Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Open to everyone, especially Alonzo K. RuxtonA customer had approached Clancy the other day with an interesting order. They wanted a top of the line gun with a unique bird design on the handle. Clancy had faith he could make the gun, no problem, but the design the customer had requested was a bit too much for him. It was all very intricate and artsy and he did not want to mess up the order by attempting this on his own. No, he needed an actual artist for this one. So what better place to look for an artist then the Merchants District? The place was fully of artist people! Unfortunately, the few people that he had shown the design to declined to help him due to the fact the design had to be etched onto the handle of a gun. Something to do with going against their beliefs or they were unfamiliar with the form of art he needed for this order.
It was a beautiful day out: the sun was high in the sky, birds were flitting about, and everyone was dressed up in their lovely summer outfits. Nothing would have pleased Clancy more than to sit outside and share some ice cream with Iaco and Zona. Alas, he was still in search of an artist. Not that he minded going around and seeing all the fascinating paintings and sculptures that the merchant district had. It's just, he had other people he wanted to be with. The gunsmith now stood at the door of a new shop. "Fifth one's tha charm, right?" he chuckled halfheartedly as he opened the door and went in.

Keefe was in the back of his store/studio when the front door gave the unfamiliar ding that rang of a new costumer entering. "Be with you in a moment!!" Keefe said in a rather sing songy voice, "Feel free to look around!!" Keefe said as he went back to his work for just a moment more. Even though he sold others art he couldn't help but make some of his own and sell that, besides he couldn't help himself from making art. Standing up from the small stool Keefe had been sitting on for the last few hours, he stretched his back and stood back to looked at his art. Keefe had just finished a small wooden sculpture of a flying hawk, with its wings stretched out full, and head facing up towards the sky. Grabbing the sculpture along with a wet rag for his, rather sore, hands Keefe headed up to the front of the store to greet his waiting costumer, "Sorry for the wait. How can I help you?" Keefe asked as he placed the Hawk on the corner of the counter and began to rub his hand with the wet rag.
Clancy nodded, frowned because he just nodded and the man couldn't see the gesture, felt a little foolish, then went to look at the art surrounding him. Most of it was just paintings of random things and a few small clay sculptures. If this person could only paint and sculpt clay they would probably decline to help him as well. Upon hearing the entrance of the owner of the store, he turned with a smile, ready to present his offer. The wooden sculputre caught his attention immediately. Practically running to the counter, he skidded to a stop in front of the wooden bird. "Didja make this?! Wait, duh, course ya did. Oh my goodness, this is perfect! I want it. How much?" With out pausing he turned his excited eyes to the artist and continued to talk a mile a minute, "I'm sure glad ta have found ya! Are ya available for work? It's just a carvin' and if ya can make somethin' as cool as this, ma little project will be as easy as pie fer ya! What's yer name? Wait, Name!" Shaking his head, the small pink haired man extended his hand to his new found friend "Hiya! I'm Clancy Fuchs! Pleasure ta meet ya!"

Keefe couldn't help but smile the entire time the man was talking. Putting his rag down Keefe offered his hand to the man, "The names Alonzo, Alonzo Ruxton, but I normally go by Keefe." He smiled, happy the man was so interested in his work. "To answer your questions, yes I did make this, just finished it in fact. Price, give me your best offer and we can go from there. And as for work, I suppose it would depend on what it is." Keefe said as he picked the rag back up and continued to rub his hands, "And could I interest you in any of these other fine pieces of art work? Might I add that all are made by local artists that reside in the theater district." He smiled as he walked around from behind the counter to stand next to the man.
"Alright, Keefe it is then!" The gunsmith grabbed the other's hand and shook it vigorously before letting go to pull out his wallet. "I like tha hair by the way," he chirped, as he turned to examine his wallet, his face turning serious. "I might look into buying another piece of art from here later on but not right now. I think ah can only afford one piece of art at tha moment." After looking at the paper money in his wallet for a moment he shrugged then slapped the contents of his wallet on the table, "That's all I have. Think that's enough fer this piece?" It amounted to about 63 pounds. Clancy rarely bought artwork so he had no idea how expensive an item like this was so he thought it best to give Keefe everything he had on him. He'd talk about the job once he worked out the price of this carving.

Keefe's eyes bugged out of his head some at the sight of all the money, "Oh... Ahh... Umm, have you ever bought art before?" Keefe asked as he looked at the money. "I'm flattered by all this but at the most this piece is worth about 45, at the most." Keefe said as he pushed some of the money back towards the man, "Besides I would hate to take all the money you have."
Clancy blinked in surprise "Oh, really? Aha, I thought it woulda cost even more than that. Thanks!" After taking the the amount of money that Keefe had kindly returned to him, he got down to business. "I'm lookin' fer someone who can carve a design into the handle of a gun and I think yer jus tha man i'm lookin' fer!" Suddenly, he gets up on the counter and does a spontaneous dance number to the song "You're the one that I want!" After returning his wallet to his pocket, he pulled out the design and placed it in front of Keefe. "I'll pay ya up front once tha works done and who knows, if ya do a spantabulous job, I'll probably hire ya again! So, whaddya say?" He gave Keefe a hopeful smile, mentally crossing his fingers and hoping the fellow would agree to his proposition.

"Oh..." Keefe said as he looked at the design some. Keefe had obviously worked with wood and carving before, but never on something before let alone the handle of a gun... Keefe had never even picked one of those up before... "Well... I will tell you now I've never carved into the handle of anything before, but that doesn't mean I can't! I would be honored if you chose me for the job." Keefe said as he looked up from the design for a moment to show off a bit of a smirk, "Though the design is a bit rough, and there seems to be a lot of detail that is wanted in it, I think I could get something done in about a week or so..." He commented as he looked back over the design.
Success!!!!! "Yer hired!! Ahhh this is jus' tha greatest! I can't wait ta see how it all turns out!" the pink haired gunsmith practically bounced up and down. He could hug the guy but that was probably a bit to forward for this day and age. Plus his boyfriend- bless his heart- had a few blood thirsty tendencies that might emerge if he got jealous. So, distance was a must. After managing to calm down enough to stand still, he pulled out a slip of paper and began to scribble his address down on it. "I 'ave tha parts all ready in ma store. If ya could jus' swing by tomorrow I'll give ya tha handle. Would ya like ta work on it here or in mah shop?" He handed him the paper with an excited grin. This guy was confident. Just looking at the design he had suspected that I would take at least 2 weeks but here Keefe was saying he could get it done in one! That was awesome.

Keefe took the paper and looked at the address, "Hey your right across the street! Next to that, ohhh what was it... That organ seller right?" Keefe said as he thought about where this mans shop lay. "Anyway I could work anywhere, all I would need is to bring some of my supplies and would just ask for a well lit area, otherwise I could work on it where ever you prefer." Keefe said with a smile unsure if the man would want Keefe to be at his place to watch and see how he made the piece or if the man would be fine with picking it up in about a week from Keefe's shop, either way it didn't really matter.
"That's exactly tha place! Funny, we're neighbors an' I didn' even know it," the pink haired smith laughed, "I'd ask that ya work in ma shop if that's okay. I'd love ta watch ya make this with ma own eyes. I've got ah spot right near tha window where ya could work if that's fine with ya." His excitement for this project was indescribable. What luck that his artist lived so close by too! Wait till Iaco heard about this.

"Well Great!!" Keefe said with a smile, excited for his new job, "I can't wait! Is there a certain day you would like me to start this, or should I come by tomorrow and get to work?" Keefe asked so he could plan his week around this some, he would hate to have a day planned out and it end up to be a day to work.
Clancy though a bit. Iaco and him were going to have dinner tomorrow but it shouldn't take that long "Tomorrow works! Ya can come over whenever though!"

Smiling Keefe nodded, "Great, great! I will probably come sometime in the morning. Get an early start and what not." Keefe said as he thought of what he wanted to start with. "This will be wonderful! I've never made anything that could be part of a weapon." He smiled.
