Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Fawn glanced behind her at the horrific sight of Danny and her necromantic tools of the trade. "Your a bit morbid ain't ya?" The woman said turning back and swinging at the next man. Suddenly there were little black things swarming around her knees. She pointed her pipe at a few of them waving it back and forth until she realized they, thankfully, weren't going after her. Then she heard Danny's altered voice behind her. 'Playing?' Fawn grinned. "Oh, so I'm the one who's playin'? Who here has the little pets out for a walk?" The green haired woman, while slightly disturbed about her leaders magic, flashed a devilish smile. No point in chatting. Fawn saw the leader of the small band of sailors and waltzed her way up to him. The pipe she had for a weapon was curved on the end where a the piece had connected to the wall. The woman hooked it around the mans ankle and jerked it hard. Once he fell Fawn figured she would let the pets have him.

To their luck (and relief) the machinery couldn’t handle the magic emitting from two anders and creaked before snapping, evidently breaking. Lasair stood up as the thing tumbled overboard, reaching up to wipe away some sweat from under his brow. “I think we’re ready to go then.” Anchor gone, mooring lines down, just needed to lift the sail, which should be the signal for the other two to finish their business and get back.
He walked over to the sail and pulled the lines, lifting the white fabric. It was easily visible from anyone nearby on the dock, and in a moment the wind began pushing at it. Clairee could go grab the other two if she wanted, but Lasair had his focus on the wheel, the lesson he’d had coming back to him. When Fawna swung at the head sailor, she missed. But only because he shoved someone else in the way. He went down from her quick work, leaving four left. “They’re mocking us men! Come one, there’s only two of them!” But just as he said that, Danny’s necromancy kicked in, raising a small pack of imp-like things.
All the men took several steps back then, having never seen this sort of magic. Skeletons, sure. Living weapons? Those were new but they were in someone’s hands. These THINGS were set loose, and they were coming as the sailors, nipping and biting at them. One of them men kicked at the thing, only to have it get up and chase after him again. And then that girl came up and tripped him. His men scrambled to help him up, and just as he stood, his eyes met with a white sail; the sail of their ship. The head guy scowled, but knew he was defeated. “Let’s get out of here and tell the captain,” he declared before turning around and fleeing. His men turned to follow him, the imps nipping at their heels.
"Oh, no ya don't!" Fawn said taking off after them. "Get to the ship and get going! I'll catch up!" The woman chased the imps chasing the men. Fawn caught up to the lagging one and reached out to grab a handful of his shirt and pulled back hard. Flooring him she delivered a hard right hook to his lower jaw. Picking him up as high as she could by his collar she dropped him sharply to the ground again before leaving him and peering after the others. They were scrambling to get away, and there was no point in continuing to chase them. Fawn, breathing hard, stripped herself of her coat and unleashed the spell to free her wings. She fluttered them lightly to get the feathers in order. She made her way to the ship by walking. She climbed aboard and leaned against the railing for a moment to catch her breath.

Clairee flew down as per Lassy's suggestion and caught the tail end of their fight on the pier. "Not that I think you need it, but how about a lift Danny, like old times?" She smiled. The new kid had wings of her own and was already beating feet up the ramp to the ship that was setting sail.

Danny looked up at Clairee and grinned behind her demonic visage. "A'righ'. I don' see 'ow it'd 'urt." Danny tightened her coat around her body and waited for take off. Overall, the girl didn't do too badly. Might have to remind her that once they were running not to chase unless lives depended on it... but that could wait for later.

Spinning the wheel some, the ship slowly turned and then came to life and the sails aligned with the wind. The boat began gaining speed as it moved forward, heading north to a hidden little beach closer to HQ.
Lasair looked over his shoulder as the trio returned from the port. Fawn landed first, followed shortly by Clairee and Danny. Good, everyone was here and they were finally treading water. “That wasn’t too bad,” he commented. “Could have gone worse.” Well, it could have gotten better too. But for being one of their first missions, it certainly wasn’t too bad. Once they got to the beach, they could unload and be finished.
The trial is finished now. Feel free to post/comment one more round if there's anything you or your characters want to say.
