Open to Uriah Han
Fall was never predictable. One moment it was tame and sunny the next it was frigid and overcast. Today the wind howled as it tore through the city's streets and whipped at the Hunter's clothing. Rain pounded the earth mercilessly and gave no signs of ceasing. Kalum had forgone his hood long ago as the wind had fought against him at every turn. The hair framing his face was now plastered to it while the rest whipped about in the harsh wind.
Overhead dark clouds filled the sky in a thick canopy that shut out most of the world's light leaving Lodan shrouded in darkness and a sensation of time alteration since it felt as though they were nearing evening despite that the time was only noon. Few people were out on the streets and that had been unwise of them given the current conditions.
The huntsman took his chance to duck beneath an awning when it presented itself and stood for a moment while thinking to himself. He had been off duty when the call came out that an ander was on the run and that any personnel near the vicinity should be alert. The target was nothing more than a petty thief, he knew, but still dangerous because of their origins. A bead of water trickled down the length of Kalum's nose then hung at the edge a moment before breaking off to fall upon the ground where the rest of the water on his person had dripped. With every breath he released it fogged due to the clashing of hot air with cold. Stormy colored eyes gazed up and down the streets and then he caught sight of movement fleeing around the corner of an alleyway. The huntsman wasted no time in dismounting his bow off his back and giving chase.
