Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
The day that was mixed with equal dread, anticipation, and giddiness.
Today was the day that Ikuze Storm would end her life... and begin a new one as Stephen's wife. She looked out across the street to the gathering nobility and other patrons who had been invited by the Lelands and Storms for this event. Everyone wore masks like it was a grand masquerade ball, and all the differing attires and styles... For tonight was not just her wedding day, it was also the day before All Hallow's Eve, and as such, the wedding held to it a more festive feel... although that may be in part as well to the recent murdering spree that had transpired not too long ago... People did not like to be reminded of their own mortality so harshly.
She let out a slow breath to calm her nerves, her maid Linda fixing her corset to her small frame. "You'll be alright milady." she said soothingly, pulling the strings in tight. "The lad's a fine young man." Ikuze gave a slight snort. "It's not him I'm worried about..." the thief admitted, casting her mind back to a certain conversation with a certain blonde cross-dressing girl. "Why'd she have to be so stubborn..." muttered the girl with a sigh, wincing as Linda began to help her into the old wedding gown.

Stephen at the moment, was half dressed and taking up one of his favorite past times: pacing. Marcus, his assistant, was sitting in one of the fine chairs with an utterly amused look on his face. Presently, they were in his room, preparing for the upcoming events- well, stressing out would be a more accurate description of what the groom was doing. "What does one even do at a wedding? It's going to quite a show to see my trying to put a ring on her finder with my left hand since this right one is good for- wait, her hands are still damaged. Will I even put a ring on her finger? What if I hurt her by accident when I put the ring on.... What had do I even put it on?? The left? I think so... maybe... Queens, I hate not knowing things..." he groaned, putting his head in his hands. If you could imagine, this little scene had been going on for most of the morning. It was a wonder that the distressed creature did not faint.
Marcus smirked, finally interrupting his friends worrisome jabber. "Well, well, well. I always thought you were a calm, collected fellow. Looking at ya now, fretting around like an old paranoid woman, I'm not quite so sure. Oh how the great second in command has fallen.." The actor shook his head dramatically, wiping away an invisible tear. A growl emanated from to soon to be married man as he shot daggers from his eyes at his friend. "Not. Helping. Why did I even choose you to be my best man. Bones would have done a better job at it then you" he huffed, tuning to the window as his friend shot back "Bones would have certainly made a better groom then you, that much is certain." Seeing his messy appearance in the reflective glass, a hopeless groan emanated from his lips. Marcus rolled his eyes "You'll be fine. Just pull out that old Leland charm and go with the flow! What could possibly go wrong?" Marcus paused, reading his friends reaction to that comment like a book. "Oh stop, you're embarrassing the male species! Get a grip!" Marcus snapped, rolling his eyes as he threw a suit jacket over the others shoulders. Stephen mumbled as he re-buttoned his dress shirt, going over the ceremony in his head with great scrutiny.

Danny made her way from her home to the Leland estate slowly. Well, better to get this over with. The giirlgirl was dressed in the nicest jacket of green velvet she had... which admittedly wasn't all that nice a suit, with a cream colored dress shirt, a pair of matching cream colored pants, a green bow tie, and a pair of worn black leather dress shoes. The entire thing looked too big on the girl, but that's what you get when you wear your Late father's clothes. It was a Hallow's Eve celebration, so Danny had on a mask as well. The thing covered the entirety of her head and ended up being rather simple. The mask produced the effect of having aairr naked skull on her shoulders. The best part about it was that her blue eyes shone brightly in the shadow cast by the skull, making the skull itself look like it had glowing eyes.
Danny wandered into the estate and started looking around. She paused to listen to a little blurb of a conversation from one of the other guests.
"Did you see the young Leland's best man? I wonder I he's single..." Well, that took care o that. Danny looked down at her clothes and let out a small sigh, whether from relief or disappointment even she wasn't sure. Danny found a spot to sit right in the front row of where the ceremony was to take place and leaned back to wait...

Elaine left her home in a hurry before her mother and father got the bright idea to join her at Stephen's wedding. Breathing a sigh of relief as she followed the road leading to the Leland's home. It was a large estate and it caught Elaine by surprise. Well why did it? He is a noble, wait! I, Elaine Marie Annecroft, am friends with a noble. She had a small moment of happiness at the fact but went back about her walk. Entering in through the front she saw the entire place was decorated for a wedding. Having not gone to a wedding in awhile Elaine was delighted! A few familiar faces drifted through the crowd but she didn't stop to speak to anyone. Looking down at the light blue dress she had borrowed from her mother she straightened its long sleeves and tightened the bow around her waist. Then took a seat next to the isle so she could see the proceedings easily. Briefly wondering how Stephen might be faring she was soon indulged in the conversations around her.

The whole city seemed to be buzzing this day, and emitting from it seemed to be a sort of energy that was riddled with anticipation. Lone was yet to figure out as to why. She wandered around, weaving in an out from behind buildings and the like. There seemed to be a sort of group congregating, and Lone headed, cautiously, of course, over in that direction. The area was adjourned in decorations of some sort. Lone had never seen anything like it. She spotted a strange boy who had on a creepy skull mask sitting near the front, and they seemed strangely familiar, so she crept her way in that direction to try and get a better look to see if she really did know who it was. When closer, she still couldn't figure it out, and sat on the ground where she had just stood, ready to observe whatever this was that was going on.

Clutching the napkin he had acquired the other night, Lasair wandered around until he found the address sprawled on the thin piece of paper. He was dressed in the fanciest outfit he had. Atop his head was a brand new hat he had bought on the way here. It was a short black top hat and had goggles attached to the front, ‘all the rage’ the store owner had said. He also wore a maroon red vest and a black over coat, black pants, black gloves, and his polished shoes were the same shade of red as his vest. Following the theme of the wedding, he had on a fox mask, which matched the same red-orange shade of his hair. It was patterned with swirls and a little aged, seeing as he bought it from another land during his travels.
Strolling through the front gates, he looked from person to person as he walked through the area. Everyone was chatting quietly, while the bride and groom were still nowhere to be seen. Walking to the front of all the chairs, Lasair spotted someone sitting alone. They wore green jacket and a skull mask and seeing as they were without someone to converse with, he sat down next to them, tipping his hat as he did so. “It’s a nice day out, wouldn’t you say?” he said, hoping to start conversation his mask if anyone is interested.

Danny's eyes were the only things that moved. Lone sat down in front of her and the blue orbs, which appeared to be blazing from within the hollowed shadows, focused on her. And then nothing. She remained staring until Lasair showed up. She slowly turned her head to look at Lasair as he spoke and spoke quietly. Her voice sounded muffled and distant through the mask. "It's about as nice as any other day. The only difference today are the costumes and the wedding." She slumped back against the bench and let out a loud yawn. "Just hope this starts soon... unlike most folks at this wedding, I actually have to work for my bread."

Lasair hadn’t noticed the small girl seated in front of them until he sat down. She was curious looking and didn’t wear a mask. Not sure what to make of her, Lasair simply smiled and tipped his hat to her before turning his attention to the person next to him. He nodded as they responded, understanding the situation. Perhaps he could brighten their day, as he liked to do for everyone he met. “Ah, yes making a living can be quite difficult. May I ask what your profession is? And perhaps I can take you to dinner and a show one day, my treat,” he said in one fluid sentence. After a pause he realized he had yet to introduce himself, and despite feeling like he had meet this lad somewhere before, it was still a formal event and introductions were in order. “Lasair Landevier Lupen, at your service,” he added said with a grin.

"I run a delivery business." Danny rested her arms loosely along the back of the bench. "I might take you up on that... Could always use a free meal." Danny squinted her eyes and looked up at the altar. She really wished they would just hurry and get this over with... "Nice to meet you Lassy. I'm Danielle." She looked down at Lone before speaking again. "Lassy, you should take the little girl here to dinner before me, to be honest. She looks like she could use a good meal... and probably a bath."
Lone noticed the two looking at her and brought her limbs in closer in an attempt to make her smaller. She probably shouldn't be here, should she? She trembled again nervously, but couldn't help but glance back, and she sort of looked at them with that blank stare of hers. After a few moments of this, she eventually inched her way somewhat closer, so that she was right next to the seats.

“Lassy? I haven’t heard that one before. I rather like it,” Lasair replied before looking down at the girl as well. She seemed shy and a little confused. Reaching into his jacket, he pulled out a small piece of candy, a cube of caramel wrapped in a thin cloth, and handed it to her. Speaking to both of them now, he continued. “Perhaps I shall do that as well. It depends on who is available first,” he grinned as he spoke and then pulled out another piece of caramel, handing it to Danielle

Zona hated wearing stuff like this and rarely ever did, in fact she only wore something like this on two occasions, neither being and enjoyable experience. Zona was in a black and aqua-blue, ruffled, one strapped dress, with ruffles that came down from the right shoulder strap and continued along the collar of the dress, that tapered down to a point. Another set of ruffles started on Zona's right hip and circled all the way around the dress, but was at a lower point in the back, creating the illusion that the dress was much longer in the back, several layers of ruffles followed underneath. With the dress showing Zona's left shoulder and arm her tattoos were out in the open, and popped against the blue and black of the dress. Zona's hair lay down her back with slight curls to it, just enough to give it the appearance there was more hair there. Upon her face lay a form fitting mask with two almond shaped holes where her eyes were, along with a pointed nose and two, small triangles on top of the mask, giving the it the look and shape of a fox face, besides to black and red coloring to it.
Zona had never been to a wedding so wearing the mask was weird, but made her think this was something normal at a nobles wedding. She would have said no to going but she felt she had to, especially after all Stephen had done for her. As she walked up to the Leland's estate she realized just how rich this boy was, her eyes grew wide as her mouth fell open in aww. She walked to where the wedding was being held and looked around for someone she might have known. Other than Lone, who seemed busy at the moment, she didn't recognize anyone, Zona hoped no one would recognize her either. With everything that had happened she was getting a ton of hate for who she was, and what had happened, she hoped the fox like mask would throw people off about who she was.
I may draw and post what Zona is wearing later... Maybe... Don't think so but still...

"No thanks, slick. I've got my own..." Danny fished in an inside pocket of her coat and pulled out a small apple flavored hard candy. "I appreciate the thought, though." Danny turned to watch Lone and sighed quietly inside the mask. Of course the girl was going to do this... just like when they met in the forest. Just like when they met in the Hovel. Of course. Danny unwrapped her apple candy and reached under the mask to pop it in her mouth. She looked at the nearest clock she could find and let out a quiet groan. This day was going to be torture...

People say girls are indecisive about clothes and pass hours in front of the mirrow before managing to choose an outfit, or throw emotional fits about having 'nothing to wear' while staring at a pile of dresses. But Edelweiss never had that problem, even if she had to choose an outfit to watch a wedding. Her plight was a little more... unorthodox. "Bloody, bloody, got pepper sauce (I need to clean this one), this one is scratched all over... J! Where is my black mask!" "Are you sure you should be choosing a wedding mask amid your killing stuff---" "Unfortunately I don't dung money, young lad. There's a limit to what I can expend monthly-- HERE IT IS."
Either way, the redhead's little wardrobe problem made her arrive a tad later at the Leland's place than she had initially planned. Her dark mask had a simple design that covered her face from nose and up and shaded her amber eyes in a way they looked red, and the (this one was new) almost-black tailored suit had a more feminine cut than usual with an undershirt that had lace at the collar and sleeve tips - her hair color was still easy to recognize and spot though, and she wasn't really under disguize today so didn't bother with making it more subtle in any manner. Today was an important day. Her second-in-command was getting married to Caitlin's second-in-command; it made her wonder for a second, did that mean they were sort of linking the two 'factions'.... but more important than that, this was Stephen's wedding so it was bound to have quite a few delicious desserts (and he promised her those) and she's going to make sure her fair share shall be eaten.
Now first, it wasn't time for that still. Edelweiss looked through the crowd for an empty seat; so many CAEsAL members were present it looked like a comics convention. She ended having to slide amid them until finding a free seat behind Zona and Lone.

Lone glanced at the candy, and reached over Danielle's legs to snatch it, then plopped herself in the seat next to her, looking at the caramel that lay in her palm.
