Fawna Evans and Sayvahn like this

Open to Sayvahn firstly, and Emelo and Leo Halvorsen and Fawna Evans secondly. All other MI members are welcome to join, just remember that Sayvahn will be the center of this. Also, if any one person takes too long to answer, their actions may be assumed so that the thread can continue. No hard feelings, but we need to keep things moving.
The city may be at war with Sveden, but that didn’t mean the shadow beasts were taking a break. A Nightstalker had been sighted in the forest outside of the usual territory they inhabited. And while Lasair would have normally gone out to personally send it back to its area, this one was just too fast. It normally took a shadow beast a few days, maybe even a week, to traverse from the deeper forest to the city limits. This one had managed to make the trek in two days. There wasn’t enough time to set up a counter against it in the woods, which meant countering it in the city.
There really wasn’t much notice, much time to prepare, but he had warned Sayvahn that his trial could happen at any moment, and it was happening right now. Fawna was in the sky, flying back and forth between the forest and the where the group was stationed. Her task was to track the beast and give reports on how far it was from the city limits. She did this in the form of dropping branches to the ground team. Three for still a ways off, two for getting close, one for almost here, and none for its arrival. Presently, she had just dropped two branches, which meant not much time was remaining.
The twins were here as well, to offer back up for Sayvahn, as were any other members willing to take up the fight. They stood in the remains of an abandoned building, one of the walls having collapsed into rubble. Looking to Sayvahn and his mask of wood, Lasair addressed him. “Tree, you’re up first when the beast gets here. Try to send it back into the woods and if you have to, kill it. Black and White,” he said next, turning to the twins (He preferred the combo of colors to the ‘yin yang’ name). “You’re to flank him on either side. Do not let the beast get to the city. Not many people live in the outskirts of the hovel, but there are still some. Protect the civilians at all costs; do not let them get in harms way. After Owl delivers the final warning, she’ll scout ahead and try to get people away from the battle. Still, there could always be people hiding so be on the lookout. When she thinks it’s clear, she’ll join you in the battle.”
Lasair was very thankful that he had the chance to talk to Fawna ahead of time and give her the details. He hadn’t been as lucky with the rest of the people. At the very least he hoped they had read the Shadow Beast Log…
No time to dwell on it now. “The next update should be coming any moment now. It'll be either two again or dropped down to one.” He turned his masked eyes towards the sky, trying to spot a pair of wings while the others around him could make any last moment preparations.
