or what was left of them.

Levi gently reaches for the hands messing around her head, palming them down. "I like it better this way, n' I mean, 'Fine', as in perfection, nothin' betta'." He offers a lazy one shouldered shrug, "Aye, fish sounds great." His eyes seem to glaze over as his mind wonders about all the ways to prepare fish, and the many, many fish you could find at the docks. Mmmmm. "Get'a few drinks in ya, tell me how ya' really feel then, ay?" He kisses the the crown of her head as the walk down the cobblestone road, the warm sea side breeze rolling through, the harmless creatures chirping and flipping about. It's all so harmonious.

For the briefest of moments, Caitlin forgot about the last half an hour, or the full morning before that. She forgot about everything really as she focused on how it felt to be walking in sunshine next to Levi. Contentment was such a bizarre and incompatible feeling with the rest of her life that for the slightest instant, she forgot who she was. None of it felt real. Her whole life until now felt like a fantasy, some anst driven novel that perhaps she'd only just finished reading and which was still fresh in her mind - but not real of course. But if it wasn't real, then what was? Who had she been all this time? And how had she come to be walking contently next to this rogue, his face pierced with spikes, his eyes glowing a piercing blue under the dark black fringe that passed for bangs.
"You'd be amazed to know what I'm feeling right now," she told him.

Levi peeps "I'm amazed t'hear anything you're thinkin'." He smiles as the soles of their shoes clap along the stone walk way, his four fingers holding onto hers, his thumb rubbing the side of her hand. "I know what I feel like doin, after some grub." He smiles brightly, showing his pearly whites off with spread cheeks, he pulls among the shirt tucked into his pants, and frees himself up in a couple of places. "I'unno how ya do it, it's stuffy actin' classy." He blurts out as he acts like his tipping a wine glass, pinky out.

"Rigorous years of training and discipline," she confided. He looked better this way. At least she thought so. Disheveled was such a good look on him. Unlike other men he didn't look drunk or stank, he just looked rougish, dark and mysterious. It came so natural to him it almost wasn't fair. But then again he didn't look half bad with his hair combed back and tucked into a nice suit. "With a little more work, I think you could pull it off. Better luck next time I Suppose." She gave a dramatic sigh, as if his attempts at classiness had been an experiment gone wrong.
The way her eyes appraised him told a different story though. There wasn't much disappointment to be had. "It's a wonder how you can be so charismatic, and yet so uncouth at the same time."

Discipline and training is not something that Levi is distant from, but bringing it up and...WORK makes him shudder and stick his tongue as if he's just licked a sour treat, smiling joyfully afterwards, just happy to be side by side with Cait, until she hits him with a backhanded compliment, causing him to muscle up a gasping expression as he draws his open palm back to his chest, to make sure his heart didn't stop after all.
He holds the pose for dramatic effect before continuing on the path, close to the docks now, as he drops his guise and peeps. "Ya' see, I don't care wha' people think of me. N'uuuuuuuuuun...Well, maybe one." He says, stealing a quick glance out of the corner of his eye at her. "But I mean, do ya' really wanna spend your life all..prim AND proper..?" He says, puffing his chest up for effect.

He actually stopped her in her tracks, and she looked at him with a bit of a puzzled expression. After a heavy silence she titled her head to the side and asked the rogue: "You really think I'm both prim AND proper?" A brazen smile spread across her face. Pirating aside, getting into bed with him must have disqualified her for at least one of those attributes.
