Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

“One second,” Lasair answered, taking a step away from the building before looking up at the window, squinting at it. He couldn’t see it perfectly, but it was well enough. He mumbled a few words and cast Telekinesis, first rank, on the lock. A snap sounded through the air and he nodded back to the twins. “It’s open now.”
Before both of them climbed up, Lasair pulled out a rope and gave it to them, so that they could hold it and let him climb up after. But before he did that he took a few steps down the alley and peaked into a window near the street. Ouch, four against one. That wasn’t good; a lot worse than Lasair was expecting. “Get ready, I’m giving them a distraction,” he called to the boys. He then bent down and picked up a rock, an angular piece of cobblestone that had probably been kicked up by a horse. Holding the weight in his hand, he chucked it through the window and used a cast of Kinetic II in the same moment, using the increase in speed to bolt up the rope and pull it up after them before anyone looking out would notice. “That should draw their attention outside,” he commented. At least that was his hope.
Turning now, he looked over the room they entered. A bedroom of sorts, probably for the kids. Not what they needed. “It’s ether in the parents’ room or the study, if they have one.” He couldn’t be sure; the house was small but perhaps not too small. Either way, he hoped Lillian was doing okay downstairs. If he heard anything suspicious, he could run down to rescue her too.

A shattering sound filled the room, and glass along with it, from the front windows. Lillian shielded herself with her arm, luckily far enough away to not be hurt. The others weren't hurt either. Gasps and a scream from Lori were also present. The sound stopped, and the area settled in stunned silence. It felt light on Lillian's ears. The soft clopping of hooves, far away outside the store was the only thing audible, and it was a sweet sound to Lillian. The silence was broken by a panicked, "M-mother?" from one of the teenagers. Lori regained her wits, momentarily forgetting about Lillian's existence, and frantically asking both of her children if they'd been hurt. They both replied negatively. She turned to her husband asking, "What on Earth has just happened?" He stuttered, and mumbled, his reply inaudible.
Lillian assumed this was something done by Lasair, Emelo, or Leo. The timing was just too obvious, to Lillian, for it to be a coincidence, especially because she saw no reason the glass should have broken, so it was not just some mistake. She wasn't entirely sure what it was for, but she assumed they were inside by now, and it was something she could use to her advantage. Thank you... she said mentally. "I have gloves." Lillian spoke, holding up her hands. "Let me pick up some of this glass. You go outside and see who has done this. They're likely a trickster, running away as we speak. Go on! Catch them!" Lori nodded, and she ordered the teenagers to stay put, presumably to watch her, as her and her husband left the store to look for some mischievous child that didn't exist down the street somewhere.
Lillian began picking up the glass pieces that lay on the floor. She watched the teenagers from the corner of her eye, making sure they didn't do anything suspicious that could be potentially dangerous to Lillian, and to make sure they didn't leave the room. The girl winced and Lillian stopped working as she announced, "I've gotten a cut from the glass, I'll be right back." She then whispered to her brother, "Watch her." Not knowing where in the building Lillian's guildmates were, or where the girl was going, Lillian called, "wait." The girl turned to look at Lillian with a scornful eye, as if to say, you dare command me?
"I can heal it." Lillian smiled, pretending to appear friendly rather than terrified, though her heart was pounding. What if she refused and went into a room and discovered them there? She knew it was possible. A beggar, an ander, a stranger. Why should, or would, she let Lillian heal her? But the girl turned up her nose and nodded once, curtly. "No, don't go near her. She's disgusting," her brother spoke to her. Lillian fought the urge to cast a withering glare in the boy's direction, then motioned for the girl to come near, which, luckily, she did. Lillian put her hand over the girl's cut, and the girl twisted her face into a look of repulsion at the contact. Wow, the kids weren't as good as acting as their parents. Their hatred was very obvious. She lifted her hand, and the cut was gone. She smiled at the girl, who gulped, then sneered, "Your kind is unnatural." Ungrateful brat... Lillian looked down, an expression of faux shame washing over her features. It's better to have them think they've hurt her feelings. Let them underestimate her.
The girl sat back down next to her brother, haughtily raising her book to her nose again, but obviously watching Lillian over the top of it. Lillian resumed picking up the glass and discreetly watching her own back, while they all waited for their parents to return from their wild goose chase. As Lillian observed the girl becoming more engrossed in her novel, she got the feeling the children wouldn't hurt her (though, of course, she wasn't letting her guard down for anything). This wasted a good amount of time, and she was glad for it.

Once the window was unlocked the two made their way up and in. One watched from the inside as the other held the rope for Lasair. The idea of an outside distraction sounded good, after all if more people were outside rather than in everyone would have a slightly easier time. As the rock hit the window and shattered the glass the two listened some to see if they could hear anything that was being said, it was no good though, everything was a bit muffled, besides they weren't here to listen in they were here to grab what they could and get out. Once Lasair was in the two began to look around the room a bit more only to see that it wasn't the room they needed. The two nodded at Lasair's comment, keeping that thought in mind for when they head out and search the rest of the place.
"Shall we fan out and search the all rooms or stick together and look for either the study or bedroom?" Emelo asked not to sure which way would be the faster and more efficient way.
Meanwhile Leo was trying to see if anyone was outside the room, from the sounds of it no, but the door was shut and sounds were muffled. He concentrated on that while Emelo waited for an answer.
Because two heads are better than one.
