Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Fawn held two grocery bags, one in either arm, whilst reading a long list comprised of two papers tacked together who knows how. She was murmuring to herself slightly irritated that her Aunt Rose couldn't have at least shortened the ration list. It called for an inhuman amount of butter. Heaven only knew why! Besides what store would sell out more than four tubs of butter, let alone the twenty her Aunt asked for? Great Scotts the woman had gone off the rocker years ago but this was getting ridiculous. Last week it was four pounds of feather down. Fawn still hadn't found out what the woman did with it yet but stray feathers kept appearing in the oddest of places. Sighing she tucked the paper away into her pocket with a weird shuffling movement and carried on down he street. Her expression deadpanned when she watched a few oranges roll out of the top of her bag from the movement and tumble a few feet from her. 'Well drat...'
Fawn compromised for her problem by tapping the oranges along one at a time with her boots in a slow bee-line through the street. Her concentration centered solely on the fruits. She had half a mind just to leave them in the road. But her Aunt would pitch a fit and no amount of explaining the situation would make up for it. She couldn't bend down and pick them up without risking the stability of her other bags. The woman probably looked absolutely idiotic lightly kicking oranges and she knew it. Fawn inched on ignoring any curious stares.

Like any other day, Kalum found himself patrolling the streets as his work dictated though luckily his shift would be close to an end and another would replace him. As he rounded the corner he caught sight of a girl on the opposite end of the street kicking along... oranges? Either way, her hands were all too full. With a small frown the raven haired huntsman looked up and down the streets before crossing to kneel down and gather the fruit before she kicked them along again while stating, "here, let me help you with that." When he stood to full height, he offered her a gentle smile then settled the fruit in her bags. "Allow me to carry those for you, miss?"
Fawn was about to mutter a string of creative curses as she began to kick the orange but it was swiped from under her feet. She blinked in surprise at the stranger, her gaze running over his dark hair and ERIAL uniform before she gave a curious smile. After he put the oranges in the bag she realized he was talking to her. "Um oh! Sure, thank you!" She only handed him one though, she could still carry at least her own share of the load. "I appreciate the help sir." She smiled and shuffled the bag to wrap both her arms around it. Most ERIAL officers didn't usually show this level of compassion, at least not the ones she had met. The woman looked back down at the road walking in silence for a moment. She decided to skip the butter on the list now that there was someone else in the vicinity. Her Aunt would just have to deal with it.

He accepted the bag offered to him and did not press further to hold the other as he felt she would highly decline--most tended to. "Of course," he replied with a warm smile. "Letting you continue on like that would have been an injustice. I am highly surprised no one else has offered you aid. Are all people in the city distant from one another?" In the country where he had grown any proper gent would have jumped to aid a lass in need of help and the women were no different. Everyone was helpful to one another. "Have you anymore shopping to do, miss? Or were you perhaps on your way home? Ah, pardon, where are my manners. I am Kalum."
"An injustice eh? I figured it would just be plain amusing!" Fawn chuckled. "And it's not that were distant it's just we all have quite the sense of humor." The woman blew a stand of minty green hair out of her face. She pondered the offer and shook her head. She could finish her shopping another day and go after those twenty tubs of butter some other time when she had enough patience and willpower. It's not like the woman really needed that ungodly amount of butter anyways. It would go straight to the woman's hips. "I was just on my way home actually, you have good timing Kalum." She tried his name out a little timidly, "I'm Fawn, it's a pleasure to meet you!" The green haired woman gave him a small nod.

"Injustice. Clearly you were in trouble," he replied though his smile lingered and his voice spoke volumes of amusement and mild jesting. "The sense of humor this city has is most certainly an interesting one," he continued and studied her a moment before looking down the street which they were now walking. At her last words, he looked back down at her and his smile brightened. "Well, miss Fawn, I do try. Where is your home located? In Central Square?" Her unusual hair would tell him no but he wasn't all too sure either. The amount of people he'd seen with colored hair of unnatural origin was striking but dyes seemed popular here.

"Come on do we really need to be here?" Leo said, with irritation in his voice, "Can't we do this later?" He asked with a loud sigh, shoving his hands behind his head and leaning up against the nearest wall.
"Well do you want to eat?" Emelo asked as he turned back to the local baker and picked out two things of bread. Some what ignoring his brother, after all this did happen whenever they had to go shopping.
Letting out another sigh Leo turned his head away from his brother some only to give a slight pout, "Ya..." He said under his breath as he turned back around, seeing the bread his brother just got. Pushing off from the wall he shoved his hands into his pockets and walked over behind his brother, "I want butter to go with that."
Sighing some Emelo thanked the man and handed him the money they owed before turning and beginning to walk off, "Well if you want butter your going to have to find some place that sells it." Emelo said with a straight face as he added the bread to their small bag of food that was slowly growing in size. "I don't know of any place that sells the stuff so if you want it your going to have to find it." He added as he looked on ahead of them, only to see a familiar green head of hair walking next to someone.
"Uhhhhhggggg....." Leo grunted as he kicked at the dirt at his feet, he hated shopping with his brother and hated it even more when he had to find something on his own. "Why me?..." He asked as he looked up to see the same familiar head of hair. Perking up some a plan came into mind, after all this girl had been here longer than these to had.
"Because your the one who wants it!" Emelo said with a bit of anger to his voice. His brother really did know how to push his buttons. Sighing some e decided it may be nice to see how Miss Fawna was doing.
Walking past his brother Leo began to make his way over to where the girl and the mystery man were. "Well hey there!" He called out as he raised his right hand some, with his thumb, pointer finger and middle finger all extended and pointing upward, "If it isn't the lady with green hair!" He said with a smile.
Emelo sighed some at his brother as he walked up to them, smiling lightly, "Hello Fawna. Nice to see you."
"Very interesting." Fawn agreed before nearly doing a double take. "I wish but no not quite as fancy as Central Square." Did she look that rich? Well, maybe it was about time for her looks to pay up then she mused dryly. "Try the very back of the Merchants District, in those forgotten little corners." Fawn shrugged a little but before she could carry on two identical faces appears out of the crowd. She knew those gingers from a mile away. "Hi boys!" She laughed a bit. "Still fascinated with my hair I see." Fawn smirked at him. She rocked her weight to one side propping the bag up on one hip in a slightly sassy way. Emelo was behind Leo, who at the moment was blocking her view. The woman leaned out to the side a little, "Hey darlin'. I'm doing good." She gave him a small wave. She was a little more open with these two having met them before. She liked them, they had quite the character. Plus they hadn't seen her kicking oranges down the street. That was just embarrassing all around. "Kalum meet some friends of mine, Emelo and Leo." She introduced the dark haired officer to her spunky little friends. She didn't want to exclude him from the conversation, he was helping her after all. With that she gave them time to finish the introduction if they liked before asking the twins, "You two shopping as well?"

"Ah, I will be quite honest, Miss Fawn, I am not all too familiar with the merchant's district so nothing is yet forgotten there until I've first had the chance to see it." She did not look rich, no, but she did not look of poverty either. Social standing was not something he cared much for--in fact, it was something he found to be baffling at how much of importance it was within the city. Their conversation was cut short by the approach of the twin boys and although one had blocked the other from view, Kalum's height presented him an advantage Fawn did not have. "Good day," he spoke quietly to the two and eyed them. Twins were something of a rarity so seeing the two look alike boys was rather surprising. The huntsman said nothing more as he had already been introduced but he bowed his head in greeting nonetheless.

Leo smiled slightly and raised his hand and waved it some the same way he did before as the girl introduced the two of them. "Nice to meet ya."
Emelo walked up behind his brother and then stood to the left of him, "Hello!" Emelo said with a smile as he offered a hand to the man, after all it would be rude not to offer. "I'm Emelo." He added so Kalum wouldn't get to confused, hopefully.
Turning some Leo looked over to the girl and gave out a large sigh, "Ya we are..." He said, disappointment in his voice. A smirk soon came form that as he took a step closer to the girl and wrapped an arm over her shoulder, "But ya know what?" He began.
"Ya we are just finishing up." Emelo said, ignoring his brothers sigh but not missing a beat when he began to ask his question. Emelo stared at him with a rather stern face, "Don't. You. Darn."
Emelo was only greeted with a large smirk from Leo's face. He turned his attention back to Fawna, "So... I need your help. You know your way around this place so you must know where one can find something, right?" He said quickly, making sure his brother couldn't get a word in. "So ya got to know where you can find some butter right?!" He asked with a smile as he lean up lightly against the girl and gave her somewhat large puppy eyes. "Can you help me?"
"L really!?" Emelo protested as he stared at his brother, "I told you that if you wanted it yo-" He was then cut off by a hand in front of his mouth.
Leo had some how gotten away from Fawna, made his way to his brother, put a hand over his shoulder, leaned up against him, and put a shushing like hand over the brothers mouth, Leo smiling the entire time, "Oh come now E, don't be mean." He said leaning up against the brother some more, trying to keep him from talking, "Anyway, Fawna, as you were." He said with a light smile.
Fawn watched Leo sigh and Emelo try to cover it up. She looked over her shoulder to give Kalum an amused roll of her brown eyes. But before she could say anything to him she felt a weight on her shoulders, it was Leo. The woman arched an elegant eyebrow at him. She smirked finding his boldness absolutely adorable. Butter? Not that dratted word again. She supported his weight easily sliding one foot sideways to gain better balance. "I suppose...." She began before Leo interrupted Emelo. The woman snapped her finger and pointed sternly at Leo. "Let him go." She then placed that hand on her hip, "I don't mind showing ya where its at. I'll just take Leo if you want Emelo and you can visit another store until we get done."

"Tis nice to meet you as well," replied the soldier who then shuffled the bag around in his arm so that he may accept the offered hand in greeting. The boy might notice Kalum's grip was a bit firm than most would deem necessary but no malice could be detected on his features. When they drew apart and one of the two boys had hooked an arm around Fawn, Kalum lifted his brow then watched as the two rejoined. What an interesting turn of events, he mused to himself.

Leo raised both hands up and took a step back, looking as though he hand just been caught, "Alright, alright..." He said as he took a few steps back, away from his brother some. "He has to go with us." Leo said as he shoved his hands in his pockets, "He has all our money. I'm technically broke." He added as he grabbed the insides of his pockets and pulled them out, revealing they were empty.
Emelo sighed some as he brother removed his hand form his mouth. It seemed as though he could never win against his brother... Oh well. "I don't trust him with money. Knowing him he would spend it on something stupid." Emelo said as he looked over to his brother.
Leo shrugged some as he smirked at his brothers words, "Guilty..." Leo said as he shoved his pockets back in and kept his hands in there as well.
Shaking his head some he looked away from his brother and over to the two, "If you wouldn't mind we would really appreciate it if you showed us the way." Emelo said with a smile, as he moved the bag from his left hand to his right.
"Hey while your at it why not just ask them for a tour of the city." Leo said with a smirk as he walked over to Fawna.
"Your the one who wanted the butter in the first place!" Emelo said with his voice raised some, letting his anger towards his brother show through.
Leo just stood behind the girl some and snickered some at the other twin.
Fawn lost her stern look as the two talked. "Tsk, tsk. Shame on you Leo." She grinned. "And I hope y'all don't mind if I drop these bags off first? My house isn't that far from here." Fawn was trying to make this as convenient for Kalum as possible. She didn't want him to have to stay longer than necessary, it would seem rude. She pondered the situation in front of her and figured she could also just make Leo and Emelo carry them. She chuckled at the idea. The woman was snapped out of her reverie when she heard one of them beginning to raise their voice. Emelo was getting annoyed at his brother, Fawn could hear it in his tone. "Oh knock it off." She said before reaching behind her to Leo and grabbing his arm to pull him forward and looping hers around it. She would have done the same to the other twin but she had a bag in her other hand. He would be spared from her grasp for a little while. She began to continue on her way. "So Kalum, nothing is forgotten until you've seen it?" Fawn quirked moving back to what he had said earlier before the whole brother skirmish.

"In a way. I had meant you cannot forget something that you never knew. Even then some have better memories than others." The tips of his ears went red though his expression never changed and he let out a sigh as he eyed the two boys. "If the shop is closer than your home, miss Fawn, I would not mind stopping if you would prefer. Doing so might save you and the lads some time. If not, then to your home I shall continue to accompany." As he continued to eye the two boys his expression softened. They did unfortunately remind him of someone.
