Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Lasair walked away as she stopped talking, heading to a small pub he had seen earlier in the evening. The sign was crooked and a little worn down, and obviously wasn’t treated to be rain resistant as the wooden thing was rather warped and chipped. But it still read “Lizzard’s Gizzard” in sickly green letters. No wonder the place was barren until well after the sun had sank.
Stepping through the door without drawing much attention to himself, Lasair took one look at the folks and saw that most of them were angry or sad. One of those pubs. He took on a solemn face himself and made his way over to the bar, ordering a mug of beer and began sipping on it in silence. In the meantime, he listened to the threads of conversation around him, trying to figure out how these people ticked.
He was patient, sipping his beer in silence. And once his mug was gone, he had a plan. The two people directly behind him had the loosest lips, and were also pretty drunk. He turned around and took up a chair at their table, keeping his face cold. “Would you fellows happen to know of the Holland family?” He gave them a scowl now, hoping they wouldn’t ask any questions.
The first guy, with a long gray beard, waved his hand in the air. “Some group of nobles,” he said with a bored expression.
The other guy however, who was much younger and had brown hair, raised an eyebrow. “Why you want to know?”
“Just came back into town and discovered they wronged my family while I was gone,” he said after a moment.
Nodding, the man accepted that reason. “Go to the central square and find the most run down bar you can.”
Lasair nodded, happy with the response, and tossed the guy a silver coin. “Thanks for your time,” he said, standing up to leave.
Ratna after Lasair was gone sneaked her way back to the Mad hatter Inn with only a few moment where she had to duck into hiding spot ,as she entreated the the inn she took off her hat as the bartender had already served her a drink of red wine , she thanked him and then asked "hay do you know the Count Darren Holland? i only heard the name but do you know anything about this count? " leaving a bit more gold on the bar , more then just paying for the drink, there was no way she would be left out of finding out more about this guy, hell if this Count Darren Holland came here then it give her the perfect chance to plan to spike his drink with some sort of mushroom that would make him go loopy for a bit or to get him drunk and then finding out what make hm tick , and then use it to her advantage.

"Just know he's doin' good things for people. Relocatin' money where it needs to be. Taking it from them Anders and giving it to good, honest, hard working humans." The barman looked at the girl and sniffed grumpily. "Why do you care? See, I heard somebody matching your description was terrorizing the town. Hell, I've got half a mind to call the guards on you just to be safe."

"my my , am shock , you think am that person, i heard about them too , they coursed me a lot of trouble you know," lied the Witch " am a perfectly normal human sir and i think you would not throw out a customer who already paid for 2 more nights here and this other person who has a pointed hat like mine is not me since i heard who did it was a man in violet " she said knowing that a owner would not have the gut to throw out a paid costumer" all I asked was to know about who this count is since i only arrived in town not so long ago and been hearing his name around" knowing this could go bad to worse , lucky she only came to lodan with her Grimoir , the clothes she had on her and the money that her mother gave her. she know that if things went south she could get out fast and pay somewhere else.

Well, this was definitely the most run down bar in the square. It was complete with chipped paint a sign that was harder to read than the last one. Walking in through the door, Lasair could see why he was directed to come here. Everyone was drunk, angry, or both. Names were being thrown around every which way, some good, some bad, and some without any context. If there was ever a bar to find gossip, it was here.
Scooping out the place, Lasair went up to the bar and ordered the same drink as before. He drank it slowly, doing nearly the exact same thing as he had done at the last bar; listening to figure out who had the loosest lips with the most information behind them.
Deciding on a man in the middle of the room, Lasair took his drink in hand and sat down at his table. He didn’t smile this time, instead looking solemn. “What can you tell me about the Holland family?” He scowled as he said the name of the family, hoping it’d give the impression that they had wronged him somehow.

"Toldja. He's just doin' good for good people." The barman turned away from Ratna and went back to polishing his glasses. The rest of the patrons, juding by the atmosphere, seemed to be of the same feeling as the barman...
The drunk Lasair approached looked up and scowled in return. "I don't remember nothin'... too busy trying to quench this thirst to try..." He tapped his glass knowingly at Lasair and waited.

Ratna continued to drink , this was becoming a fruitless, it was like that every human like this guy so much that they didnt see the other side that they where hurting people , she finished her drink and went upstairs to the rented room, the needed to think about how to ruin a man who was loved by these people ,the question was more about the method of doing it. if the old ways would not work. and if the people loved him then there had to be something. if she know where to look...maybe his home would be the best idea just the question of finding it and sneaking in. maybe he has a dirty secret there?
however she also had to consider if this count had no secrets , nothing that the people would bring him down, she would have to think up something , for now she waited for Lasair to come back or if the people has seen through her lie and try to dunk her in water or burn her on a bombfire. then atlest she had a window to jump through to get out of there fast .
(yep that's a witches life, pride, making jokes of her own death and planning everything as she goes.)

“Aye, I see your problem,” Lasair waved to the barkeep, buying a drink for the man. Information was usually never free, and the cost of a drink wasn’t much after all. He just hoped that he’d be able to learn something from this man, as most other people in the bar seemed too drunk or too violent to approach. Information gathering was usually easier in the daylight, but what could be done.
