Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to Iacomus, and everyone who happens to be passing by his shop. Lasair wandered around the merchant’s district, no specific goal in mind, and wondered about all the different things that had happened to him since returning home. He had stumbled into a guild, met some interesting people, made some nice friends, drank a lot of ale, and many other things. One thing that did bother him however was that one man from the other night, the one who had utterly despised Lasair.
“I wouldn’t mind running into him again… Perhaps I could win him over. It’s not nice knowing someone hates me,” he mused to himself as he turned down another street. As luck would have it, the next shop he passed just happened to have the man he was thinking of within.
He walked into the shop with a smile and hoped this encounter would go well.

Iacomus looked up with a grin on his face at what he thought was a new customer, but upon noticing who it was, his cheerful expression fell and his bright yellow eyes glazed over with loathing. In a split second, he picked his smile back up, but it was a shallow sort of sarcastic one. "Well hello, my friend. What reason you might have for entering my shop?" His tone was pleasant, but it ran almost sickly sweet.

“I was just out for a walk when I noticed you here. So I thought I would stop by and see how you’re doing. Is business going well?” Lasair asked with grin, pretending he hadn't noticed the man's look of hatred. He was determined to leave some kind of positive impression on him.

"Well isn't that nice of you." Iacomus replied, hissing slightly on the word 'nice.' "Business is going just fine, thank you very much.' The older man, at this point, was just replacing some of the organs in a case on top of the counter, his hands still coated in blood and formaldehyde, with his sleeves rolled up and an apron tied loosely around his thin figure. "And how have you been doing, as of late, kind sir?" He would indulge in pleasantries, but he hoped no real conversation would come up, and that this firey-haired boy would become bored and leave.

Lasair wasn’t phased by the blood and guts being handled by the man. Nothing really fazed him after the incident oh so long ago. “I have been doing quite fine, thank you. Do you need any help with your shop? I don’t have anywhere I need to be today.”

"Oh no, I am quite alright as far as work goes. Thank you for the offer, however.... Please excuse me for just one moment." He walked to the back of the shop, where most of his work was done, and started washing off his hands in the sink.

Seeing as Iacomus had turned his back to Lasair, he used this chance to move a bit closer to the counter and get a better look at things. He pretended to be looking down at the organs, but was in actuality focusing his attention on the back of the shop and the man tending it. He stood up straight and smiled when Iacomus turned back around.

Iacomus grabbed a couple of jars, one with a spiraling section of small intestine and the other with a lung, a left one with two chambers, and brought them out to the front to add to some of the displays. The firey-haired man seemed suspicious, and Iacomus glared at him as he glanced, but returned back to organizing the many jars and wares of his.

“So…” Lasair started, hoping to strike up some conversation before things became too tense between the pair. “How long have you been in this business?” he asked, hoping it’d be a good start.

Zona had just finished a run for Clancy when she heard a familiar voice, not the one that be longed to Iaco since she needed to pass his shop in order to get home, but another one. Zona turned an looked in through the window and noticed someone she had met and had a wonderful evening with, Lasair. Zona decided to step in, not only to annoy Iaco, but see how Lasair was doing. "Well, I'm surprised." She said as she walked through the door, "I never thought I would find you in here." She looked around, her eyes searching for the tall old man.

“Oh,” Lasair stuttered, his game thrown off slightly. He hadn’t been expecting anyone to walk in. Recovering in a moment, he smiled at Zona a moment before looking back towards Iacomus. “I was just having a nice chat with the shopkeeper here,” he said that as casually as possible and continued to grin.

"I've been doing this about a deca-" Iacomus started before a familiar tattooed 'friend' walked in through the door. He continued to organize the shelves as he smiled that same, fake smile. "Well hello Zona, how splendid it is that you have arrived as well!" He prayed that a customer - an actual one who actually had intentions of buying his wares - would arrive, and maybe shoo the other two away.

"Well I thought I would just stop by to see how everyone was doing, besides I was just at Clancy's and have nothing better to do right now." Zona smiled as she walked over to the counter and hopped up on it, sitting in the same spot she always sat in when she came here. "So whats new with you two?"

“Not much on my end, although I’m sure Iacomus here has been busy. He does have an exciting business.” Lasair kept his eyes on the other man in the room, hoping Zona wouldn’t get offended. He had come here to patch things up with the man after all. He continued to smile the most charming smile he knew, and waited for an answer.

"Nothing interesting has happened with me at all, recently." Iacomus, his fake smile still ever-present. "Nothing." These words he almost spat, and regretted doing so, as he feared his inner loathing may shine through.
