Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to all (Yay Keefe first thread!)Keefe stood outside his shop and looked in through the windows. Keefe was lucky with the shop he got in the merchants district because it was one of the few corner shops with incredibly large windows that went from floor to ceiling, the perfect place to display artwork of all and any kind. Keefe had just set up some of the few pieces he had gathered from around the city, and had just stepped out to see what it looked like from the street view, from what he saw everything was looking good, a few more pieces and he would be ready to really open for business. Stepping back inside for just a moment, he came back out with a bucket of soapy water, a rag and a squiggle. Setting the bucket down he dunked the rag into the water and began to was the outside windows, due to the fact that this shop hadn't been used in a while, dirt and dust were everywhere and with the inside of the shop clean Keefe now began to work on the outside. Luck for him the sun was out even though it was cold and there was a bit of snow still here and there on the ground.
(Just to let everyone know this shop is across the street and a few doors down from the shops of Iacomus and Clancy)

Elaine almost skipped down the street passing shop after shop. She had a package under her arm and was headed back to the Theater to help clean up backstage. Ina bit of a hurry since the next play was about to finish up. But she slowed as she saw a familiar figure cleaning the outside of a new stores window. A sly smile crossed over her face. One second she was standing on the opposite side of the street then she was gone. Drifting between people and using her hiding skills to her aid. She approached the boy with silent steps and just as she was nearly on top of him she poked her fingers into his side. "Boo!" She laughed.

Keefe nearly dropped the rag he was using when he felt someone touch him and heard a familiar voice say 'boo'. After doing an odd little dance-like-thing in order to catch the falling rag, he turned to see who the person was that startled him, even though he knew who it was due to her voice, "Elaine! Good to see you!" Keefe smiled as he put the rag down on the edge of the bucket, "What are you doing way over here? I thought you were always in the theater district." Keefe continued to smile as he noticed the package in her hands and secretly wondered what was in it.

"Parents are merchants remember?" She raised her eyebrows. "And I was actually on my way back there." Elaine shuffled the package in her arms. "Oh! Here this is for you!" She held it out. It was a square and thin under the brown paper it was wrapped in. She already knew what it was, an oil painting of the Sky Ports. She had passed it leaving the inn the other night and couldn't resist. "Hurry up and open it. I can't stay long." She clasped her hands together and raised them to her lips smiling, eager to see what he thought.

"Oh ya... I forgot about that. I meant to find their shop the other day, guess I forgot to do that as well..." Keefe said as he thought a moment then turned back to Elaine, just then she handed him the package in her hands, "Oh thanks." Keefe began to open it as fast as he could, but still minding there could be something breakable inside. Once opening it he found a beautiful oil painting of the Sky Ports, "Wow this is beautiful! When did you make this?" Keefe asked, he needed to know how long this took her.

"Thank you! It took me about a week. Then again it was off and on between work and helping around the shop." She felt a twinge of pride swell up in her chest. "Thought you would want something for the shop, so that's my "grand opening" present to you." She looked up at the windows. "Would you want some help? I have a few minutes." Elaine asked pointing up at the windows.

"Really? A week." Keefe said a bit surprised at how fast she got such a large painting done. "If you could get me something like this ever other week we would be golden!" Keefe was excited, if he could get a piece of hers every other week he would have such great business, plus she could come by a few time a week to get lessons and work. Elaine broke Keefe out of his thought when she offered to help, "Oh if you could that would be great! Just let me but this away." Keefe said as he ran inside the building and placed the picture on the empty stand in the middle of the window for all to see. "There... What do you think." Keefe said smiling.

"Wasn't that hard." Elaine replied shrugging. "I can try. I'll drop things off as soon as I can." Turning she watched him go inside only to see him reappear in the window and place her artwork in the middle. A smile lit up her face. She was glad she had met Keefe, he took art to a whole new level. And he loved it. Which made her like him even more. "I think it looks great! Toss me a rag!" Elaine said studying the dirt on the windows with an eye who had been trained to keep a shop spotless.

Keefe smiled, happy that she liked how the painting looked in the window, he then grabbed a wet, soapy rag and tossed it to the girl, "Heads up!" He shouted as the rag traveled through the air. Keefe bent down and grabbed another rag and began to clean the window making sure to go over the same spot twice so all the dirt was gone from it. "Thanks for your help." Keefe smiled as he looked over to the girl.

Elaine caught the rag and water flicked across her face. Using her arm to wipe it off she made a face. "No problem!" After reaching up as high as she could, going up on her toes, she cleaned and scrubbed the stubborn dirt off the windows. While cleaning dust fluttered down into her face and she sneezed. Shaking her head to clear it she grinned. "Whew! Lovely thing dust is." Elaine joked glancing at Keefe.

Keefe smiled as the girl sneezed, he chucked a bit at the sound she made. "Though it can be a problem I think it can cause cute moments. Like you sneezing..." Keefe smirked as he looked over his shoulder at Elaine, who was standing on her tip toes trying to get the dirt. "I think you need a step ladder." Keefe joked as he turned back to the window.

Elaine wrinkled her nose at him in a smirk. "Haha, your very funny." She leaned down acting as if to wet the rag a second time but instead she cupped her hand a splashed water at him. She stood quickly pretending she did nothing. A spunky smile was on her lips. She continued to work on the window diligently.

As Keefe continued to wash the window he turned his head slightly and suddenly saw a wave of soapy water come flying at his face. The water soaked the entire left side of Keefe. Turning he looked at the girl who was pretending she did nothing and had no idea how the water left the bucket and hit Keefe, "Well..." Keefe said as he looked up at his roof, "I must have a leak up there... I'll need to get that fixed. Do excuse me while I go in and change out of this." Keefe then turned with his normal smile and walked off, heading in to the store and disappeared between double doors that lead to the back of the store.

Elaine watched him go casually. But the minute he was inside she burst out laughing. She leaned against the building for support, arms across her stomach, trying to catch her breath. She scrubbed the last little bit of dust away and dropped the rag in the bucket. She picked it up and hauled it back into the store. Having nowhere specific to put it Elaine sat it against the wall out of the way before getting completely blown away by the art she saw. "Wow!" She exclaimed excitedly. She looked at each one closely, noting the effort out into each of them. Off in her own little world she forgot what she was doing and where she was at.

Sneaking off through the back door Keefe gathered a bucket full of water and began to sneak off back to the front of the store. As carefully and quietly as Keefe could be he looked around the corner of the building to see where Elaine was, but to his surprise she was no where out there. Keefe set the bucket down and walked around the corner, "Elaine! Can you come out here I need your help." He said as he stayed near the bucket. Looking around he saw Elaine memorized by the paintings in his shop, turning way from the bucket he walked inside and stood next to the girl, "Beautiful aren't they?" Keefe smiled as he looked at the paintings with Elaine.
