Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to MI, special invitation to Fawna Evans and Edith Tober Books in English? Check. Books in Anderswelter? Check. A cipher between them? Well....
Lasair had been spending a large chunk of his free time at the HQ library, trying to decode the Anders' language. He's at least found a book that gave a sample of their script, which allowed him to gather quite a few old tombs in the language, but translating them was far from easy. He'd been working on this one book for at least an hour now, with very little progress to show for it. He rubbed his temples, grumbling to himself. A break was needed, yes, maybe even some fresh forest air. He stood up and closed the books, returning them to their shelves before turning to walk through HQ. Finding his way around wasn't so difficult anymore; if he just thought about where he wanted to go, he'd usually end up there.
But right now he didn't any any exact place in mind, so he walked forward, wondering if anyone was around for him to run into.
A noise that that sounded like a grunt and a sigh escaped Edith as she wandered about the HQ for M.I., today wasn't exactly a bad day... but it wasn't a good one either. Heck, she was just bored out of her mind. Considering that she was new and all to M.I. she wasn't exactly sure if there were 'restricted zones' of the building where she wasn't allowed to wander. Sticking to what she thought was the main hall, she caught a glimpse of bright read hair that was definitely familiar walking on one of the side halls.
"Hello there Lupen!" Maybe he knew of somewhere interesting in HQ that she could go to.
Fawn walked among the halls of HQ in all of her sassy glory. She was trying to memorize her own personal landmarks inside as reference for getting around. She had her arms crossed in a relaxed way and was looking up, down, and all around. The woman was really looking for the library. Despite her eagerness she saw one of the few people she knew around these parts. The tall and broad one was Edith. A very nice person according to Fawna, mainly because the girl wasn't about to say anything against her. Fawn ran a hand through her mint green hair wandered over to see who on earth Edith was speaking to. 'Lupen eh?' She thought smirking. She cleared her throat as to not startle the woman before saying, "Greetings Edith." The smile she wore turned to a smirk as the smaller girl stuck her head around the corner and called out to Lasair. "Hey there carrot top!" Giving a sarcastic little wave Fawn backed up again to watch events unfold.

Lasair looked up at he heard his name. The new recruit, Edith was there, looking a bit lost. A common thing for new members; it was just the other day that he still felt quite lost.
As he approached her, who should appear but the other recruit from that night? “Hello you two,” he greeted with a smile. “What brings you to the headquarters today?” It was always a pleasure to see the halls be anything but empty. Hopefully the two ladies would stay and chat a while.
Edith gave a warm grin to Fawn. She already felt an attachment to the girl because they had joined together, it was nice to see her again, and turned back to address Lasair, "To be honest, mostly boredom. That and I'm not entirely sure of where everything is in HQ."
Fawn put a hand on her hip and shifted her weight. "Same here, I put myself to work tryin' to learn my way around." She motioned to the hall. "And tryin' to find the blasted library." She grinned. The place had eluded her since she got here. But now she would rather stay with her companions for awhile.

“I remember the days when I would get lost,” he chuckled before continuing. “I just came from the library, would you like me to show you the way? It’s never a problem to show pretty ladies around.” He stepped to the side and held an arm out, gesturing for them to walk in the direction he had just come from. Ladies first, after all. But the rest of the locations they’d have to find on their own. He wanted to see the look on their faces when they entered the grant room, floor to ceiling bookshelves as far as the eye could see. It was a sight to behold, and Lasair still felt that wonder despite having entered it many times before.
Edith walked forward, forehead creased in confusion. Lasair appeared younger then her, but he already spoke with this place with such familiarity. Perhaps he wasn't just a lacky assigned to help the greenhorns out. Looking at him, she felt the need to know for sure.
"So, how long have you been here then? If you don't mind me askin' that is?"
Fawna nodded eagerly, her green hair flicking with the movement. The library was her sole purpose in life at the minute. She kept pace with Edith, her first friend in the guild. They were recruited together and that made her the one Fawna felt the most comfortable around. And if Lasair just came from the legendary library then he must be a bit of a bookworm to some degree. Edith was asking him questions but Fawn wad only half-listening. She needed to make sure she remembered how to get here. Her brown eyes took in everything.

Turning on his heels, he led the two ladies back towards the library with a smile on his face. “I’ve been in MI for about a year now. Stayed away from HQ at first though. But I warmed up to the building and have spent the larger portion of the last six months around here. It’s like a second home to me now.”
As they came to the end of the hall, he stepped to the side and held an arm out for them to enter. “Any how, I present to you, the library.” Bookshelves that went from floor to ceiling, the ceiling being about twelve feet in the air, rafters that would make very nice places to sit, tables and chairs all around; some littered with books and papers, some not. And the air smelled of worn paper, which would intensify if one of the books were opened. This place felt like it was ancient.
