Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

As the day continued on, it seemed that no matter whom they asked, the answer was the same. No clue, never seen ‘em, not an idea, get lost; the responses were different but all amounted to the same result. No one knew who the girl in the photo was, and most people didn’t care. As the exited from the last shop, Lasair felt a bit defeated. “I’m sorry Keefe. How about I buy you a drink? Help forget the sorrows,” he offered the blond boy as he patted his shoulder. Lasair wished there was something more he could do, but alas there was not.

Keefe looked at the photo in disappointment, he knew he had a very slim chance at finding his sister but he didn't think it would bring him down this much, all the hope he had was just about gone. Just then Lasair offered to buy him a drink, "Really? You don't have to do that, although..." Keefe paused a moment before completely turning down the thought, "I am a bit thirsty, I could go for a drink I guess." A nice glass of soda would sure hit the spot right now.

“That’s the spirit,” Lasair patted his back. “Don’t let it get you down too much. Tomorrow is another day after all.” Turning down the next street, Lasair led him to a bar and held the door open for the young man to walk in.

Keefe smiled as he was patted on the back, "Ya... I always have another day." Keefe said as he followed Lasair to what looked to be a bar. Staring at the sign before entering he turned to Lasair and said, "I've never been to a place like this before..." Upon entering the building Keefe looked about in the search for a spot to sit, there were many spots open at the bar area but Keefe found a smaller table placed on the side of the room next to the wall. Walking over there he grabbed a chair and sat down.

“Whatever do you mean?” Lasair asked as he followed the boy to his seat. “This is a normal bar if you ask me. Not to high class nor too run down. What would you like to drink?” He smiled as he spoke, hoping to cheer the blonde up.

Keefe looked at the man with a bit of question in his eyes, "Well... umm... What I mean is I've never been in a place like this... I've never been in a 'bar'" Keefe had a hard time saying that word, it seemed like the word got stuck in his throat, "Oh, I'll just have a soda, anything is fine... Or maybe an Ice Tea Oh! With lemon! Ya let's go with that!" Keefe smiled at the thought of his ice tea with lemon soon to be coming on its way... That is once the waiter comes.

He tried to hold it in, but Lasair couldn’t help but chuckle at the boy, who really was a boy right now. He also overheard the people next to him laughing as well, presumably from Keefe’s ice tea comment. “This is a regular old bar boy, they don’t serve ice tea here.” Still chuckling, he waved the waitress over and winked at her as she approached. “I’ll take a mudslide and the kid here will have a Shirley temple.” The waitress also giggled a little and then winked at Keefe as she walked off.

Keefe looked about as everyone seem to be laughing, unsure why they were Keefe looked over to Lasair with a look of question. "Why... Why is everyone laughing all I wanted was an Ice Tea..." Keefe said as he looked down at his feet feeling like he shouldn't be here.

“They can tell you’re new here and they think it’s amusing, that’s all,” Lasair said reassuringly. “Don’t mind them. Do you mind if I ask you something? Why did you decide to come all the way here, to this city? Why not stay in your hometown?” He asked the trio of questions without waiting for an answer to the first one.

"Oh..." Keefe said, still unsure as to why they were laughing all he wanted was an Ice Tea. Lasair then asked him three questions all at once, they confused the boy for a moment but only until he registered that they were three separate questions rather than one big one, "Well..." Keefe began, "I came out here to look for my sister, and since I know everyone in my town I knew she wasn't there... So after talking with my parent I went to the closest place to begin to look for her and that happened to be here. She is the last person in my family and I need to find her..." Keefe said as he looked down at his feet hoping that one day he would find her, for all he knew this search could be a was of time, she could have died long ago.

“What are you going to do after you find her?” Lasair asked as the drinks were set down on the table. He gestured for Keefe to at least try his Shirley Temple. “Would you want to go back home?” he added, taking a sip of his drink.

"I don't know..." Keefe said as he stared at the drink for a moment, "If I liked the place and had a good job and so did she I think I would stay where ever I find her... But if she didn't want to stay then I guess I would bring her back home..." Keefe picked up the glass and looked at the drink from all angles, "Of course if we were to stay here, I would bring her back at some time just to meet my parents... Then we would come back." Keefe smelled the drink and carefully took a small sip of it. As the drink went down his throat he felt a dry, and burning sensation that he didn't like, "Gah..." Coughing a bit Keefe quickly put the drink back down on the table and pushed it way some.

“I think that’s a good decision with what you have in mind. If she has a living here, I wouldn’t want to take her away from it.” Lasair replied to the part about the sister, and then chuckled as Keefe pushed the drink away. “Whatever you just tasted kid, it was in your head. There’s no alcohol in that drink, hell most of it is sugar.” Of course he wouldn't tell the boy that he had, in fact, gotten the waitress to sneak some liquor in it. But really it shouldn't be noticeable on top of all that sugar in the drink. Lasair pushed the glass back towards the boy and smiled.

"Are you sure?" Keefe asked as he eyed the drink unsure if the sensation he just felt was just in his head or what. Eyeing the glass one more time he picked the drink up and brought it near his lips, he then took a slightly smaller sip than last time. The burn was still there just not quite as bad as the first time, in fact he kind of... liked it...Taking another sip he turned some to look at the man, "So..." Keefe began to ask as he set the drink down, "What do you think my sister might be like?" Keefe realized the man still didn't miraculously know the girl and the question must have sounded rather stupid, "I mean, you obviously know what the girls around here are like, what do you think she might act like based on them?" That seemed to make more sense... kind of...

“Well if she’s anything like you, I’d be willing to say that she likes to have fun and has a passion for whatever it is that she’s doing. A lot of girls around here like to toss their life away, but not all of them. Most of the girls I meet are at bars and such, so if your sister isn’t one of them, then I’m not too sure about what she would be like.” Lasair scratched his chin as he thought about his answer. It was the best he could do given that he usually didn’t reflect on the people he met. And he also had to try and hide his grin as Keefe sipped more of the drink. It seemed his idea had worked.
