Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to Edelweiss FjärilIkuze Storm and if you think you should be there, feel free to ask to join One could not simply say no when a guild leader asked to meet with you, Lasair understood that much. So when a message arrived from Edelweiss asking to meet with him at one of the theaters, he got ready and headed on over. Wanting to look sharp, he chose an outfit that would hopefully be appropriate. A vest, dress pants, and a hat should do it.
He made his way over to the theater mentioned in her message and stood around near the entrance. He was probably a little early, but that was okay, better to be early than late. Casting his eyes to a nearby street performer, he waited to see what would come.

As Edelweiss was working in the theater, checking the paperwork and structures that were being built at the stage for a particularly elaborate play that evening, she still looked (for the third time now) at the red-haired lad who was standing at the entrance. She knew the guy, and could reember his name was Lasair, from the MI guild - whom by the way she'd been having ideas of contacting lately indeed. Lasair was all dressed up for what seemed to be a fancy occasion even, although she seemed to be feeling a little bad that whomever he seemed to be waiting for still didn't show up. One of the street performing younglings was keeping him distracted while her present workers within the building kept gesturing towards him and otherwise making her look over there for apparently no reason.
"Alright, that's enough. What exactly are you lot planning?" The redhaired woman asked the entertainers with a sigh, rubbing the bridge of her own nose.
"Nothing. We just did you a favor~ "
"And what is that supposed to mean? "
"Well, you looked so lonely and bored lately, and that noble who looks like your cat isn't around today to have fun teasing him, so we told Pretty Boy over there you wanted to have a chat and called him over. You're welcome. "
Edelweiss groaned. Audibly. Had she been sitting at a desk or table she might have gretted the wood top with her own face even. Seriously, she had her own work to do other than being set on a friendly date without her own consent... On a second thought though, she -had- been meaning to try contacting someone from MI sooner or later and see if she could meet their Leader, and in case yes, discuss some things about their guilds. Maybe Lasair could actually help with that, so prank or not that meeting was a quite fortunate chance to have a business talk. She could work with that. She left the papers on the nearest flat surface available and gone to meet the other redhead at the theater entrance, greeting him with a little wave. "Good afternoon, Lasair. Thanks for coming."

Looking away from the performer, Lasair greeted the other red head with a smile and short bow. “Not a problem, I’m happy to see you again. Was there any purpose to this visit or did you just want to have a nice night together?” While he waited for her to appear, he had been thinking about what this visit could be about. As much as he hoped it was just to spend a pleasant evening together, he also had a feeling that there was something else behind it. A shame really, he’d love to show her a fun time, especially if she worked too much.

"There's a purpose, actually."
Although 'my oh-so-very-cheerful workers decided to plot an 'innocent date' behind my back for their own merry amusement' wasn't a very orthodox nor usual purpose, and she figured she could skip this awkward explanation and just mention what she decided to use this meeting to talk about. She gestured for them to start walking till inside the theater and chose a row of seats in a quieter area away from the theater workers were they could talk freely without unwanted ears eavesdropping.
"I've thought of our chat from some time ago, and our... groups, seem to have some nice similarities for goal. So I figured it would be good to meet your Leader personally. You're the member from there I have the easiest time contacting," Since most of them were hidden, in plain sight or not, while Lasair actually had a shop and known place of inhabitation. "so I figured I'd talk to you about meeting them if you think it's affordable."

Nodding, he followed her inside. It was a shame that this wouldn’t be a fun time, but that was okay. He took off his hat as they sat and listened closely as she spoke, nodding before replying. “That could possibly be arranged. However I would like to ask what sort of meeting it would be first. Our leader isn’t the most easily persuaded, so I’d like to approach with the best argument I can.”
Given how this meeting was more than it seemed, he had a feeling that a meeting with the great and powerful Danny would be more than it seemed as well. It would be better not to have any surprises, which meant asking for the information now rather than later.

"Just a meeting to sort out things that might mutually benefit us." She told simply. "You see, there are also Anders, and others of Ander descendance in CAEsAL. And many of them are quite young. I'd like to be able to offer them better grounds to improve their own magic skills, and am sure CAEsAL itself should have something you can use as well. Information, perhaps? Surveilance. Or even protection for moving around more freely if you wish. We have a pretty good net of personel."
And the old saying tells 'one hand washes the other'. MI was the only guild she didn't have proper contact with (not counting the EIRALs but their was to be expected), and Edelweiss hoped to change it in a manner they could offer help in various regards.
"So basically, I want to propose an alliance for mutual assistance in diverse matters. Of course, that will depend on your leader. It can't be something one-sided - therefore the need of meeting them."

“Entertainers providing protection? Somehow I’m not surprised,” he mused, looking over at her. “We don’t have many mages, but I suppose one could be found to teach some young’ins.” His mind drifted to Lefiruc, who seemed to like children.
Thinking over the deal, Lasair couldn’t see much wrong with it. Well, assuming Danny went along. But it could well, and probably would. “Would you be the only one meeting them? Or did you want to bring someone else along?”

Edelweiss chuckled at hearing that comment about entertainers offering protection not being a surprise. That comfirmed to her Lasair still didn't know about the assassins within her guild - duly noted. But it was true enough that the entertainers could offer defense and protection on their own already - should be able to, considering the amount of knife throwers, magicians specialized on making people disappear or sawing them in half, and others who used fire and spells for presentation. So she didn't comment further on that and moved on to his next question.
"I did have some thoughts on bringing my second-in-command as well. But it will also depend on what's affordable and how's this meeting arranged. I do recall your guild being the most hidden among all afterall, so I'd understand if your leader wishes the less outsiders knowing about it as possible. That being said, I wouldn't mind it being a meeting between just me and them there, the extra privacy has its advantages as well." And as much as she knows better than underestimate MI she still ccould fend for herself if things go south, thank you very much. "So either way works fine for me."

When she mentioned MI being the most secretive, Lasair couldn’t help but smile. That was one of the things he loved most about the guild. Having a 2IC present was reasonable, but the call about that would fall on Danny; Lasair would prefer not to though.
“I’ll pass your request along then, I see no reason not to. I’ll either send a message to you or personally deliver the in person. Sounds good?” he glanced over at her, feeling like everything was addressed.

"Sounds great." Edelweiss nodded. "So, now that the business talk is out of the way, and you're doing me a favor yet again, I guess it's my turn to offer you a fair treat. We are in the Theater District afterall - anything you'd like to do or see around?"

Lasair pondered for a moment before answering, fiddling with the hat he held in his hands. Being dressed for a show meant that it would be nice to go see one, but he didn’t want to impose either. Still, it might be rude not to accept the offer. “I’d like to see the best show this district has; the most elaborate, most extravagant, biggest thing you guys put on. But if that’s not feasible at the present, then at the very least I’d like to see whatever show is your favorite.”

Hearing that answer, Edelweiss couldn't hold back a laugh.
"A bold one, aren't you? But alright, it is feasible, although what spectacle from here best fits your description varies a lot depending on who you ask." She stated still with a grin on her face, standing up and wiping some invisible dust from the turquoise blazer. "The circus acrobatic plays, fire tricks, the Harmonic symphony from the musical instruments personel, traditional foreigner dancers (or exotic dancers), fireworks presentations, there's a a bit of everything around, maybe more of one or another depending on the time. But... Perhaps I might have something in mind to show that might entertain you, if you don't mind a bit of walking. It is my favorite 'show' indeed."

Her laughter took him off guard, but he still smiled and was glad she found amusement. “I’ve seen many shows here, but I’m still curious for more,” he added as he stood up, following her. “It’s a lovely night, I wouldn’t mind some walking. Where are we heading?”

"A couple streets down from here and turning around the corner, there's a large building with green curtains on the windows." The redhead woman explained briefly, retaking the stack of papers she'd been working on earlier from where it had been left and the small box that had been serving as a weight to not let the wind blow the papers away.
There wouldn't be much happening on their way to aforementioned building. At least not more than usual in the Theater District, with the alluring colorful things in stabilishments and people trying to call their attention. The gates to the building had a sign that was read "EDEN BRIDGE" in big embelished letters, and the place was multiple-floorerd and indeed large, almost enough to be mistaken for a theater or one of the manors from Central Square, although it wasn't nearly as fancy. Most windows were open, except on the top floors where the heavy curtains had been closed shut. It was not a theater. Not a stage nor deposit. And not a brothel either, thankfully - Edelweiss wouldn't take someone to one. Workers of enternainment business filled the place, walking around or sitting down and doing their own thing while Edelweiss went inside and guided Lasair into the building. A man cleaning his face currently half-covered in jester makeup greeted them as they passed by.
"Is the angel troupe still practicing upstairs?"
"Yeah, top floor. They're gettin' good, I think... Newbie?" He pointed at Lasair.
"No. Visitor. I'm just taking him to see the 'show' up there."

Ho nodded, following her through the district. They passed some performers, some asked for money while others didn’t. It was a usual walk. When they approached the building, Lasair looked up at it with curious eyes. Eden Bridge? Sounded like a gate into paradise. As he wondered what sort of building it was, his thoughts were interrupted by someone who seemed to be half jester.
He smiled to the person as they walked past and then nudged Edel. “What sort of place is this?” What had he gotten himself into?
