She watched his expression change, how his fear and madness turned to realisation, to acceptance. She watched the insanity drain from his eyes as he came to terms that there would be no more running away, she would not let him, and that there was but two paths ahead. To admit to his crimes against his friends, to his fellow kind and mother earth, or to beg for his life and die anyway. She watched the smile slip from his lips as he came to terms that begging and groveling and hoping someone would forgive him for all that he had done would never be enough, and she watched as he finally accepted his payment.
“Kill me.”
The first hints of a true smile pulled at her features, an almost proud glimmer in her burning eyes. Almost delicately, her hands moved to take his face into her own, stroking his pronounced cheeks with her thumbs affectionately.
“For the people you have betrayed,” She murmured, shifting to settle her legs on either side of him so she was sitting on his upper stomach. “For the beings you have tortured,” She leaned forward slightly, “For the lives you have stolen,” She was right above him now, “For the earth you have stained.” Her lips brushed against his, feather light.
“pàigheadh airson do pheacaidhean”
Her lips pressed to his delicately at first, but then more firmly, the chaptness of her mouth dragging across his own. The action could have almost seemed loving as she eased his lips open with her own and slipped her tongue to glide against his own. Then… Then came the fire.
Flames poured from her mouth to his. They funneled down his throat, they drowned his lungs. They seared and corroded everything in their path. Next came the spews of hellfire from her hands, encompassing the sides of his head, and then from where she sat, coating his stomach and spreading to the rest of his body in bright flares of swirling dark purples and blues, of bright streaks of greens and pinks, dotted in twinkling pin points like stars. She let the flames consume him as she pulled back, the fire encompassing her hands and her legs and pouring from her back though they burned not her, but him, and she watched with an almost mesmerized stare as the body below her burned in his sins.
